@@nicholashartzler2205 I carry both. The utility knife gets all the grunt work and I go through blades pretty often. My pocket knife is a $15 dollar It only takes a few minutes with a good wet and some cardboard to make them sharper than a new utility blade. I carry and use the folding utility knife all the time. I actually have one that can hold extra blades. They work great for cutting net wrap off round bales of hay and when the blades get dull they are easy to change the blades vs sharpening something else.

Brilliant, instant flooring. Good looking and faster than a slab, probably better, too, in some ways eg, it'll never "crack"! Think I'll keep an eye out for a knife like yours and get one myself.

Looks like your very close to the last bar when you raise the dump bed, but you knew that. Enjoying your videos and jobs selected. Keep them coming!
I use my dewalt razor, utility blade knife multiple times a day. I have for over ten years. I love it! Blade gets dull, switch it out. Any other blade takes too much time and work keeping it sharp. Stick with what is best! I enjoy all your content.
It is beautiful though, the whole place.
She’s coming along great. Agreed more space between neighbors the better.
In tree covered land, rather than open space.
We need at least 1.km between houses
I have 3 or 4 of those folding knives that I have had for years and use them all the time.. just need new blade now and then..Your space is coming along great..
Nice work on leveling that broken concrete. I also love the folding knives.
I carry and use the folding utility knife all the time. I actually have one that can hold extra blades. They work great for cutting net wrap off round bales of hay and when the blades get dull they are easy to change the blades vs sharpening something else.
I worked construction and site demo's for years and found that knife to be pretty good strong and safe easy blade replace too where the plastic ones wont rust up but they tend to break also, but they are a nice little knife.
Nice job! Makes for a nicer garage and workspace. I still use my kobalt folding utility knife. No problems. Thanks for the great video! Lauren
You are incredible! Not only able to run all that equipment and work on it too, but do a pretty good job of video editing also. Thanks for the share!
I not only use one of those knives for work but I use that exact one! They are more compact and fit in your pocket better than the slide out ones .
Matt I carry a folding razor knife everyday. They work really well for cutting equipment mud flaps conveyer belting. Boom straps. The shop floor turned out nice. You nailed it mate. I’m hooked on your videos now. I’ll be back for the next one. Peace out. ✌🏻 ✌🏻
I have carried one of those knives for several years, and so has my sister, a really hand tool... best Trisha in Devon UK.xx
I know I am late to the party and this may have been answered but: what do you do for a living? You have an amazing knowledge base in your head! You have the cool equipment, you know how to weld, you have repaired tons of odd pieces of equipment over the years... where did you get such a wide range of skills?!?!?!? I swear it's like your about 200 years old based on all the stuff you know! HAHAHA
Yeah I carry the exact same one daily with a pack of replacements in the truck. Love it.
Brilliant, instant flooring. Good looking and faster than a slab, probably better, too, in some ways eg, it'll never "crack"!
I once had a muddy, steep drive onto which I dumped broken brick, stone, concrete, lime and green mortar every night for about a week. That drive ended up lasting for years!
Think I'll keep an eye out for a knife like yours and get one myself.
Man That Looks Amazing After the Tampering with the finer Rock and the fabric 42:48 @Diesel Creek
That came out great, and I get what your saying about neighbors..I hate even looking at mine..lol
“Seclusion”……Bruh, I am right there with ya !!
Judgeing by the light bar running down the centre of your building l can tell what time of day it is and which way is north lf you leave that ridge cap open you wont need a clock on the wall cheers😁
It turned out much better than I thought it would. I carry a folding razor knife with me all of the time. I have one exactly like yours - from Lowes. I do use a lot of blades, however. I have an empty medicine bottle with spare blades in the canvas tool bag I bring to the salvage yard.
You would think the weight of that dozer would Crush that Brick Block But nope its just setting it in the ground Bringing a Dozer to a Sledge Hammers Fight Huh Matt 😂21:00 @Diesel Creek
Thank you for respecting nature.
