Roxas's fight is summed up with one simple rule: In a battle between the fastest people in the universe, the one willing to go the slowest will often win. I.e. Roxas delays his shit on purpose to make you waste your chance to block.
I know this isn’t the tent of this comment but I’ve actually feel like even though Roxas and Sora are fast af, Ventus is the one that’s faster then both of them. Which makes sense, his name being Wind and as we know wind is very changing. Wind can be slow and calming or fast and unpredictable I recently watched a Mod of someone redoing the Vantias vs Ven & Mickey fight and good lord do they Ven speedy in it. Now I’m not saying that Roxas and Sora are slow, they are pretty damn fast especially Roxas when he uses his light powers combined with his duel keyblades. But that I feel it makes more sense that Ven be faster then both of them. Where as Sora is more natural in fighting and Roxas is a powerhouse and not aggressive but more… brutal then Sora and Ven are

Honestly, the fact Deebee made it all the way to the Roxas Final Mix fight WITHOUT Second Chance/Once More equipped (in Proud Mode!) is rather astonishing.
@@Loner098 I play on critical mode all the time without second chance/once more on critical, but I agree, the biggest accomplishment is he did it without dodge roll.
The reason a lot of people were telling him to level up limit form was so he would have dodge roll for the Roxas fight but I commend him for doing it without it even if he did suffer for it.
The fact that Dee completed the game without any of the drive form growth abilities, without equipping second chance or once more and barely if at all used reflect or blocked is actually very impressive. It's very apparent that the man loves pain but I'm happy he made it through. Lol Also, apologies if we got annoying with all our mentions of leveling up the growth abilities and myriad of hints and tips. We just wanted you to have the best experience possible. Congrats on finishing one of the best games around and thank you for allowing me to relive a part of my childhood Dee.
For real though, when I first played Kh2 all those years ago, I never knew how to unlock the growth abilities. Beat the game having only unlocked High Jump LV1. Game never outright tells you how to level them up

@@nicogalax You can see in the other videos he never presses X, I was fully expecting this to happen. While he is really good at games, having his attention divided due to streaming makes him miss some really obvious things.
2 interesting facts about Roxas: 1)His theme song (which plays during his boss fight and is considered once of the best KH songs) is called “The Other Promise”. While theres no a canonically deep or accurate reason its called this, I like to think its to symbolize Roxas’ promise to go to the beach with his friends (something he never got to do). It would make sense as Roxas as a character just wants to live as his own person. He also tells Sora “you make a good other” as Roxas is defined by Sora, which leads into the second fact 2) Roxas dual wielding is actually an ability that is extremely uncommon or perhaps impossible without certain requirements being met. Only he and Sora have been shown to be able to do so because (spoiler reasons). As for the Keyblades Nomura gave Roxas, he made them significant to people who were close to Sora. Oathkeeper, is supposed to represent Kairi, a Keyblade that you get in KH1 after successfully rescuing Kairi, symbolizes light, and has her luck charm on the chain (which coincidentally, Oathkeeper and Other Promise both have to do with promises of some kind). The other is Riku, a Keyblade thats dark, and has the Kanji symbol for Darkness at the end of the blade. Its obtained in the same room you fight Riku when he’s possessed by Ansem in Hollow Bastion. Finally these two keyblades also have a theme that Roxas is not exactly someone who is light like Sora. He is a being of inbetween, or in other words it better represents that he is a nobody, a being unsubscribed from light or darkness. He’s more akin to Riku in this way who chooses the road to Dawn, where as Roxas has mostly walked the path to Twilight
Out of all the Kingdom Hearts games, this one was always my favourite. It was so great to watch you get into it and show the game off like it deserves. I can’t wait to watch you play KH3! Keep up with the great content DeeBee!
I feel the same had a blast playing later versions but this, this one is something special. I Remember getting it one day before release at a local gaming shop I've never been more hyped for a video game and it delivered.
The Roxas fight is the hardest non-optional fight in KH2 and doing it without ANY growth abilities - those being High Jump, Glide, Aerial Dodge and the Quick Step one (forgot what's it called"....is hard af. Already having one growth ability would have made that fight way easier for you.
This whole series has been such a roller coaster! Proud of you for beating kh2! Cant wait for you to see the next games after you beat the secret bosses dee!
If it wasn’t obvious the dude in the cool armor is Xemnas. That armor is actually super important in context but you won’t figure out why for a little while.
Hey Dee I wanted to let you know that your gameplay heavily improved after you have beaten Roxas and after you grinded to level 99. The Roxas fight really has a very big difficulty spike but it teaches you how to fight from there on. You don’t know how proud I was seeing you using the magnet/thunder combo😁 This is one of the best combos and is even extremely useful on lvl 1. The last nobody fight before the cavern of remembrance felt impossible to me without this strat. It’s most useful while using stitch so he keeps your magic filled. And also thank you for this amazing journey so far❤️
After seeing the Roxas & Xigbar fights (& taking shots for each death) Moral of the story is: -always be prepared -always check equipment, abilities, & form levels before a fight. -use reflect -auto-reload items. -never give up Also, DBG learned his lesson. He leveled up his forms, has better equipment somewhat & has defeated 9 Data boss battles. He's struggling with Marluxia rn. But He's doing well for a newb.
Honestly the problem was people spamming "use reflect". Sure it's a good move if used correctly but useless when trying to escape the "death room" of Xigbar. He later thankfully ignored chat and just ran around in circles. He would've probably beaten both bosses much quicker if people didnt just spam "use reflect".

