Are those the original samurai windscreen and side dash fasteners on the USA convertible models? Mine has actual hinges, so you just unscrew upper door frames , release side dash hinges and the windscreen just folds forward, nothing to unscrew on the dash and windscreen. You don't need to unscrew the centre dash screw either. Maybe a requirement in the US? Thanks for the info.
My dads need to be changed. I found in the glovebox, there is a window at the top of it that’s removable. It seems like the motor could come out of there? His is an 87, maybes yours is different?
Hey Hwy83. I have looked all over for a good video or even diagram of doing the windsheild wiper linkage replacement. I have seen videos for motor and wiper arms and blades but not for the linkage in the windsheild frame. My samurai was bought without it. And I've installed new linkage and bushings exactly how I saw it previously and when reinstalled the wipers move half way once and then bind or jam or something. if I unbolt the motor from the windshield frame the motor still works. So it's almost like it's bound up? I can't for the life of me figure it out and it's the only thing preventing me from a upcoming wheeling trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just need to get my wipers working again. All the parts are there and motor works all linkage is new. It's the routing or something I have wrong. Maybe I have splined the piece that goes onto wiper motor shaft wrong but it mounts up flush and bolts down just fine.
Hey bro I got a 97 tracker, just changed the oil and I saw a pretty good size metal shavings, engine starts right up but I hear a little knocking when fire up and after acceleration. My thoughts are bad oil pump. Is it worth it to replace it? Or is time now for a new engine? Cause the metal shavings concern. Greetings Cool videos