500 years from now the archeologists will be trying to figure out wth happened here. !! Lol
Actually good recycling of materials already on hand !
really nice use of ruble... other wise gettign dumbed in land fill./. maybe some rebar, form it up cement pad. ?
@@Scrapy-ih7ob most all concrete debris from demolitions gets reused as road base, atleast thats how it is around us

500 years from now , they'll probably have products you can buy off the shelf in a small container that you can just drop on the ground and will grow into huge driveway . A few more containers and you've got a parking lot . Then those archeologists will be wondering how hard someone must have worked to build something so simple to them . Like that Star Trek movie when " bones " Mcoy gave that lady in the hospital some pills and her diabetes was cured . Doc Mcoy said , " what are these people living in the dark ages ? " . " dammit Jim ! I'm a doctor , not a bricklayer ! " LoL
500 years from now they will telepat TH-cam into their brains and watch this video and know exactly what happened here.
I've practised "Social Distancing" on my 80 acres for the last 33 years. Living in the country, I can pi$$ off my front porch and shoot out my bathroom window. You'd get arrested for either of those in town.
hahaha wtf
😂😂😂. Funny about that!
Living the dream rock on!!!!!!
Na, I've done both those activity's in the city and the cops didn't even show up..
Would be lying if I didnt say that I was kinda jealous. I am really missing living on the country side after being in the city for 12 years.
Stumbled onto your channel and have already watched all the church videos. Building contractor here for 32 years and your neighbor just down 79 in Greene county. A folding razor knife and mini led flashlight are my two everyday carries. Really like your channel and subscribed. Thanks for the content.
Awesome thanks for watching!!
Boy you've come a long ways since this video
I'm a 71 year old woman and I keep several folding razor knives in and around the house and garage because sometimes scissors just won't cut it.
I have a lot of folding utility knives! Use them often.
Don't shoot at him, just feed him 😎👍
Good job on the shop building ✌️🤠👌
Wow, I was surprised at how good it all looks.
O yes the folding razor knife is a must. I'm in a warehouse all day cutting into boxes and stuff for pulling orders and when it's dull I get a new razor. It's great 👍
You are one incredible worker, great video as always. I had a few of those knives for work here in the UK, the only downside was the locking indent broke on them making blades fall out
"He'll be here til November at least" Nice sense of humor!
Lmao...i dont like people...a man after my own heart ❤.
Solidarity baby!
@peter d im retired from 32years in the grocery store business and I too am tired of people...lol..but not you guys tho ✌
old trucks equipment ect are fine but people ??? always thought it was me but
Yep, I can relate to that. When I finished driving taxis, I realised that for ten years, the only sober people I ever spoke to were my wife and my mother. People are over-rated.😁
I’ve often said, I love mankind. It’s people I can’t stand!
Love the folding box cutter/knife. I have large and small ones. (small one is for Sunday) I was never good at keeping a knife sharp. Love the videos! Love the content! Thanks for keeping the language clean. I don't have to worry when my grand kids watch with me!
no problem! I don't suppose you are the "keep on rocking in the free world" Neil Young are you??
@@DieselCreek LOL, You look to young to even know who Neil Young is! Haha. Sorry, not him. I had to work all my life (not party). He's Canadian. I'm from the good old USA! Love what you do. From watching your videos we do things much the same way. My kids call it polishing turds (just like my dad did)! I failed them somewhere along the way.
@@neil7692 haha that’s one of my biggest fears about having kids is them not being interested in the things that I am... as deep as I am into all this is more of a lifestyle than a Hobby so I hope they can appreciate it
Always carry a folding razor knife and have at least five more in shop and house. Love them!
My Milwaukee folding utility knife is with me everyday! Tried the rest, settled on the best...
Second this, I had the kobalt, the Milwaukee is miles better so much lighter
i know i'm late here but i can't be the only person who found the neat , straight lines of compacted gravel oddly satisfying ??