@@israelchavez6975 No joke it took me a day to defeat Roxas and a week on Xigbar and only the two bosses I have struggled on in proud mode and on critical mode I sweep the floor with both of them because I mastered basically everything.
@@Unorthodox- on critical mode took me 1-2 hours for each data boss, cuz after awhile, you're like: "ok I can block this, reflect here & there, do a combo here + reflect, combo here w/finisher move, be in limit form at x moment" etc. After like 3-5 tries for each boss, it was made easier cuz I analyzed their attack patterns & such. All are easy, you just have to have good memorization, equipment & skill to take them down. Also master reflect 😌. Like, you can defeat marluxia, Sai'x or Roxas within 5 minutes each or less
A little piece of advice when against a Boss that has 1 HP, DON’T combo attack!! You just need a finisher and the quickest kind is with your magic! Use other type of attack spells before using curaga since curaga is a “use all the MP you have left” kind of magic. Also Magnet magic doesn’t work on bosses. Hope this helps DeeBeeGeek
@@Sassaparilla data xaldin's final phase has him teleporting and spamming aero, the only safe attack that staggers him is magnet, but he still retains the shield, so you have to camp it out until he uses the jump move
@@lonredstar6904 yeah, I know about his shield. I just reflected when he tried to telefrag. I'm not a big meta guy, but Xaldin has always been one of my easier fights, especially compared to Axel, Demyx, and Xemnas, they were the only three I really struggled against.

My wife and I met John Bentley (voice of Barret) at PAX East in Boston in 2020, right before the shutdown. Really cool guy. He was there with his son as both a panelist and a fan. After his autograph session, he came up to us and we chatted about the game for a little while. That was really awesome of him to make that video for you.
Your reactions are always so great to watch, and it brings back so much excitement for me. This is one of my favorite Kingdom Hearts games and I am so happy you enjoyed it. I like how he beat Xemnas without using Riku’s limit ability. Probably due to him not realizing that he had that awesome ability. But I wish I could’ve seen his reaction to that. His mind would’ve been blown.

