Well with one chapter of the homestead our Kunekune pigs coming to an end most people would probably not be bringing something new home. But I suppose this is not entirely new just more American Buff Geese. And why we are bringing them home is because we need to get some parts of our homestead up and running well for next year to keep producing what we need.

They're so pretty! If I ever end up having space for my animals, I will have to watch all your videos all over again for some online learning lol
We will have to do a series 😉 lol. But really, it just comes with years of experience and we are still learning and evolving. We are now.diacussing getting a couple.ponies to make a mini draft team lol.... if it isn't one thing it is another.

"So far" it is a slippery slope lol. But worth it. Rabbits and chickens are both so great for the homestead!
Ok, I think you are sending me on a path of learning about genetics. Im not going to lie, I have zero clue about how to get started.But maybe as I sit in the trailer at night during the winter I will take the time to learn! I wasnt suppose to have any more chickens this year and here we are LOL on the right path i guess 😂😂

@@BlandsPromisedLandRanch 100% I love these guys!! They are where I got my new chickens from. I wasn't suppose to.get anymore this year but Ploughmans backyard and I went to meet Chris and Steph yesterday to pick up the hens. Now I'm wanting to learn genetics! P.s. they rock in person too :)

rabbit chickens geese are staples i grow the grain for them and they reproduce and feed me lol

That is fantastic. We have the sheep as a staple but the rest make up the difference. It always seems to vary from year to year as to what produces better, but even with just the 3 you have great diversity for meals. I would be curious on how much space you allocate to growing grains. It is something we really want to try to do better with next year.

roosters have impeccable timing dont they? LOL
Oh my gosh, it is getting ridiculous around here. We have about 40 roosters and they are trying to find their voices. Always someone crowing and half the time it sounds like they are being tortured. Freezer camp is coming soon.
