I’m so glad someone said it about the one play in the Bills game where Rome should’ve kept running on his drag route to open up that crosser by Everrett over the MOF. I do love how Waldron ran a lot of under center with Caleb in the pre season. I’ve been to 3 practices at different times this pre season and his processing and pocket awareness is incredible for a rookie and I can’t wait for people who didn’t see practices to see this offense. They didn’t show anything at all on tape during the pre season except for once in the Bengals game which is the WR reverse to Rome.
I appreciate how you break down each play and explain formations, the play design concepts, and the Quarterback's read progression, and covering the details in his mechanics such as using his eyes to look off a safety or how he gets properly aligned with his feet when throwing the ball. Great analysis Chase! Have you been offered a coaching position by anyone?
He’s getting a lot of hate right now cause he hasn’t been able to show it in the regular season yet but you can tell he’s about to hit the ground running. He’s been working too hard and he’s too driven and too quarterback smart already at this stage
"Some of it's against backups" Who are still elite, elite athletes. If you make any NFL roster at any point, you're a complete animal. Don't discount playing against backups! They're still world-class!
Watching that throw in the back of the endzone to Rome, he let that ball go when Rome still had both feet inbounds. Not sure what RO was doing to drift backwards but it is a shame b/c that was a heck of a play and throw. Bank Rome will never fade like that out of the back of the endzone again.
I think he got a little confused by the end line. It wasn’t filled out like it normally is so he probably saw some extra green grass behind him and thought he had more room than he did
Awesome analysis, totally agree! I also think the unsung heroes of the Bear's off-season were the O-line. I thought they had the weakest unit on the team but they held it together well above expectations, even against the Bills starters.
Great video Chase! You just helped me become a Caleb fan. I have been back and forth on dropping Love for Williams as my back up QB in Fantasy. Going to pick Williams up right now!! Thank you sir!
As a die-hard bears fan since 2005 (I was 9 years old), I have never been more excited for a Chicago Bears QB. I had faith in both Mitch & Justin but CW18 is just different. Bear the fuck down.
Just found out that against the Bengals Caleb was calling his own plays because the speaker in his ear was choppy. No wonder the offense looked odd for a majority of his play
Yeah he said he was just piecing together some of the words. They had the audio. I think what was amazing is Caleb kept his composure and just rolled with it.
@@drewmorrison I think what's also amazing is that he didn't even mention that to the press after the game; essentially taking the blame for the bad play

Here we go let me guess: Bustin' sympathizer? How is he looking in Pittsburgh? Because he sucks. The OL was more than likely league average. Just, and I know this is crazy, a QB who can't read defenses, routinely holds the ball for 4-7 seconds, runs around like a chicken without a head at the slightest hint of pressure; is going to adversely affect how the OL supposedly protects him. Too many casuals are way too overly opinionated. Too many casuals wanting to blame Bustin' Fails on the Bears organization yet he's having the same problems in Pittsburgh. B-b-b-but those same casuals said it was gonna be different in Pittsburgh and everyone knows CHI can't facilitate a QB right?