@@psycho6722 My all time favourite playthroughs are from „The NyanCave“ (a group of 3 friends streaming together) and „Nico B“. I would highly recommend checking these two out. Both channels get very passionate and immersed into the series wich is such a pleasure to watch as a fan of KH. Additionally NyanCaves playtrough is not only my favourite Lets Play of all time but it is my most favourite TH-cam experience ever. My recommendations however include channels with the whole series available to watch or channels that are still going through them. And obviously all of them are going through KH blindly.
Would you say he did better or worse that nicob and his death counter in 2 and 3, I remember a few bosses like a certain undead spirit and annoying gimmick gauntlet dlc battle increased the numbers massively
This is genuinely one of my favorite endings in all video game history watching you experience what I went through as a child is honestly such a joy, It's almost like reliving a part of my childhood and for that I thank you. Also give yourself some credit Deebee seeing how much you've improved since this finale is unreal it's like watching a completely different person.

This is my favorite game of my favorite series. I’ve been playing it since it was released in 2006 when I was just 7 and a half years old. So to see someone who knows nothing about the game fall in love with the series is so amazing to watch. I’m getting excited with him when he finds out information I’ve known for 15 years lmao. I’m so nostalgic for the feeling of finding out who Roxas is, that Ansem is actually Xehanort’s heartless and the REAL Ansem is DiZ, seeing the World That Never Was for the first time. This has been magical to watch. Thank you.
Yes I’m glad you finally beat one of the greatest games ever made! Thanks for taking us on this journey DBG! The Roxas fight took me ages but it was one of the greatest if not the greatest moment in the entire franchise, not to mention the Xigbar fight, holy moly that took weeks.
The Roxas fight is so hard and symbolic because it's fight for Both Sora and Roxas' survival . I mean The fight takes place in Sora's Station of Awakening/heart(aka the beginning area of the game that helps Awaken a power within) which is also Roxas. I loved the final mix version because the fight added so much Emotion to the game for me. Which made me feel so much pain and sorrow and Satisfaction for Roxas's story arc in the prologue. And just coming off of his data boss fight/ secret boss rush stream today I hope he uploads those like this video next.

The final Boss battles are so nostalgic lol I remember playing this on the hardest difficulty during a whole summer (I was grounded hah) & going INSANE doing the final battle over and over and over
I was able to tune in during the Roxas fights, dude you gotta give yourself more credit, you kept kicking his ass on Critical mode! Glad to see you enjoyed the ending of the game overall :D
@@tigerfestivals5137 Well that's just no true. Roxas (and all the game) is definitely harder in critical. It's only when you are very good that it becomes easier to play in critical. Like people who finds it easy to do a lvl 1 run and who knows every details of every fight kind of good. For most people, critical is way harder.
@@gabouchar9977 Roxas is definitely easier on crit dude. You fucking obliterate him if you steal his keyblades and do Last Arcanum. The main problem is Dee doesn't use reflect which is the thing that would make crit easy because it does ridiculous amounts of damage.
@@gabouchar9977 okay explain to me why Roxas took me like 4 tries on crit and like 30 on norl standard then lol. I had played a critical mode run by myself, in preparation to help my friend out with anything she had trouble with on normal mode (her first playthrough ever of kh2). To my surprise, Roxas completely kicked my ass on standard while previously I didn't even remember him being too much of a roadblock on critical.
Honestly, watching this unlocked my memories of this. I couldn't remember if I had beat this but with each boss you faced I remembered exactly how they worked and what you needed to do to beat them, from Roxas to Final fake Ansem. This game was a blast and I enjoyed how it was blowing you away. I wish I could have given advice like with the walking talking bullet hell shooter that had you raging. It was amazing to see who gave you the pep talk you needed. Absolute pure awesomeness.
I recently got back into the Kingdom Hearts games, no reason. I just felt the pull to get back into them. My grandma has also been in the hospital for the last month and a half and unfortunately, we lost her today. She had multiple things going on but ultimately, she became yet another victim of covid. I watched you play through KH1 and watched the CoM commentary. It inspired me to play through KH2 myself as I’ve played KH1 multiple times. Admittedly never played the side games but enjoyed watching the CoM commentary. Anyways, I played through KH2 chunks at a time as I also watched your play through and then would stop when you got to a part I hadn’t beaten myself yet lol. So I kind of played along with you. And I just have to say that playing these games has been a tremendous help through this extremely tough time in my life as has watching you play through them. The theme of the games just really resonates with me considering what happened. The theme of love and hearts and connections just really kind of helped get me through this and I know my grandma is still in my heart. So I just wanted to thank you for doing these play throughs because these games will forever be cherished by me because they will now always remind me of my dear, sweet Mema. Thank you Dee Bee Geek, for doing this and being a part of the coping process during this difficult time in my life. KH2 is definitely a spam the triangle button game. And that's why players always remove Auto-Limit to not accidentally trigger limit breaks. Auto-limit has to be the worst ability in the game.
Roxas going behind you also known as "reversal". The same technique when playing as Roxas against Dusks that we abused now used against us. Sad that some of the battles caused agitation thus unable to enjoy the music and moment. Interesting and amazing with some skills not used yet able to win in the end. Curious if you will fight all optional bosses (if so some grinding and expectations of defeat, learn, retry can help).
Definitely thought, watching this and having missed the streams, that the mods getting him something to help him was gonna be like, a professional playing through the fight to show him what he should do or a walkthrough or something. Was NOT expecting a pep talk by Barrett. WOW

