In my opinion and experience you are wrong about Polaris putting a factory turbo setup on the Pro R. Usually anytime a company decides to put a turbo on a performance based car, truck or sxs…etc, they tend to actually build and set the engine up around that. Ie, stronger rods, crank, cooling, oiling and fueling. The aftermarket turbo kits will still probably remain pretty much the same as they are with minor changes and more than likely safely make more power.
The aftermarket is so much better now than in 2017 when the x3 dropped. Polaris and can-am can make a good car and let the aftermarket handle the crazy custom mods and big turbo setups. The next evolution for polaris should be a dct not a turbo, can-am needs to move to a 4 cylinder. I am a can-am guy but if I were to buy a new car today it would be the pro r because of where you can take the power.
I think the first gen still looks better but do love the full doors, dash/cluster and seats they look awsome along with the speakers/sub but im more of a fan of the original front end on the 1st gen than this 2nd gen. I knew it was going to be minor upgrades and I'm so glad they didn't do a dct... I don't think they ever will go dct because they don't follow they lead.
I wish they did the steel belt like they did with the ranger. The pro r will eventually get a turbo from factory but it's going to be awhile probably in the next 3 to 4yrs
5k Canadian price increase for bead locks, heated/ vented seats, fresh air vents, doors and new software for the suspension button. And upgraded sound systems. I'm happy with my 24 pro r 4 but bead locks fresh air vents and the double tap for constant stiffness would be nice.
I agree wirh Dylan Polaris would most definitely be conservative on the turbo size. I disagree that they would need to redesign the motor. There is plenty of examples out there, that as long as you get the fueling right the Pro star 2.0 can handle a turbo. I think the aftermarket industry has won this battle for dollars for now.
Ya if they went conservative then no need for motor work but if they want to be competitive with the new builds coming out now they would need motor work to be reliable. IMO
FACT: In 2024 the SxS was a soft retail market for Polaris meaning too many potential (majority) buyers said no. Why would Polaris make the 25’s even more expensive with more HP? Just saying.

I have a 2022 pro XP ultimate, the 2025 upgrades that I like are the shield behind the radiator to help keep the heat out of the cab. I hope it is available to put into my car, here in Arizona with a windshield on the heat inside the cab is unbearable, I had to remove the windshield, I like the double tap for the max compression. I hope that is a firmware upgrade for my pro XP. I do not like the dash looks like it's been designed to be less expensive, no trim around the ride command like on mine, the seats look retro XP 1000 but a upgraded version. I prefer my seats better, I really like the inside door inserts that cover the framing and I do like my shark fins on each side. not sure if I like the front-end yet.
Ya I don’t have to worry about width for our riding. I know you guys would like the 2L in a 64. My only question is. If your trails are narrow and tight do you need more power or is it pointless? Honest question not a dig just because terrain only allows so much speed usually
@@desertsxs in all honestly for me im actually west coast/so cal, i ride trails in Baja as a spotter for dirt bike trail riders, the point of the 2.0L is for when were in the open areas but also needing to fit in the trails behind the riders, its a thought of how much versatility is needed, i could always put a kit or turbo but with so much dust and silt trying to keep the engine stock to factory and reliable is priority

I agree but that price tag will probably go way up to do that. I see that being hard for them to want to add that kinda of price tag to the masses.
