Okay, I gotta ask. I've watched several Tekken 6 fight videos and even though practically every fighter sucks at defending against low attacks, they always seem to escape throws 90% of the time. Why is this? Is there some kind of universal "throw escape" button in this version instead of hitting the buttons similar to those used to execute the throw, or what? If not, how are they escaping them so often?
Practice, thats all there is to it and there is also this throw escape practice program thing we have on the net. We look out for what arm reaches out to grab. If its the left arm, we press 1 and if its a right, we press 2. If its both arms, press 1+2.
@DasBoSchitt although throws are always escapable . In high level king players they use mix up and buffer to keep it from being readable. watch closely as GS and isw .. both hands come out. so automactically a 1+2 is the counter. however GS is a 1 counter. king as a very good throw mix up game.. if play right
u know the secret to teh fff isw is the buffer that close. i have done it many times. its not that hard but u have to get use to the feel of it. its just ff F+2+4 in a buffer and it comes out no matter how close
need to get a super roulette by first getting a lucky on the regular roulette and align the treasure chests during the super roulette you're basically SUPER if you get it
@OmnipotentSquid it's a late reply but yeah king is so awesome. i have been playing him since tekken 3 and spend 100+ hours mastering his combos especially the 10 hit combos. the 10 hit combo that end in a spinning kick is my favorite
@nimer371 Find ur character, go through the command list and figure out what the launchers are, and then just take some time out and figure out what moves connect to eachother to keep your combo going. If u want examples, go in practice mode check the move list and scroll all the way down to the sample combos, or type ur charcter in youtube and youll find plenty of examples good luck
well grabbing could always be escaped by either pressing 1 or 2....or square and triangle...pressed at the exact moment of the grab instantly counters it...so you don't hit the button my guess is these players in tekken 6 are like used to a higher speed of gameplay and do it faster.......like for instance the 2+4 grab can be countered by pressing 1 or square at the time of the grab
@ToxicCox i only like king stlye but other characters are good i just think king brings alot to the table. Hardest grab combination is the rolling death cradle it took me forever to learn it.
instead of focusing on playing multiple characters i focus on defending all characters because thats how you win a game on high level play, for attack you only need one or two characters but you need to defend all of them!, i dont have time to learn to attack with all of them ^^
I heard users who use their first three fingers to tap the joystick simultaneously to get the fff command in. Me, I just buff it. It is kinda hard to do it with just your hand and that close. O_O
@luca346 Well that is the thing, every char DOESN'T have an equivalent move. there maybe some chars with similar moves but not everyone has them and most moves are fairly unique. If this wasnt the case then the game would be boring because all chars would be cookie cutter versions of each other with different skins. what makes the game interesting is each char is usually very different and cater to certain play styles. but some characters have certain moves which are considered top teir.
@John121192 It's not that easy.. you've buffer ff within few frames as king is recovering from his last attack whether f+1, or b+2, 1+2 to get him running as soon as the move ends., after that it's all when you want to finish with f+2+4 but yes with practice it can be accomplished 90% of the time.
@Idiotboxxx Yes there are some similar moves between characters like bryan and bruce or jin and kaz. but look at Jin in t4 for example. there is no similar moves to his just frames in t4 (B,f 1,2,d/f 1) which were crazy over powered moves and had almost no draw back to being used. Or there is nothing liek Jin's parry (b+1+2). Like I said if you are GOOd you can still win, I can kill someone with an assault rifle with a pistol if I'm smart, but the assault rifle is deadlier. Its like that
Anyone who thinks tiers dont mean anything doesn't know a lot about high level play. yes, any char can be beaten. but some characters have better moves than others, and those move sets will give an advantage. Are the advantages impossible to overcome? no, but picking a better character can give a clear cut advantage regardless.
@ToxicCox most very good like pro level players i know only play 1-2 main characters so that you can learn them by heart and find out to utilize all of their moves and throws and stuff, with basic fighting style you can play with almost every character since they share basic moves but you wont master a character like the one who plays only one char
most king players can do it, i can myself, just not very consistently the trick is to do a f,f tap then pause and press f+1+2. Everytime you see him do the running power bomb in a combo hes doing just that
@grinningsphinx Wow. You and your local players must be some of the world's best Tekken players. I mean, this King plays in Japan, where even the average players could win most tournaments in the U.S., and he still has nearly 2000 wins and less than 1000 losses. So tell me, then, how many world championships have you and the other players in your area won?
chain throws will be useless to S class players, they can all run away from it , at the 2nd or 3rd throws, trust me, i've been to korea, and challenged some random dudes, with king, well king is my main ,I'm not saying i'm good, or expert, but chain throws are pretty much useless , side steps and attack, or some giant swing throw are much more useful
@MrGrimmv2 king is not over powered.. but does take skill to play em good. brian is top top tier in tekken br so in tier list talk.. it shoulda been easy. king always been only mid tier
@grinningsphinx Okay, so you have good equipment. That's nice. As for highly skilled players, in my experience, the best players are in Japan, Korea, and China. If you still think that I am talking out my ass (I think that's what you meant; you said, "your" where you should have used "you're") then I personally invite you to visit me in Seoul. I will take you to the arcades where all the great players go. I'm curious to see this great ability of yours, since you say Tekken requires little skill.
@spideymayne i stopped playn wit bryan..but im pretty confident ill beat him wit ma lee..but i will take bak wat i said abut him bein suk..his not bad. but im better..i only played like 400 times total online wit lee nd i already passed 75%. i actually wish i cud put up ma fights but idk how..nd i dont wanna hav to learn it juz to put it up cz its not dat important to me
@ToxicCox No hes not eddy is king is the best you know how hard it is just playing with him i hate when people call him a noob they only say that cause they get their ass whoopped alot by king players trust i hand out king ass whoopings.
this helicopter level is honestly the only level i like in this game, only cause it shows how much namco can really do when they try

