I pay thousands of dollars for my education and honestly you guys teach better than the 3 chemistry professors I've had- good info included and concise, love these videos! A huge thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I love Brightstorm. I was having a really hard time (..panicking) because our prof sprung an important quiz on us even though he hadn't taught this yet. I looked at other videos but they explain a different topic related to but not this. You explain it so well.
Is enthalpy of formation can also be zero for element if they are in same state as of their standard state even the temp. Is other than standard temp.(25°) (or STP condition)?
Standard state of a substance is the substance in its pure form at 1 atm pressure and the temperature of interest. We usually choose 25 deg. C but it is not defined as "the state of the substance at 25 degrees C."
THANK THANK SO MUCHHH!!! My ap chem teacher is so shitty (I'm very serious) that he does not teach us this. Thank you for being my virtual chem teacher :3
Most of the time when the equation in blue is the only thing given, they will give you the enthalpy values of each compound. Given this, just use the formula at 7:04.
How can I solve the problem by using this if the temperature changes. like before reaction is 25 C, after that is 400 c. do we seperate into 2 steps? like doing hess law first and then integrate Cp over 25 to 400. Im so confused
Hold up, that shortcut method you messed up i believe, shouldnt the 21 kj be positive at the end? Not negative? Because you have to switch the sign if its a reactant? You just taught me that 😂
My correction is right, she clearly rushed it and was clearly a little camera shy but we all make mistakes hopefully she or the channel owner will reply to confirm but if not dude im right
This video only teaches Hess's law, not the sum of the heat of formation of products minus sum of the heat of formation of reactants. If I wanted to learn about Hess's Law I would've clicked on your video titled "Hess's Law".

+Amber Paxton Thank you so much for watching our video! You can watch them conveniently on your phone, too!studystorm.com/y/chemistry
I can't understand chemistry without you ... your way of teaching fits me a lot !
You single handedly got me through homebound Chemistry. Thank You!
Probably one of the best youtube teachers that i have found! Good job!

Your the best chemistry teacher ever! I want you to be the mother of my children.
God just blessed you for just incredible tutoring. thank Miss!
I must say you're a good teacher, and also a pretty attractive person. carry on.

Thank you so much. You helped me catch up a great deal in my second chemistry course.

For the short-cut, delta H for H2S (rxtant) should be +21 kJ. Awesome review!
i remember watching ur videos in college. never thought i'd come back here again lol currently studying for my chemical PE exam.
Thank you for saving my chemistry mark!
God bless you and your life! Thank you so much!
The G.O.A.T. of chemistry!!!!!!
Great video, dont usually comment on videos but everything was clear and very helpful. Thank you
thaaaaaank you! makes so much more sense now
its really good, you doing amazing job - i have a request could you please use hess cycle as well. Thanks again
thankyou soooo much, made it so simple
you're brilliant! I always have an "AHA!" moment after watching your videos!
Thank you! very helpful :-) sorry i mightve missed it :-( but why did you leave the F element out when using easier method in the delta H rxn?
THANK THANK SO MUCHHH!!! My ap chem teacher is so shitty (I'm very serious) that he does not teach us this. Thank you for being my virtual chem teacher :3
Very good explanation 🙂
goodness !! I LOVE YOU OMG !!!! Thank you so much!!!!
GURL THANK YOU
Thank you so much, you're an awesome chem teacher! This helped me immensely, I really appreciate it. :)
Thanks ma'am it helped me a lot in my aptitude exam for mcat
Awesome video well done 🙏
U really solve my problem mam thank u so much mam
awesome video! why shouldn't you flip the sign on the -21 kj since that is the delta H for the reactants?? Do you not flip the equation?
thank you so much, finally got it
How do you got those formation reactions, which gave you the desired reaction ?
Wow Thanks! Now I'll definitely be able to do my chem. homework! >:D
thanks you so very much for your explanation. It helped a lot B-]
is this for only heat of formation or can it be used for heat of combustion also?
very helpful ... thank you.
great job.
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
thank you!
Superb!!! luv all ur clips.

Very good.
I still have a question, I'm not sure how to find the heat of formation of mgo using a Indirect route.
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Thanks a lot.
thanks maam
Awesome!!
THANK YOU :*
omg thank you so much!! helped me tonnnsss
(:
thank youuuuu
you're welcome!
Can you always use the sum of the delta h products - the sum of the delta h reactants= delta h of reaction? instead of applying hess' law?
wow thank you, helps me so much. thank you so much :):)
what if we have the same compound in the 3 different equations? do we have to work it out as you did first?
Hess' law can be used for 98% of the reactions, but the last way of finding Delta H can be used for some reactions and not the majority so watch out !
How can I solve the problem by using this if the temperature changes. like before reaction is 25 C, after that is 400 c. do we seperate into 2 steps? like doing hess law first and then integrate Cp over 25 to 400. Im so confused
thanks !!
thank u very much it's awesome...!
Thanks you
thank u soo much
you can also argue that fractional coefficients can exist because we are talking about moles and not molecules
But the short cut method you did isn’t working with other reactions
is sulfurs normal state at 25degrees celcius S8 a rhombic crystal?
thank you
really helpful
Thanks!
شكرآآ دختوره , ^ـ^
Thank you ,, Keep On
can you flip products to be the reactants??
bless you
i was hoping you would exp'ain a bit more why the shortcut works.
Thank you mam. :)
good to know thank you
@halthree3 Then you are in for a horror ride when you get to college. We condense what would normally take a couple weeks to learn in my math class.
thanks
that was very helpful and clear
what happens if you are only given the equation in the blue?
Hold up, that shortcut method you messed up i believe, shouldnt the 21 kj be positive at the end? Not negative? Because you have to switch the sign if its a reactant? You just taught me that 😂
I also saw this, can anyone confirm if it is 21 or -21?
My correction is right, she clearly rushed it and was clearly a little camera shy but we all make mistakes hopefully she or the channel owner will reply to confirm but if not dude im right

Thanks!
i couldn't focus on what you were saying instead i was busy at you. beautiful human being i liked body
i find these videos are probably the most helpful but i think you talk a little too fast sometimes so its a little harder to catch on!
when i watch i put the speed at .75 and its much easier to follow (a tip if you have trouble following quickly)
thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
We meet again 240p...-_-
everything bounced off my head
best english but i dont understand

Slow dowwnnnnnn! TY
Anyone 2020 be my friend 😂

why i am strangely attracted to her....good looking brains. Gets me every time. thanks!
Mam plz speak more clearly. Because i m not native speaker of English so difficult to catch the words quickly.
that was a 21 KJ ?? Am I the only one who had trouble reading that?
slow your role
Brightstorm vs KhanAcademy...
may be she is in a marathon.=D
Nerds
No wonder you keep choking on your tongue, you keep talking so dang fast.
HOLY MOLY WOMAN SLOW DOWN YOURE TALKING TOO FAST!!!
so boring..buh tankx though
thank you so much
+Amal Hajiomar Thank YOU for watching our video. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel(bit.ly/1kVXqu6)!