One of my favorite games in the kh series was 365/2 days. I remember being so hyped when it came out on the ds. I hope Dee plays it, or at least watches the cutscenes and stuff.

I saw the Barret video in the Discord after it dropped, and I almost cried FOR Dee it was so moving! lol To the end speech; As an OG fan, I will tell you straight up that every emotion you feel from these games is something that every KH fan experiences, and even if it's your 358th time viewing or playing it, it will still strike those same emotions the same as it did the first time you went through it.
It's been so much fun watching your journey through this incredible series, Dee. And watching you overcome these challenges inspired me to overcome some bosses that I had give up on beating in a game myself. Looking forward to your continued journey!
What I learned from Dark Souls 1/2/3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and KH2 Lvl 1 is that it is always just a matter of getting up and try again. Nothing can stop you except of yourself!

It’s never explained where Riku got that Keyblade for Kairi or why she and her grandmother were around Ansem the Wise’s castle. My theory is Kairi’s grandmother was once a wielder and she was Ansem’s house keeper. On her deathbed (if she is dead), she gave her keyblade to Ansem for safekeeping so it could be passed to Kairi when she was older because she sensed she had gained the power to wield one from Aqua. So when he learned Kairi got captured by the organization, Ansem brought her Keyblade out of storage and gave it to Riku to give to her. I can’t wait for KH4, maybe it will give more back story into Kairi’s life before the Destint Islands.
The fact that the whole game makes you feel so bad for Roxas only for his boss fight to make you absolutely hate the guy (speaking from personal experience)
I’m newly subscribed after watching his Sora smash reveal reaction and after hearing his thoughts after beating KH3, I can already say he is already a true Kingdom Hearts fan
Seeing him suffer from the roxas fight and after he beat him and he said the rest of the game will be probably easy from that point on. I thought to myself poor DeeBeeGeek, he don’t know there are still other organizations members still left…
I remember the stream he thought he was going to finish the game. He was losing it on the same parts that I struggled on. DeeBeeGirl came in at the right spot for him to call it. The chat was so cool and supportive.
I just gotta say that the entirety of the final world sequence is just mere epicness. Fight after fight, boss after boss, revelation after revelation. And the final fight with Xemnas, even though is hard af, the final segment of the infinite reflects is just awesome (you did a great edit there to increace the epicness of that part, by the way ;) ) Congratulations on finish this awesome piece of a game! I don't know why but hearing people talk about their experience with Kingdom Hearts makes me super emotional and so proud to be part of the fandom the Kingdom Hearts games is hands-down my favorite video game series of all time I've been playing the games since Kingdom Hearts 2 first came out I went out and purchased a Nintendo DS and a PSP to be able to play the games that's how much I just love the story and for everyone else in the community I love you all and this is one of the best video game communities I've ever been apart of and I would like to thank every single one of y'all for that
When i first played kh2 i COULD NOT get past Xigbar for the fucking life of me. My youngest brother asked to try (context- i was 16 he was 7) and.... he got it. First try. With the sweet memories keyblade. Safe to say i was pissed and have held a grudge against Xigbar ever since
The secret ending from this game was the video I watched the most when TH-cam was still in its infancy back in 2006. Seeing someone’s genuine reaction in 2021 so close to my own brought waves upon waves of nostalgia. Thanks for that.
Additional note from end of video.. This series was all about teaching Dee that you can in fact press 2 buttons at once and make fun things happen... Still disappointed he didn't use Two Become One to go into master form ANYWHERE. you get a special surprise sometimes.

