Ride along in a Candu Jr Mini Tugboat

- Ride along program during the July 2017 ACBS show in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Some participants in the Gravenhurst Antique & Classic boat show volunteered to give rides to anyone interested. Although my mini tugboat is neither antique nor classic, there were some adults and some children interested in taking a ride in a mini tugboat on a very windy day with very rough water even inside the Gravenhurst bay. Many more people hitched a ride on some beautiful antique & classic boats which could handle the rough water with ease and grace. Here are some examples:

Ah, the entire Canadian Navy came out in force I see.
All he needs with this cute little tug, is a little barge with seats so he can give rides.
But we didn't ride along.. :( id love to see inside this beautiful craft!

Looks like a toy but still cruises at 32 kph with a 20 HP engine and 2 adults on board 😊

Is there any reason for those flat panels at the bottom on the back of the boat?
For sure. They add lateral stability and I even added more floatation in those 2 panels which helped a lot especially if I have more than 2 adults on board. If you never have more than 2 adults on board, then the standard design is good enough in my opinion. The panels by the way are just an extension of the floor and not separate addons.
Many of the gigantic cruise ships have the same stabilizers, only much larger!
they are called Trim Tabs, Stabilizer Tabs

La Barone You must lead a very exciting life trolling TH-cam looking for things to criticize. I'm glad you set things right for the thousands of people who love this fun little boat and the dozens who asked for a ride during the Gravenhurst boat show and elsewhere. These poor misguided creatures should get a life and look for fun in other places. Unlike yourself, they don't appreciate the finer things in life and just look for cheap worthless thrills. Pity!
And by the way...I am 73 and I built this boat in nine months in my garage. I would love to see the beautiful things you must have built.