Folding utility knife carried everyday couldn’t live without it
Yep, cheap as they may be, I really like the Harbor Freight $3.99 folding utility knife. One in my truck, one in the metal shop, one in the wood shop, another in a kitchen drawer. I have them everywhere, they're great! Best, @BranchAndFoundry
Hello Matt , I live in wales( uk) ,I also have a couple of folding utility knives , I would be lost without them , so handy , best inventon ever . Love the channel , respect to a hard working bloke , regards , stay safe.👍👍😎
Hi There, Matt....I not only use one of those folding razor knives, but I've bought several for other people as well because I'm lost without it.....Thanks for a great video and sharing your go to tools with us!
I carry the black Husky version of that knife, the expensive (relatively speaking) version not the cheapie. I got tired of sharpening my pocket knife but must have a sharp knife on me.
I think I've got the same one, black metal husky with wood on the handle. Been using it for years now and I don't even bother with pocket knives anymore.
I feel absolutely naked without my folding box knife. I bet that thing comes out of my pocket 1000 times a day!
My son and I really appreciate you and what you and your family are doing and really encourage you to continue on this same path of real and positive (i feel its so importantin these recent days). You help inspire us to do better in our life and help reinforce our ultimate goal of the homesteading life and self-supporting ourselves. My son and I both love farmimg but want to transition into doing it for ourselves rather than for other people and your videos help our ideas flourish into something beautiful. Please keep on keeping on because you make a difference in so many more lives more than you probably realize, especially in viewers like us, which can be quiet and not comment or like every videos even tho we should double tap that like button. You are an inspire and make the world a better place, thank you!
Folding utility the number one tool amongst contractors for sure, The Milwaukee the best, one hand easy flip open and close
I love my kobalt foldable compactable knife. I have a couple of the Milwaukee knives too. One has a magnetic capratment for extra blades the other one is basically like the kobalt one. The only difference is there's a button you depress then a flick of the wrist, the blade flings out. I had a husky one too which was nice compacted with a slide type deal that being the blade in and out, sadly I was doing something my mind was racing and I left it on my bumper of my truck. Overall nice little knives simple easy quick gets the job down with no down time and quite cheap.
Love this, looking forward to your door installation. Just placed 2 forty foots side by side to open up in the winter to make temp living. Will bring in 2 addition 40's to butt up against as you have here then a door. Wife now desires to to rotate to face the opening towards the house for better security instead of facing the road. Concerned prior with moving a 35' gooseneck next to oh well. How wide is the interior 3 container widths or 3.5? Keep up the great vids...thank you
Damn Matt, that looks great, and it looks as hard as concrete, great job on that👌👌👌
It looks as hard as concrete probably because it IS concrete. Just sayin
Outstanding job.......one of my favorite channels on the tube
First off I probably got five or six of those folding knives when you buy one from home Depot they guarantee them for life I've had one with a pouch on my side for years and years. It's a husky brand. I really like your floor I didn't realize that stuff would pack that hard really good. Keep working hard see you next time keep the shiny side up God bless. Enough said..
I have several of the folding raiser knives as a mechanic and engineer I could not live with out it lol so handy and convenient to carry great videos slowly working my way through your collection loved the church series and the trucks as a fellow mechanic I love heavy machinery all the best from London uk
I use that same knife everyday at work mine's a husky folder. Rather be able to switch out blades. Solves broken tips etc.
You havent't mentioned the enormous storage space you've got with those 2 containers! Any plans on that? Or you gonna make them into 2 workshops with electricty and air?(and heating and windows...😅😅)
I was bummed the other day because my folding utility knife broke. Of course I’ve been less than kind to it on a daily basis, but I still love them!
I agree on the folding Utility Knife I have been carrying a Sheffield Folding Lockback for years and use it everyday.
Those and the Sheetrock and roofing knives. Scissors are real handy, keep a pair in tool boxes, car, near the bbq. Hate lying on rocks. Concrete everything., side walks 4 ft wide, pads outside of the garage.
