This movie felt like somebody smoked a bunch of weed, played Deadspace, then watched Bram Stoker's Dracula, and decided they should merge the concepts into this.
“Dracula” Naruto-running around the empty corridors of the ship looking for someone after he’s already found and let them go half a dozen times. This movie is hilarious.
As a someone who grew up in the syfy horror era, I loveeeeedddddd this era!! All the movies of course weren’t blockbusters but it was such a 2000s coded moment in time.
I've been trying to track down a movie I watched that I never caught the name of for years off that channel. From what I remember a nerdy guy slowly starts getting spider powers and he thinks he's going to be a hero but mutates into a monster instead.
Aurora "What do you want?" Dracula "Darkness, infinite darkness." Aurora "And you set navigation to Earth? Best we could do is about 30 days of night" 😜
The execution is bad but there’s some great ideas in this movie. I love the idea of a classic Transylvanian Dracula in a science fiction setting. It’s also really interesting how it’s far enough in the future no one knows about vampires, crosses or even religion in general so they’re ill equipped to fight a vampire.
@ I missed that detail, it’s a cool science fiction idea. For a space faring people wood makes little sense. You could make a piece of wooden jewelry be worth a lot of money, but diamonds are cheap. Oh well, maybe someone will steal these ideas and put them in a better movie
Yeah for example van helsing shoulda already been a seasoned vampire hunter for the universe and his team is on a rescue mission to the space demeter where they come across Dracula the alpha vampire who falls for one of the crewmens ladies like in the novel but in space. With the proper budget they could retell the novel in space.
Seeing that Casper Van Dien was in this movie, I started to wonder how many vampire movies he's been in. Apparently only two movies, and one short. Loved him in Modern Vampires.
14:08 Fun Fact: Coolio was also in the 2000s Daredevil movie, Director's Cut. Not as a 1 off cameo either, but an integral character that introduced the Kingpin conspiracy to Matt and Fogey. One of the cases where a studio really butched a movie before release, the Director's Cut has entire plot lines that made the movie make more sense.
Trinity Blood sadly went unfinished. It won the creator a lucrative contract and he went out partying with his first paycheck only to be killed by a drunk driver. He was pretty young.
One of the wildest vampire movies with one of the wildest endings. I can only imagine the process that made this movie. Seems like such a mess. Hopefully they had a good time making it, at least.
I didn’t know there was a mini series called Ultraviolet but I was wondering if he could cover the Tim Burton movies like Dark Shadow and Sleepy Hollow
@srstriker6420 it's on the TH-cam , it's about vampire hunting secret police. Features Idris Elba and a young Stephen Moyers who went on to play Bill Compton in True Blood
This reminds me of a game we played in camp- you take a paper, write something, then give it to the next person. Second person can read only what person before them wrote, then bend the paper and write what they think should happen next and give it to next person, repeating the process. Somehow Dracula 3000 feels like script was written that way. XD
Look leprechaun in space is wacky which was perfect for the character,Jason in space was fucking badass especially when he got upgraded but Dracula in space there are some lines you do not cross and me personally the film didn't do it for me but if you like it I'm not going get on your ass for it.
I saw this when it first came out on SyFy Original. I thought it was cheesy then and now. It’s amusing.😁 Thank you for sharing. Take care and stay safe everyone!🙏🏻🌸
@@stephenchambers7972 could be a coop project though. Like renting or getting the rights for a single thing. I just heard the combo of dc and her a few times ^^.
Yours was the first channel I looked for with the release of the new Nosferatu movie. I was hoping you made a video on it already. Hopefully there will be one in the future that maybe compares the 2 versions.
It is definitely a weird movie. I have the feeling it got changed in editing a few times. Cool that Udo Kier is in it. He was in Andy Warhol’s Frankenstein and in Blade as well as other sf or horror movies. Casper is a huge horror fan apparently and that influenced him doing the movie.
Happy New Year Cogan Lollins. I hope you do Michael Corvin including his role in Underworld: Endless War and his possible return. Maybe a video on Kraven from the Underworld Franchise. Why not a video on your Top 5 best Vampire vs Werewolf fights from movies? Not to mention there's a new Wolfman movie coming out.
Thank you for the content you create, it’s genuinely very entertaining and worth watching, again. Thank you for the content you create. It’s really very great, and fun to watch! Thank you💜💜💜
The cover is so cool, and reminds me of the Necroscope book series. And LL Cool J was a treat in this, wierdly enough. Watched this at 15, never forgot it (for better or worse)
The one part i remember from this movie was Dracula gettong his arm cut off by a door and it lingering on him for like 5 seconds just screaming at his stump
So cool to see you do this movie. It was such a funny movie though honestly pretty creative. Not good, still creative. 😍 Any chance we could get a rundown on the BloodRayne or Legacy of Kain, Blood Omen series of games? I know you generally cover movies but these are two of my favorites so figured I'd throw them out.
i rented this movie from blockbuster with my dad and i swear even as a kid i thought this was such a strange movie also funny to see the old captain is one of the pure bloods from blade
So I guess you are going to do the Nosferatu remake and the new Wolfman movie can you also do Lifeforce,Lisa Frankenstein,Wolfen and Tim Burton movies like Sleepy Hollow,Big Fish,Dark Shadow and Beetlejuice?
Cogan, you should do a breakdown on the 90s tv series 'dark knight' about a vampire police detective. The older guy with the white hair in the first few seconds of this video was the antagonist of the series ( he also got merc'd out by Deacon Frost in the first Blade movie ).
I like when Buck Rogers did a vampire story. Not sure if you ever did that one from the TV show. I like the idea of vampires in space where day and night don't really exist and you are trapped on the ship. But I think they could have done a better job on this.
The Film and The Leprachaun series where he visits some urban city with gangs and then I believe he had a space one too or I'm thinking of Jason in space. Either way all are so bad that they become entertaining to laugh at. 😂 Plus Casper Van Dien is always a win! Rico's Roughnecks!!! Huahhhh!
The other movie you were talking about being in that movie somewhere is life force 80s movie but it's good the blonde girl was also in another vampire movie Boredello of Blood
Hi, Cogan! Tell me you've read the Necroscope series from Brian Lumley? Esp "Source World". Best vampires Ive come across. I hope this new year is a bit easier than last, brings heals to old wounds and love into our lives. I pray it does. Wampyri!
@coganLollins Someone mentioned a series called 'Ultraviolet'. You would be interested to know that one of the stars of that show, Susannah Harker, is the great granddaughter of the set designer for 'Dracula', and this guy, Joseph Harker (also a friend of Bram Stoker), may have been the one that gave the surname to Jonathan Harker!
one could say Orlok allowed the self-destruct to resume when he realized he could not alter the ship's course; it being a way to get back at the human and android, and to not waste anymore time (something he, until this point had near limitless of)
You really should watch and talk about movie "He never died" . In my opinion one of the best takes on vampire mythos there is. Alternative movie too. It is very original take, grounded.
This movie felt like somebody smoked a bunch of weed, played Deadspace, then watched Bram Stoker's Dracula, and decided they should merge the concepts into this.
Righttt 😂
Pretty sure this is older than deadspace
I actually enjoyed this movie.
Haha dead space 2008
Same with Jason 2000
“Dracula” Naruto-running around the empty corridors of the ship looking for someone after he’s already found and let them go half a dozen times. This movie is hilarious.
I was thinking of the movie Lifeforce as there are space vampires

