I'm glad I played this game but for some reason I can't get myself to play it twice. I think I just don't mix with alot of the changes here such as the stealth, side quests, frankly some frustrating encounters, and a story that feels alot less memorable then before. The combat is the best thing though it rocks. I also think having dead space remake happen just before and do everything I wanted in a remake stole some of the thunder for re4r in my case. Some of the new stuff is optional I know but i don't think that makes it any better. I wanna use stealth for effective ammo saving cause I'm playing on hardcore but I hate doing it. And some side challenges are literally just backtrack to do something stupid like kill rats then run back to the merchant. Re4r is a good game that feels somewhat bloated and kinda just kept going till I was done. I never really felt super excited to keep playing, more just to finish it so I got my money's worth. I think I still prefer the original even though I've never liked re4 as much as most to begin with. Anyway Great video good sir! Happy to listen to another well made discussion on a new game you enjoy
Thanks! The game definitely has some frustrating moments, some of which are more prevalent on my current 3rd playthrough (*ahem*, catapults). Fun fact about the side quests is you can actually clear some of them before picking up the blue paper to "accept" them (at least on NG+, haven't tested it on a new save). Haven't gotten around to Dead Space yet but I plan to soon
