Cutter Bill - AQHA Hall of Fame Induction 2003

Cutter Bill was inducted to the AQHA Hall of Fame in March of 2003. Present to accept the award for Cutter Bill was Cutter Bill's owner and my good friend Rex C Cauble. This would be Rex's last public appearence before he passed away in June of 2003. I worked for Mr. Cauble while in High School and into college. I worked at Cutter Bill Western World in Dallas and sometimes in Houston over summer breaks. I was fortunate enough to go to the Cauble Ranch from time to time and see Cutter Bill. By then he was pretty sick... but he was already such a legend, even to people that didn't follow cutting horses.
Mr. Cauble was a good man. He had his flaws, as we all do, but that doesn't take away from the man I knew. He was always very kind and respectful to me, just a kid working in his store. After all these years I still tell his story.

Rex Allen rode Cutter Bill into the arena at The Fort Worth Fat stock show in 1968 . Beautiful horse !

Great video and thanks for sharing. The history and accomplishments of Cutter Bill are far beyond amazing. To this day, there has been no other horse to equal, much less surpass, his greatness. Original horsepower at its best and a true Texas Legend that deserves rememberence and honor for the great cutting horse he was. How in the world it took until 2003 to get him inducted is beyond belief, but thanks to remoreland, Cutter Bill was inducted to the AQHA Hall of Fame. Long live the Legacy!

Met Cutter Bill at Houston rodeo back in late 60s or early 70s in a little stall on display,had heard of him,like wow so that’s Cutter Bill I was amazed

I also saw Cutter Bill in Shreveport, LA. He was cranky about anyone looking in his stall that day but can’t really blame him for wanting his privacy.