@FaTaL305
true
the wall set up and carry for brian in this game is insane.
Outstanding! I play as a King myself a long ago and I would never change him for any other character. :) But I'm still just a Marauder/Berserker. :S
the music for this stage is great
one of the closest matches the first round
and the final round where king did that combo, snap. . .
massa
6:34
That had to be the fastest input for the jumping running power-bomb ever.
@AceRandum ya if you play only with one char u can lern the grab-shiet ... but i play with 6 at my mains, and good with 15 chars ...
very very nice fight!
@zangetsu55 me too :) the starting combo for learning jaguar bomb in air.
@5:23 was that brians taunt cancel thing?
that's right... my jaw dropped as well... damn... he must possess a new level of epilepsy with that fast FFF...

@ToxicCox Thats pretty good man we should play agaisnt each other one day who is your best person.
@DasBoSchitt
although throws are always escapable . In high level king players they use mix up and buffer to keep it from being readable.

@OmnipotentSquid it's a late reply but yeah king is so awesome. i have been playing him since tekken 3 and spend 100+ hours mastering his combos especially the 10 hit combos. the 10 hit combo that end in a spinning kick is my favorite

your right! that is insanely fast!!
wat do u press on the xbox 360 2 do the grab king did at 0:42???
5:16 ... he's ticking out ^^ great juggle
where the hell is king's other mask?
well grabbing could always be escaped by either pressing 1 or 2....or square and triangle...pressed at the exact moment of the grab instantly counters it...so you don't hit the button my guess is these players in tekken 6 are like used to a higher speed of gameplay and do it faster.......like for instance the 2+4 grab can be countered by pressing 1 or square at the time of the grab
i like how kings combo ends with a grab
@ToxicCox i only like king stlye but other characters are good i just think king brings alot to the table. Hardest grab combination is the rolling death cradle it took me forever to learn it.
King seems a little overpowered or is he using some good combos?
what did bryan do from [1:23 ~ 1:24]
and how do I do it?
instead of focusing on playing multiple characters i focus on defending all characters because thats how you win a game on high level play, for attack you only need one or two characters but you need to defend all of them!, i dont have time to learn to attack with all of them ^^
How successful were you? Did you win any national tournaments with him?
Actually now,he has even more of them.
Belgium.
not alot of places for arcades.
True. Well perhaps not fail, but grab combos are key to King.
true yea XD its like wow fast hands or something
also there isnt a tier below a- in tekken this means tht all the chars are well balenced
I heard users who use their first three fingers to tap the joystick simultaneously to get the fff command in. Me, I just buff it. It is kinda hard to do it with just your hand and that close. O_O
how did you change the color when you're in rage death?
is king's 1+2,2 nc?
King is the beast.. The 7 golden letters in last battle are so justified..
I woulda thought that was impossible for a human player if I didn't see this.
@luca346

both players kick ass...
and tekken 6 look amazing!
where the hell did u get tekken 6 br ? i thought it was for fall 2009!!
@88luda88 no, the lesson is: Make a mistake and u'll lose
@John121192 It's not that easy.. you've buffer ff within few frames as king is recovering from his last attack whether f+1, or b+2, 1+2 to get him running as soon as the move ends., after that it's all when you want to finish with f+2+4

@ToxicCox most very good like pro level players i know only play 1-2 main characters so that you can learn them by heart and find out to utilize all of their moves and throws and stuff, with basic fighting style you can play with almost every character since they share basic moves but you wont master a character like the one who plays only one char
your tellin' me.
most king players can do it, i can myself, just not very consistently

"Europe does NOT have arcades" how? where in Europe you live?
most ppl know how to escape these combos
every bryan i see appears to do the same combo. startting at 1:25
No i bet this is a realy good king its just that the bryan player is so good thus making the king player look like hes not good.
awch ending
3:09 , 4:40 and 6:33 !