It must have been a rough ride with no Second Chance.That said, replaying the bosses over and over like this has dramatically increased your skill level and if you did the data fights, you'd see those results. I hope you go on to do Lingering Will, data fights and other extras but i'd get it if you didn't. Anyways props for not giving up.
This is a reason why everyone should play Kingdom hearts, although people might not like it, they might gain it back again to see and realize how amazing the game really is, it's really is an adventure throughout Disney worlds, but most of all going to the plot point of light and darkness at the same time, and it's just funny how this whole series of Kingdom hearts is just the greatest of the Great, especially the combat system, the stories, and people who don't understand why Sora is in Smash, and that's the point that they need to realize to play the games understand why sore is in the game

Honestly, the fact Deebee made it all the way to the Roxas Final Mix fight WITHOUT Second Chance/Once More equipped (in Proud Mode!) is rather astonishing.
He even did it without Dodge.
@@Loner098 I play on critical mode all the time without second chance/once more on critical, but I agree, the biggest accomplishment is he did it without dodge roll.
The reason a lot of people were telling him to level up limit form was so he would have dodge roll for the Roxas fight but I commend him for doing it without it even if he did suffer for it.

The fact that Dee completed the game without any of the drive form growth abilities, without equipping second chance or once more and barely if at all used reflect or blocked is actually very impressive. It's very apparent that the man loves pain but I'm happy he made it through. Lol Also, apologies if we got annoying with all our mentions of leveling up the growth abilities and myriad of hints and tips. We just wanted you to have the best experience possible. Congrats on finishing one of the best games around and thank you for allowing me to relive a part of my childhood Dee.

2 interesting facts about Roxas:
1)His theme song (which plays during his boss fight and is considered once of the best KH songs) is called “The Other Promise”. While theres no a canonically deep or accurate reason its called this, I like to think its to symbolize Roxas’ promise to go to the beach with his friends (something he never got to do). It would make sense as Roxas as a character just wants to live as his own person. He also tells Sora “you make a good other” as Roxas is defined by Sora, which leads into the second fact
2) Roxas dual wielding is actually an ability that is extremely uncommon or perhaps impossible without certain requirements being met. Only he and Sora have been shown to be able to do so because (spoiler reasons). As for the Keyblades Nomura gave Roxas, he made them significant to people who were close to Sora. Oathkeeper, is supposed to represent Kairi, a Keyblade that you get in KH1 after successfully rescuing Kairi, symbolizes light, and has her luck charm on the chain (which coincidentally, Oathkeeper and Other Promise both have to do with promises of some kind). The other is Riku, a Keyblade thats dark, and has the Kanji symbol for Darkness at the end of the blade. Its obtained in the same room you fight Riku when he’s possessed by Ansem in Hollow Bastion. Finally these two keyblades also have a theme that Roxas is not exactly someone who is light like Sora. He is a being of inbetween, or in other words it better represents that he is a nobody, a being unsubscribed from light or darkness. He’s more akin to Riku in this way who chooses the road to Dawn, where as Roxas has mostly walked the path to Twilight

