Ok, for people who don’t know this is from XFire which is an elimination show where the group XNine was formed. The one crying is Xia Zhiguang (Guang guang) and the one eliminated is Chen Zexi. They were partners from the beginning of the show so they did all their performances together and lived together during the show. Guang Guang was around 14 or 15 at that time and Zexi is about 8 years older than him. So Guang Guang was very attached to him and thought of him like a big brother and close friend. So that’s why he was so upset with him getting eliminated and didn’t want to say goodbye. After the end of the show, the winners didn’t debut. Instead they formed XNine with 9 members from the show including the 4 who won the show and others that were voted by fans with some controversies. So Chen Zexi rejoined the group at that time. He is no longer part of the group now due to some issues and the group is currently on hiatus who knows if they will return. Some of the members are in another group now called R1SE including Guang Guang. All of the members are busy doing various things so you can look up their individual works. And Xiao Zhan became really insanely popular.

I find it really sweet that his best friend was sobbing into his back, but he was standing there without crying. I'm sure he did later though. I do feel kind of bad for laughing though that the other members were smacking him for crying like that. They were like, "he's just leaving the show, he's not dying, calm down". Definitely going to check out their other stuff! And apparently he was 15 here, so it's totally understandable why he cried the way he did. Being that young and having someone that you were "always together" with, according to the hosts, that has to leave would definitely be devastating. They also immediately looked at him when they said Chen Zexi was eliminated. They knew he'd be upset. I'm just glad that they're in a group together now.

I agree. Asian cultures seem more empathetic and sympathetic than many. Hispanic cultures tend to be similar. Good gosh, there’s just no telling how hard artist contestants work, here in the U.S. and around the world. The young man’s pain is palpable.
Yeah I like that everyone can be attached and affectionate freely. I think it's so sad how so many other cultures have adopted this macho way of like boys don't hug, adults don't hug, adults don't cry, teens don't cry... I think it's very dehumanizing even though people don't realize it. It's so normal so many people probably don't think of it that way, but it really is. It's human nature to be outwardly affectionate and hug and need to cry about things. It's so sweet how all of these boys just act so close and brotherly and no one is like "Bruh don't touch me ew." Instead they're all just bonding and it's great.

Hihihihi, one if them got eliminated, and one crying is the youngest ( I think he was 16yrs at the time) him and the eliminated guy were paired together since the beginning of the show(X-fire) which lasted 2 or 3 months. So basically they were close, since they would do everything together. Hope you understand the situation, hahahaha am not Chinese either but I recently watched the whole show because of Xiaozhan.

I find it really sweet that his best friend was sobbing into his back, but he was standing there without crying. I'm sure he did later though. I do feel kind of bad for laughing though that the other members were smacking him for crying like that. They were like, "he's just leaving the show, he's not dying, calm down". Definitely going to check out their other stuff!
And apparently he was 15 here, so it's totally understandable why he cried the way he did. Being that young and having someone that you were "always together" with, according to the hosts, that has to leave would definitely be devastating. They also immediately looked at him when they said Chen Zexi was eliminated. They knew he'd be upset. I'm just glad that they're in a group together now.

Yeah I like that everyone can be attached and affectionate freely. I think it's so sad how so many other cultures have adopted this macho way of like boys don't hug, adults don't hug, adults don't cry, teens don't cry... I think it's very dehumanizing even though people don't realize it. It's so normal so many people probably don't think of it that way, but it really is. It's human nature to be outwardly affectionate and hug and need to cry about things. It's so sweet how all of these boys just act so close and brotherly and no one is like "Bruh don't touch me ew." Instead they're all just bonding and it's great.

Hihihihi, one if them got eliminated, and one crying is the youngest ( I think he was 16yrs at the time) him and the eliminated guy were paired together since the beginning of the show(X-fire) which lasted 2 or 3 months. So basically they were close, since they would do everything together. Hope you understand the situation, hahahaha am not Chinese either but I recently watched the whole show because of Xiaozhan.