I like how they have a bunch of vampire horror film veterans like Udo Kier and Erika eleniak from flesh for Dracula and bordello of blood respectively

Make em aliens that are super simler to vampires
Watch Life Force
Bought this DVD as a kid because of the awesome cover art (looked really gothic and horrifying), boy was I taken off guard.
A lot of old school movies also had great covers amazing paintings but when you watch the movies.

Udo Kier's been in several including the classics Shadow Of The Vampire and Andy Warhol's Blood For Dracula

This is just Last Voyage of the Demeter and Star Trek mixed together 😂
Last voyage meets event horizon, mix in some Jason X
You forgot "Lifeforce."
Dracula 3000 Leagues Under the Sea would have been cooler. Jaws vs Fangs. We’re gonna need a bigger cross.
I'm old, I thought that you meant the James Bond Jaws
Point of order: Lucy was killed in Dracula, not Mina. Easy mistake to make, they were friends. Lucy is transformed and killed by Van Helsing first
I honestly thought this was one of those low budget "In Name Only" Sequels to Dracula 2000. Well I learned something

The anime called "Trinity Blood". had a similar idea of vampires being a race from another planet. You should check it out. It got 24 episodes.
And before that, "Life Force" did it
@jumpingman8160 I am not familiar with that one. I gotta check that one out then. Thanks

Coolio seemed to be legit feeling this role it was nice to see
So Dracula in spaaace is like Event horizon with the premises of alien.
Thought this was what the sequel to dracula 2000 was called, I remember seeing this movie's cover and I guess I just combined the two.