The Roxas fight is the hardest non-optional fight in KH2 and doing it without ANY growth abilities - those being High Jump, Glide, Aerial Dodge and the Quick Step one (forgot what's it called"....is hard af.
Already having one growth ability would have made that fight way easier for you.
Roxas wasn't a fight originally, he was merely a cutscene in the original PS2 version of the game, they later made it an actual fight in Final Mix

Hey Dee I wanted to let you know that your gameplay heavily improved after you have beaten Roxas and after you grinded to level 99. The Roxas fight really has a very big difficulty spike but it teaches you how to fight from there on. You don’t know how proud I was seeing you using the magnet/thunder combo😁
This is one of the best combos and is even extremely useful on lvl 1. The last nobody fight before the cavern of remembrance felt impossible to me without this strat. It’s most useful while using stitch so he keeps your magic filled.

After seeing the Roxas & Xigbar fights (& taking shots for each death) Moral of the story is:
-always be prepared
-always check equipment, abilities, & form levels before a fight.
-use reflect
-auto-reload items.
-never give up
Also, DBG learned his lesson. He leveled up his forms, has better equipment somewhat & has defeated 9 Data boss battles. He's struggling with Marluxia rn.
But He's doing well for a newb.

Honestly the problem was people spamming "use reflect". Sure it's a good move if used correctly but useless when trying to escape the "death room" of Xigbar. He later thankfully ignored chat and just ran around in circles.
He would've probably beaten both bosses much quicker if people didnt just spam "use reflect".

@@israelchavez6975 No joke it took me a day to defeat Roxas and a week on Xigbar and only the two bosses I have struggled on in proud mode and on critical mode I sweep the floor with both of them because I mastered basically everything.
@@Unorthodox- on critical mode took me 1-2 hours for each data boss, cuz after awhile, you're like: "ok I can block this, reflect here & there, do a combo here + reflect, combo here w/finisher move, be in limit form at x moment" etc.
After like 3-5 tries for each boss, it was made easier cuz I analyzed their attack patterns & such. All are easy, you just have to have good memorization, equipment & skill to take them down. Also master reflect 😌.
Like, you can defeat marluxia, Sai'x or Roxas within 5 minutes each or less
A little piece of advice when against a Boss that has 1 HP, DON’T combo attack!! You just need a finisher and the quickest kind is with your magic! Use other type of attack spells before using curaga since curaga is a “use all the MP you have left” kind of magic. Also Magnet magic doesn’t work on bosses. Hope this helps DeeBeeGeek
Magnet is essential for beating data xaldin without tearing your eyes out. His final phase is nigh impossible without camping him with magnet

@@Sassaparilla data xaldin's final phase has him teleporting and spamming aero, the only safe attack that staggers him is magnet, but he still retains the shield, so you have to camp it out until he uses the jump move
@@lonredstar6904 yeah, I know about his shield. I just reflected when he tried to telefrag. I'm not a big meta guy, but Xaldin has always been one of my easier fights, especially compared to Axel, Demyx, and Xemnas, they were the only three I really struggled against.

After his autograph session, he came up to us and we chatted about the game for a little while. That was really awesome of him to make that video for you.
Your reactions are always so great to watch, and it brings back so much excitement for me. This is one of my favorite Kingdom Hearts games and I am so happy you enjoyed it. @@psycho6722 My all time favourite playthroughs are from „The NyanCave“ (a group of 3 friends streaming together) and „Nico B“. I would highly recommend checking these two out. Both channels get very passionate and immersed into the series wich is such a pleasure to watch as a fan of KH. Additionally NyanCaves playtrough is not only my favourite Lets Play of all time but it is my most favourite TH-cam experience ever.

