I totally agree, this came out in when I was in college which brings back memories. I was in college from 2010-2015 and this was definitely part of what highlighted the 2010's, very nostalgic to watch this 10 years later.
Why do the minor Bellas get overlooked so much? Jessica has perfect high notes! Ashley has a good voice too. Denise grew a lot in her only film going from silent to a team player.
It’s a shame. I suspect that it’s because it’s more convenient plotwise and timewise in a movie with limited running time and a fairly streamlined plot.

I was around 11-12 when I first watched this movie and the "grab somebody sexy, tell 'em hey" part came on, that was 100% my awakening cause I remember the way I went wide eyed (visuals, definitely, but also her voice just hit me right)
I am 52 years old, and I only discovered these movies a year ago. I initially watched them because of both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, whom I absolutely adore. I love all 3 movies, but this scene is 1 I watch every day. It’s become my absolute favorite performance of all time. (And that’s not only because they cover the song of my generation). This, this Kindle’s joy for me each and every time.
Donald comes off as an asshole at the beginning of the movie, but he was clearly just influenced by Bumper. You can see at around 2:28 he looks at Jesse like "bro this girl wants you, take advantage". He wants the best for his buddies. I have a feeling that he was one of the main reasons Benji was accepted as well, he was kind of the head guy after Bumper quit.
My favorite part is when Bella starts singing Don't you forget about me by simple mine's? Then the chorus start singing it is well. ! Best part in my opinion.
My daughter and I saw all 3 films in the theater when they each came out just the two of us. Special moments we will always remember. We both bawled at the end of the final time.
