I think Ant could have grabbed more coins “along the way”. As long as the detour takes less than 1.5 seconds. For example, getting alll the blocks in the festival would have been optimal, since he was already doing the festival.

I got odyssey in February. It was worth it in my opinion but choose what you like, everyone has different opinions and you just follow what you and your heart thinks best.
There's a skip called 2D skip where you do a difficult jump in the 2D Bowser section that has you jump out and around a block above you to save the time of jumping across a gap and then back over, since where you're going is directly above you. XD Skip is doing the same jump in a different spot, but it saves no time if successful and will lose a decent chunk of time if failed. It's called XD Skip, since it's 2D Skip but for laughs.