This is genuinely one of my favorite endings in all video game history watching you experience what I went through as a child is honestly such a joy, It's almost like reliving a part of my childhood and for that I thank you. Also give yourself some credit Deebee seeing how much you've improved since this finale is unreal it's like watching a completely different person.

The secret ending is one of the best cutscenes ever made.
This is my favorite game of my favorite series. I’ve been playing it since it was released in 2006 when I was just 7 and a half years old. So to see someone who knows nothing about the game fall in love with the series is so amazing to watch. I’m getting excited with him when he finds out information I’ve known for 15 years lmao. I’m so nostalgic for the feeling of finding out who Roxas is, that Ansem is actually Xehanort’s heartless and the REAL Ansem is DiZ, seeing the World That Never Was for the first time. This has been magical to watch. Thank you.

The Roxas fight took me ages but it was one of the greatest if not the greatest moment in the entire franchise, not to mention the Xigbar fight, holy moly that took weeks.
The Roxas fight is so hard and symbolic because it's fight for Both Sora and Roxas' survival . I mean The fight takes place in Sora's Station of Awakening/heart(aka the beginning area of the game that helps Awaken a power within) which is also Roxas. I loved the final mix version because the fight added so much Emotion to the game for me. Which made me feel so much pain and sorrow and Satisfaction for Roxas's story arc in the prologue. And just coming off of his data boss fight/ secret boss rush stream today I hope he uploads those like this video next.

@@tigerfestivals5137 Well that's just no true. Roxas (and all the game) is definitely harder in critical. It's only when you are very good that it becomes easier to play in critical. Like people who finds it easy to do a lvl 1 run and who knows every details of every fight kind of good. For most people, critical is way harder.
@@gabouchar9977 Roxas is definitely easier on crit dude. You fucking obliterate him if you steal his keyblades and do Last Arcanum. The main problem is Dee doesn't use reflect which is the thing that would make crit easy because it does ridiculous amounts of damage.
@@gabouchar9977 okay explain to me why Roxas took me like 4 tries on crit and like 30 on norl standard then lol. I had played a critical mode run by myself, in preparation to help my friend out with anything she had trouble with on normal mode (her first playthrough ever of kh2). To my surprise, Roxas completely kicked my ass on standard while previously I didn't even remember him being too much of a roadblock on critical.
Only the people who watched the roxxas fight live know how painful it was for that man, which made its victory all the more satisfying 😁
Honestly, watching this unlocked my memories of this. I couldn't remember if I had beat this but with each boss you faced I remembered exactly how they worked and what you needed to do to beat them, from Roxas to Final fake Ansem. This game was a blast and I enjoyed how it was blowing you away. I wish I could have given advice like with the walking talking bullet hell shooter that had you raging. It was amazing to see who gave you the pep talk you needed. Absolute pure awesomeness.
I recently got back into the Kingdom Hearts games, no reason. I just felt the pull to get back into them. My grandma has also been in the hospital for the last month and a half and unfortunately, we lost her today. She had multiple things going on but ultimately, she became yet another victim of covid.
I watched you play through KH1 and watched the CoM commentary. It inspired me to play through KH2 myself as I’ve played KH1 multiple times. Admittedly never played the side games but enjoyed watching the CoM commentary.
Anyways, I played through KH2 chunks at a time as I also watched your play through and then would stop when you got to a part I hadn’t beaten myself yet lol. So I kind of played along with you. And I just have to say that playing these games has been a tremendous help through this extremely tough time in my life as has watching you play through them. The theme of the games just really resonates with me considering what happened. The theme of love and hearts and connections just really kind of helped get me through this and I know my grandma is still in my heart.
So I just wanted to thank you for doing these play throughs because these games will forever be cherished by me because they will now always remind me of my dear, sweet Mema.

