Thanks Andrew. I make my tutorials available to everyone for free because I don't like excluding folks who may be facing some kind of financial hardship. Music should be available to all. Thing is, I put a huge amount of time and effort into making these videos, so if people can afford it and they're getting something out of my lessons I ask that they make a financial contribution. Here's a link to my website donation page: www.shutupandplay.ca/donate.html

I love the commentary on this one. The way the drums and the riff interact in a circular driving way. The song is nothing short of a masterpiece.
BTW The intro is so good and close to the original that it highlights the one missing element: Bonham. That feel is one bit of magic that has never re-appeared.

WOW!!! This is the best guitar lesson I have EVER seen on line. You are a TERRIFIC teacher and a GREAT teacher!!!I This praise comes from an on and off again professional guitar player and a long-time university professor (English) with a phd. . .When I was learning guitar in the late 70's & early 80's there was NOTHING like this available. . .I had to learn by ear and by watching great players on stage and talking to them backstage & etc. . .There is SO MUCH on line - but (once again) you have created the best lesson plan I have EVER SEEN!!! So many on-line teachers waste so much time, God bless 'em, and sometimes are inadvertently off-putting at times. . .but not you!!! It helps to have a great song - and "Kashmir" is one of them - I saw Led Zeppelin play here in St. Louis in 1975 - I was very young - and they played this song just before PHYSICAL GRAFFITI had come out - we were shocked and blown away hearing this live before the record was released!!! Always loved it best among a band's songs which are often very good. At any rate, Andrew, I will follow your lessons for as long as I can - you are a superb on-line teacher!!!!

You are the most inspirational teacher, That from what I've seen on TH-cam. You dumb it down and show individual finger positions when needed, and skip obvious positions that anyone on the level you are teaching doest't have to bear for someone at a beginner level. My comment is from you teaching me the way to play Kashmir. You are Awesome dude . Like your black on black and hands only, but one day I would like to see your face.

I understand that Kashmir is Robert Plant's favorite Led Zeppelin song -- as it is many, many, LZ fans' favorite.
But, in my opinion, Achilles Last Stand absolutely epitomizes everything astonishingly awesome about Led Zeppelin -- the intro, the break-neck pace, the floating half-time guitar solo, the synchronization between the bass and drums, Percy's telling of the car crash in Greece that severely injured his leg.
"It was an April morning when they told us we should not go..."

9:12 I wrote something that sounds sooo similar. my version is shorter. But you play a G power chord on the D string then you flat the octave, play an F and flat the octave, play a D and flat the octave and then play a normal C chord. He really did write all of the riffs
