ATS Response to IV Fluid Shortage (Oct. 14, 2024 webinar)

ATS Secretary Michelle Ng Gong, MD, ATSF, led a webinar with leading medical experts to discuss ATS Guidance: 10 Steps for Hospitals Facing Intravenous Fluid Shortages (IVF). Also joining were Shazia Jamil, MD, Chair, ATS Late Breaking Learning Committee and head academic affairs, PCCSM, clinical professor at Scripps Health and University of California San Diego, Charles Dela Cruz, MD, PhD, ATSF, professor of medicine and director of acute lung injury and infection center at University of Pittsburgh, Hallie Prescott, MD, MSC, associate professor of medicine at University of Michigan and co-chair of "Surviving Sepsis" campaign, and Todd Rice, MD, MSC, Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Gong is chief of division of critical care medicine and chief of division of pulmonary medicine and director of critical care research at Montefiore Medical Center and Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She provides an overview of the current IVF shortage crisis and asks questions of the expert panel.