KH2 is definitely a spam the triangle button game. And that's why players always remove Auto-Limit to not accidentally trigger limit breaks. Auto-limit has to be the worst ability in the game.
When there is an attempt counter popping up, you know the fight is gonna be tough.
Roxas going behind you also known as "reversal". The same technique when playing as Roxas against Dusks that we abused now used against us.
Sad that some of the battles caused agitation thus unable to enjoy the music and moment.
Interesting and amazing with some skills not used yet able to win in the end.
Curious if you will fight all optional bosses (if so some grinding and expectations of defeat, learn, retry can help).
Definitely thought, watching this and having missed the streams, that the mods getting him something to help him was gonna be like, a professional playing through the fight to show him what he should do or a walkthrough or something. Was NOT expecting a pep talk by Barrett. WOW

One of my favorite games in the kh series was 365/2 days. I remember being so hyped when it came out on the ds. I hope Dee plays it, or at least watches the cutscenes and stuff.

What I learned from Dark Souls 1/2/3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and KH2 Lvl 1 is that it is always just a matter of getting up and try again. Nothing can stop you except of yourself!

It’s never explained where Riku got that Keyblade for Kairi or why she and her grandmother were around Ansem the Wise’s castle. My theory is Kairi’s grandmother was once a wielder and she was Ansem’s house keeper. On her deathbed (if she is dead), she gave her keyblade to Ansem for safekeeping so it could be passed to Kairi when she was older because she sensed she had gained the power to wield one from Aqua. So when he learned Kairi got captured by the organization, Ansem brought her Keyblade out of storage and gave it to Riku to give to her. I can’t wait for KH4, maybe it will give more back story into Kairi’s life before the Destint Islands.

I remember the stream he thought he was going to finish the game. He was losing it on the same parts that I struggled on. DeeBeeGirl came in at the right spot for him to call it. The chat was so cool and supportive.

I don't know why but hearing people talk about their experience with Kingdom Hearts makes me super emotional and so proud to be part of the fandom the Kingdom Hearts games is hands-down my favorite video game series of all time I've been playing the games since Kingdom Hearts 2 first came out I went out and purchased a Nintendo DS and a PSP to be able to play the games that's how much I just love the story and for everyone else in the community I love you all and this is one of the best video game communities I've ever been apart of and I would like to thank every single one of y'all for that
When i first played kh2 i COULD NOT get past Xigbar for the fucking life of me. My youngest brother asked to try (context- i was 16 he was 7) and.... he got it. First try. With the sweet memories keyblade. Safe to say i was pissed and have held a grudge against Xigbar ever since

The secret ending from this game was the video I watched the most when TH-cam was still in its infancy back in 2006. Seeing someone’s genuine reaction in 2021 so close to my own brought waves upon waves of nostalgia. Thanks for that.

xigbar was excruciatingly hard to beat on my first play through. on the attempt i beat him on, i unlocked final form like some anime moment and beat him. Good shit dee
Wow. Wish you hadn’t cut your reaction to the ending cutscene. Audio is one thing but seeing the players reaction to the entire climax of everything would’ve been nice
It must have been a rough ride with no Second Chance.That said, replaying the bosses over and over like this has dramatically increased your skill level and if you did the data fights, you'd see those results.
I hope you go on to do Lingering Will, data fights and other extras but i'd get it if you didn't.

This is a reason why everyone should play Kingdom hearts, although people might not like it, they might gain it back again to see and realize how amazing the game really is, it's really is an adventure throughout Disney worlds, but most of all going to the plot point of light and darkness at the same time, and it's just funny how this whole series of Kingdom hearts is just the greatest of the Great, especially the combat system, the stories, and people who don't understand why Sora is in Smash, and that's the point that they need to realize to play the games understand why sore is in the game

@@harisakma5733 stickman sham streamed it on Twitch recently. It's really not repetitive at all and more than half of the game is just scenes so there is a lot to comment about
