Great Choreography Effie. Happy you've started teaching. You're one of my favorite dancers out there.

What I adore about Effie's choreo is the contrast of her smooth flow with sharp movements that accentuate both the dancer's ability alongside the music itself. That perfect blend between music and movement is what helps create such an effortless style within her choreography. Effie deserves so much more visibility and accolade for her work. She's one of those choreographers that makes a combo difficult without an excessive use of acrobatic tricks, similar to Kyle Hanagami. Outside of tap, it's so difficult to find a dance that is challenging because of the artistry it requires versus the ability to complete needle turns, aerials, and fouttes. Nothing against those moves of course, they're difficult as all get out and I have utmost respect for those that can perform them, but choreography that is a test of ability without their inclusion is more accessible to those of true talent. Props off to Effie!
In addition, it's so important to acknowledge how you can sense her overall style as a choreographer by comparing clips of her dancing to the choreography of others to videos of other dancers following her own choreography. So effortless yet impactful. Flowy yet sharp and edgy. The facial expressions, the muscle control, and, most importantly, the JOY! So in love with Effie's talent and I'm just so excited to see what she holds for the future of dance.

Wish the camera had given equal screen time to Erika George. For context, Erika is the dancer on the right during the duo shown at 3:10 onwards. She has such incredible control of her body and beautiful lines. My eye was so drawn to her that I was sad the view shifted so far away from her. I was only introduced to her in this video, but I can already tell that Erika has an incredible ability to visualize and project her movements to show her style while blending in musicality and clear expression. So glad this video credited her! I am so excited to follow her career!
