@@mars-uy8lrif this was the case then Malaysia would also be on par or at least catching up with Singapore, the locals should really appreciate the island's achievements instead of taking it for granted, it's just the stresses of housing that cause all the problems, I'm sure Malaysia would be far more capable with the larger territory we have if our government had a forward thinking mindset like PAP's. If the housing situation could be solved with some miracle tech land reclamation projects, then Singapore would solve most of its financial problems. though I can't say much since I live in KL...

Consumer pay additional 2% tax. Gst is a multiple time n level taxation. A 2% gst increase can cause over goods price to be increase by 10% or more .
