Unfortunately your immune system doesn't recognized the new virus yet. If you caught the virus, it will infect you. Your body will fight it inside as you get sick in fever, coughs, pneumonia. Only if after you survive all those, then your immune system will remember to kill that virus next time. Vaccine is the short cut to all that but it doesnt exist yet

Batik Air is a flagship carrier under Lion Group which the A330-300 recently chartered by the gov't of Indonesia to evacuate its citizen from Wuhan🛫
Maybe I am from Hong Kong I would need to say as far as I know in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, this virus is pretty damn scary and really affect us.

Malaysia airlines A380s are actually still in service. They are normally on standby ready to operate replacement or replace a aircraft for a flight
That is sensible advice. No need to panic about health if you are basically healthy and practice scrupulous hygiene. Eat right and look after yourself.
You started the video with a mask but by the end you had lost it, so please wear your mask! As for the video, Batik looks like a great and cheap option for business class. As always, an honest review, and again Josh please take care!❤️👍✈️

Well since european "business " class is basically economy seats with the middle left empty. I think our business class is like 100x better. We served better food as well and much friendlier customer service .

Hello josh! Garuda Indonesia recently continued their Jakarta Amsterdam route after 2 years.. Maybe you should try it out? A fan from London (I'm Indonesian)
I love that there is no screen at the back of the seat in front of you. I never use those screens, because the more you remember from a flight, the longer it feels in retrospect. That will also make all your future flights feel longer. You also should never look at the map that shows the position of your plane. I just makes you aware of how little you move on that map in every hour.
That part about the Coronavirus did not age well. I still remember that time when we thought that only a few thousand people might die.
The seat and service is really great for $150. It’s sad to see the plane so empty because of the virus though. Stay safe!
I do recommended batik air too. Its cheap, crews are friendly and professional, facilities are good even at the economy class. I flew alot with bati air!
For the domestic flight, they use the Airbus 320. Which is more upgrated for the entertaiment, etc! 👍🏻

Hi Josh, you make Indonesian airlines (Batik and Citilink) looks good. thank you. In KUL-Kuala Lumpur, Batik terminal is KLIA 1 (full service airlines terminal) but in CGK- Jakarta, Batik terminal is terminal 2 (low cost carrier terminal)
terminal 2 is not for lcc but the lion air grup have 90 persent their they rent the terminal2 but not all of the gates..
Citilink is my favorite Indonesian airline this far 💚
Great video! The reason that I would avoid traveling would be to stop the spread. Even if I wouldn’t get very sick, I could transfer it to other people that may not have a good immune system. Keep that in mind when traveling.
Please remember the head rest is the dirtiest place in the plane after the fold out table and bathroom amenities on a plane (I don’t want to think about pillows, blankets and seat pockets)

The seat pocket on my flight with Thai Airways from BKK to SGN a few days ago was definitely the dirtiest place I have ever seen on a plane. Looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months. 😱
The remote control has been known to carry fecal matter so carry a sandwich bag and drop the remote inside and use it that way
I would rather worried about what a not relaxed life I would have if I would be worried about germs on headrests and tables. I travel regulary in trains and public busses and don't see any reason why a plane would be more germ infested than a public bus and I never got ill from that. I fly next week for a holiday to a country in Africa, with 2 children, I have only medical grade hand alcohol with me because I won't like the holiday have destroyed by diarrhea.

I prefer Batik seat instead of Garuda seat. Garuda seat is designed for tall caucasian people I guess, the flat Batik seat is more comfortable for petite Asians.
However, Batik entertainment sometimes is inexistent, not as stated in the facilities you have been promised. And, the passengers are often merged with another Lion's airlines. When it happens, you cannot due the online check-in.

Seeing this video in 2023....during your video you said no one knows how long this crisis will be...it took 3 years !!!. I personally travelled for my last trip in February 2020. It took me more than 3 years to travel again..

I’m actually plan to take Batik Air’s flight from KL-Makassar(Indonesia)-KL, this coming December. And when I take a look on your review.. Its a lil bit impressed me.. Its just that I take for bussiness class with my mom, the ticket price is around Rp. 9.800.000+ / RM 3000 per pax for 3 hours 20 mins flight (one way), (so Im not prety sure how you manage to have a great deal price with Batik Air)😅😅, cuz for me its not worth it.. Plus, no access lounge with that price! The only reason, I’m taking it cuz its a direct flight.. About the inflight menu, I dont really like when Batik Air only serve such as bread or justa sandwich. No hotmeal other than that for the morning flight??.. So, maybe I still considered whether I should take Batik Air or Garuda Airlines cuz the price almost the same with Garuda Airlines for Rp.11,000,000/RM3,300++ and I can keep my point in Garuda miles. Its just that if I take Garuda Airlines, they have a one stop to Jakarta and then bound to Makassar.. Its not approrite situation cuz im flying with older citizen. I dont really like to face with the long queueu in Soekarno Hatta Immigration. The only good reason if I take Garuda, I can access to their lounge after the long queueu, But to transit for 5 hours with my mom, it will be tiring too. So, i’m still considered whether to take Batik Air for the next travel with direct flight.
Well, my favorite airlines across Indonesia is Garuda & Citilink(The low cost budget).. It was very nice to fly with them..

We flew batic from bali to brisbane , it was a pretty crappy flight in economy. Flight staff was same as brisbane to bali with malindo , tjey were so rude and hard cardboard cuterly . You couldnt use the fork and no knifes given as prongs were just half inch long coulfdnt pick up anything. Bussines different i assume. Wouldn't fly them economy again but your doing good half full plane love ur reviiews you are the stand out reveiver of flights in the world love ur work

As Indonesian, Batik and Citilink is my favorite choices. Followed by Super Airjet, Indonesia Air Asia, Garuda Indonesia, and the last is Lion Air.
I flew Alaskan Airlines from Portland to Seattle in economy on a 737- 900 very good leg room.
Really great vid, Josh! Glad you are well. Looked like a nice clean, neat plane, which is always important. I have a packet of bleach wipes I take with me when I travel to make certain my headrest and tray table are germ free. Can you get those in airports, Josh? If not, you can definitely get them on Amazon. Bleach kills everything!

I know your intention was to sample this new airline but certainly the best “deal” and luxury on that route has to be KLM’s flight with all the frills of long haul J for the same price as you paid.

Tom Hoffmann That’s what he said, during the Haj. Otherwise they sit empty most of the time, a purchase of hubris of a failed politically-connected management. Some were used on the HKG route and I’ve flown one in F years ago, just two of us in the cabin...both on awards!
Nice video, thanks for flying Batik Indonesia, that meal was very disappointing not gonna lie, maybe due to your flight time or because the flight catering was by Malindo? On say SIN-CGK at 13:00 you would get a full hot meal say fried rice+

due to no availability i took Airasia Jakarta from KL and they offer parent and 2 little kids, a cardboard quality sandwich with absolutely no taste! delay of 2hrs. wow that's budget quality I guess, well i guess its air slum quality

Service (Fyi: most of airlines in Japan Will serve you a drink only evenmore for >90 minutes flight) you should be glad when Indonesian airlines serve you a snackbox😁. cmiiw

Batik Air is another airline that I like second to Citilink Air. Batik Air is the sister flight of Lion Air. But I like them better than Lion Air. :D

Business Class in narrow body jets like the B737-900 ER & A321-200 Neo LR should have no less than 16 - 20 seats!!! especially the long haul flights!!!

English is not my first language too , but can still be respectful , i travel a lot for business and watch a lot of these vloggers , watched a few of his vids , he can come across as arrogant at times in his reviews..but then again .
