Im not a fan of jonghyun and lee hi, but i can feel their friendship, lee hi is the one who always got depression, and her family and friends didnt even know about that, and shinee especially jonghyun always cheer her up and write this song for her. Eventhough he has the same depression as lee hi, he never show that to anyone, he just smile like nothing happened, and when he had already got on his limit, he commited suicide, and now the world just know about his depression, it is so sad for lee hi to sing this song in front of a lot of audience when she think about jonghyun but she still has to finish this song and said 'im okay, i can do this' but in the end she still cannot hold her tear
Jonghyun was open about his depression though, actually he was very vocal about it. Alot of his songs speak about it, and he used to talk about on his radio show Blue Night. Jonghyun also wrote a beautiful book called, "Skeleton Flower: Things that have been released and set free" and it touches upon the topic too. Jonghyun even had a black dog tattoo in reference to his battle with depression. In his case, he was vocal about his struggles but he was also so encouraging to everyone around him and his fans and always gave advice and supportive words for those struggling and wrote songs giving strength to people like this one, so people I suppose maybe thought it wasn't that bad or that Jonghyun was managing it well. All Jonghyun fans knew about it, we did everything we could to show our love and support, it was more of a case where there was nothing more we could do since in the end we are just fans or from a distance... Jonghyun always spoke about dealing with it, and helping us deal with it, that it shocked us to our core to hear that his own advice that saved us, could not save himself.

In fact, she suffered from panic disorder which made her hard to even make a small exhalation at that episode. This sense of suffocation made her not being able to do the music she could usually enjoy as she pleased. And hence when preparing her solo album in 2015, she asked her producer to find a comforting song about "breathe" for her. And her producer said he has the perfect track for her. Immediately after listening to it, Lee hi told her producer she wanted to have it. At first, she didn’t know it was Jonghyun’s track until they started recording, and she was incredibly surprised by Jonghyun's artwork when being told by her producer. Although they were not that close at the very beginning and Jonghyun didn’t meet with her to direct the recording, he gave her comments about the feelings that would go with each part of the song.

Well, shinee ALWAYS was with her, cheering her performances and achievements. And jonghyun always supported her, even when she was that shy and didn't understand why he was interested in her.
Maybe they weren't bestfriends but in their bad moments they were together and this linked them in a very beautiful and strong way.

Im not a fan of jonghyun and lee hi, but i can feel their friendship, lee hi is the one who always got depression, and her family and friends didnt even know about that, and shinee especially jonghyun always cheer her up and write this song for her. Eventhough he has the same depression as lee hi, he never show that to anyone, he just smile like nothing happened, and when he had already got on his limit, he commited suicide, and now the world just know about his depression, it is so sad for lee hi to sing this song in front of a lot of audience when she think about jonghyun but she still has to finish this song and said 'im okay, i can do this' but in the end she still cannot hold her tear
Jonghyun was open about his depression though, actually he was very vocal about it. Alot of his songs speak about it, and he used to talk about on his radio show Blue Night. Jonghyun also wrote a beautiful book called, "Skeleton Flower: Things that have been released and set free" and it touches upon the topic too. Jonghyun even had a black dog tattoo in reference to his battle with depression. In his case, he was vocal about his struggles but he was also so encouraging to everyone around him and his fans and always gave advice and supportive words for those struggling and wrote songs giving strength to people like this one, so people I suppose maybe thought it wasn't that bad or that Jonghyun was managing it well. All Jonghyun fans knew about it, we did everything we could to show our love and support, it was more of a case where there was nothing more we could do since in the end we are just fans or from a distance... Jonghyun always spoke about dealing with it, and helping us deal with it, that it shocked us to our core to hear that his own advice that saved us, could not save himself.

you guys need to realize that Hayi is also suffering from depression being stock in the dungeon for 3 YEARS. Then CB with this song written by Jonghyun for her this must be so hard for her. plus this song is so sad and comforting at the same time.

In fact, she suffered from panic disorder which made her hard to even make a small exhalation at that episode. This sense of suffocation made her not being able to do the music she could usually enjoy as she pleased. And hence when preparing her solo album in 2015, she asked her producer to find a comforting song about "breathe" for her. And her producer said he has the perfect track for her. Immediately after listening to it, Lee hi told her producer she wanted to have it. At first, she didn’t know it was Jonghyun’s track until they started recording, and she was incredibly surprised by Jonghyun's artwork when being told by her producer. Although they were not that close at the very beginning and Jonghyun didn’t meet with her to direct the recording, he gave her comments about the feelings that would go with each part of the song.

For many of us . . . that winter back in 2017 was one of the coldest and darkest winter . . . for me that winter never ended, it just gets colder each year as December approaches . . . however, Jonghyun is forever the warmth and comfort in that frozen winterland.
Poor girl ㅜㅜ She rarely expresses herself but she’s crying. I would too if I were her. The saddest part is Jonghyun wrote this song. He asked for everyone to say that he did well in the letter and he put that in this song in the last sentence ㅜㅜ
Can people stop mentioning hanbin, and it breaks my heart that he had to leave ikon; but tbh this is a tribute to Jonghyun. It's disrespectful to compare these losses, please respect Jonghyun's memory.

i completely agree, tribute to jonghyun or not, death and a member's departure are two completely different things and it's quite an insensitive comparison, especially to those who have gone through a loss of a close family member/friend.
