I’ve done it two ways. #1 cook in oven on foil. #2 when I cook in a pan, I take the grease and dump in foil. Line a small dish or use sink drain or coffee cup. Then when it hardens just throw the foil out. No scraping. Easy peasy.

This is one of the best ways to fry crispy bacon and minimize the cleanup. We started using this method over 50 yrs ago when we were camping. Used a cast iron frying pan on a coleman stove. Since we discontinued our camping days we now use the outdoor gas grill with same clean and crispy results.
Irene - you had a lot of funny sayings in this one 😂 I’ve cooked bacon this way when I only had a stove. In our current trailer, I have an oven so I line a 9x12 pan with foil, then place parchment paper on top of the foil. I set my oven to 450° (which being a RV oven is probably way off) and cook for about 30 minutes turning it a few times. Then I can pour the bacon grease in a container and pretty much roll up the foil and parchment paper - very little clean up.
Bacon, the new superfood! Since Nicole and I went off of our vegan diet, I cook bacon in a similar way. But I still use a cast iron skillet and a lid. But yes, low heat is the key. I love using some of the bacon grease to cook our eggs in. This last Sunday, Nicole used the rest of the bacon grease to mix in with some venison burger when she made Pasties. Venison burger, carrots and sweet potatoes inside a homemade crust and a homemade gravy. Oh my, but they were delicious. The weather is starting to shift towards winter again, here in Bozeman. But Tuesday, Nicole and a friend did some trad multi-pitch climbing outside. It was around 55°F that day. In December. Just rember, when in doubt, Carey On!

After bacon removal throw in some sliced onions, and red peppers, then cherry tomatoes at the very end; makes for a great warm salad over a bed of romaine.
Actually, if you like full strips of bacon, all you need to do is to put the strips in without cutting them up. Then when they’re done nice and crispy, you just take them out and lay them on the paper towel while they are soft and pliable.
3 minutes 3 pieces, 4 minutes 4 pieces, microwave crispy, 3 layers of paper towels, on bottom, 2 layers of paper towels on top, limited grease and clean up, and a lot faster
Okay, let that bacon dry up very, very well. And then grind it, put it in a grinder and then take the ground up bacon and put it into your scone. Mix well. I bet that would be good.
