I hear what you're saying, and agree... but at the same time I think this concept is quite dated. They equally supported each other, and it was never one person fully supporting the other. Mackenzie was fully involved in the build... not to mention that she delivered a baby during that time! Gone are the days when the wife stays home to take care of the household, while the man goes out to "provide" for the family. Teamwork goes a lot further than support, as both partners need to be equally committed.

hmmm, you may not realize this, but thats a pretty chauvinist way of looking at things, and I dont mean to harsh your gig, since you obviously wish these people no ill will, bur for example, why is the woman in a secondary role? how do you know she wasnt doing as much work as he was, only off camera?? I think she mentioned that they both built the house, in an equal partnership, and NOT "the man" building with his woman, as the cook ,and support, and comic relief. It just goes to show how we still have along way to go, before there is true equality between the sexes. That said, homeslice did luck out, because laughter, and finding someone who laughs alot, and who looks at life in such a humerous way, is hard to find, and should be appreciated .. Because none of my ex-wives were ever that funny, goofy, and still sexy.
I've watched this happen and I still can't believe how these two young people have accomplished this endeavor. They are truly a couple of strong and determined people. I think they are going to have a great life together and will always look back on this as a truly sacred time in their life. God Bless them and the children.

They actually built a home in side metal walls that condinsating will eventually leak. Unless they used industrial spray foam. I had used a container once to just find water running from my ceiling as metal condinsates it leaks. It's why homes are wood or brick. I come from a contractor with 20 years experience and framing in wood walls on the bare metal simply condinsates unless the metal is sealed off by foam. Not basic insulated walls. As that will still build moister and mold in the walls... So congratulations your wastefull and should thought of the future not being a show off. There insufferable need to be noticed and they just had to make it about themselves. It's all they wanted was some attention and social media status . Since that's the prize. There popularaty lol it's harsh but it's facts. Mold will fuck the house up. Just give it 5 years
You two make me laugh and giggle by your down to earth laughter and jokes. There's a saying that to really know people, watch how they treat their pets. Your beautiful dog has been in almost every scene and how she does a little dance for the dog who's just sitting there watching, you know the dog is thinking 'This is just for me.' This is what LOVE looks like people. Two young kids, building a home... and a family together. If you can undertake something like that with NO experience but go for it anyway and still laugh and love through it all, you can go through anything. As God revealed to his holy prophets in the bible,The earth is not going to exist longer. God has fixed a day when the whole earth will be destroyed. The stars will fall down to the earth, the sun will no longer shine and the moon will turn red as blood and many more disasters that will fall on this earth. about this yahushua (Jesus) said in Luke 21:26, People will faint from fear as they wait for what is coming over the whole earth, for the powers in space will be driven from their courses. terrible days are in front of US.
Then the Antichrist(the beast) will appear on earth and will be deceiving and forcing people to receive his mark which is 666 on their foreheads or right hands. And no one will be able to buy or sell anything unless he has the mark. and, according to the Bible, when yahushua (Jesus) returns for the third time, the one who receives the antichrist’s number will never be forgiven day and night they will be tortured in the lake of fire forever.
And also demons from hell will come to the earth and will be torturing people. The bible said that, at that time, The suffering on earth will be so terrible, and that, at That time, fierce locusts that look like horses prepared for battle and have human faces and women’s hair, whose teeth are like lions teeth and have tails with stingers like scorpions, will come out of the abyss in hell and come to the earth, and torture people with their stings for five months, and that their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails, and their torment will be like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone; and that people on earth will seek death, during that time. but death will flee from them.
About that In Matthew 24:21 Yahushua(Jesus) said, For the trouble at that time will be far more terrible than any there has ever been, from the beginning of the world to this very day. Nor will there ever be anything like it again.
About that Yahushua(Jesus) also said in matthew 24:22 If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. And the elect are the holy christians.
A prophet by the name of dr david owuor said that God took him to space in a vision. And that there God showed him big gigantic planets that are bigger than the earth, that are coming to hit the earth. It will really happen because david owuor has prophesied about many disasters and they and they all happened. Including the 2004 tsunami.
Yahushua(Jesus) said that Before all these horrors and disasters begin to take place, there will be Earthquakes, floods, natural disasters, distress of nations, with perplexity, pestilences, wars, rumors of war, famines, etc. Yahushua(Jesus) said that all these disasters are signs to the bigger disasters that will hit the earth, also signs of his coming back to Earth to take the Holy Christians to the heaven so that they would not experience the end of the world. as it is written in the Bible, at the time all the Holy Christian which are dead that are in their Graves, will come back to life and get out of their Graves and their bodies will be transformed into glorify bodies that can never die or feel pain and they will ascend up to meet yahushua (Jesus) in the air. and the Holy Christians who are alive at that time will also be transformed in the same way and will also ascend up to meet yahushua (Jesus) and the other Holy in the air and so will yahushua (Jesus) take them all to heaven.
As you can see all the signs of the end of the world is taking place. Sin is terrible. Sin means when someone breaks the law and commandment of God. And according to the Bible, God does not forgive sins unless there is a payment for the sin, and the payment is death. In the bible God said, the souls that sins shall die. As you can see all humanity are guilty of sin. And all the good deeds of a person cannot cover up His bad deed.
But God provided a way for people to escape his anger because of his love, mercy and grace. And the way is that he sent his only divine son into the world in human form in israel through the virgin mary as a man named Yahushua whom the world calls Jesus, to come and pay for our sins by suffering, bleeding, was spat on, was beaten, was insulted, was nailed to the cross and died on the cross for our sins. But on the third day after his death, God his Heavenly Father, raised him up from the dead. And after he had appeared to his disciples and all his other followers who were his eyewitnesses, to assure them that he had risen from the dead, he ascended back to heaven and sat at the right hand side of God his father.
That was how Yahushua(Jesus) paid for the sins of all mankind. So that whoever repents of his sins and believe all these truths about him and begs him in prayer to forgive his sins and be his lord and savior and forgive those who wronged him and apologize to those he wronged and then get baptized in water, will be forgiven and saved from the end of the world, the day of THE LORD which is the day of YAHUWEH GOD where fire will come down from heaven and destroy the whole earth. And also he will be saved from hell fire after death were the worms that eats people never die and the fire that burns them is never put out as Yahushua(Jesus) said. and also saved from the lake of fire where all sinners who rejected Yahushua(Jesus) as their lord and savior will be thrown on judgment day. They will remain there with satan and demons to be separated from God and destroyed for ever.
And will then be given everlasting life in heaven and the new indescribable, beautiful, heavenly earth. Where there is only everlasting happiness.
In john 3:16, Yahushua(Jesus) said, for God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.
And in john 3:36 John the Baptist said, And anyone who believes in God's Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but remains under God's angry judgment."

You are inspiring, and brave. Not everyone could pull up stakes, sell everything and then throw themselves into a project as large as this. You make me feel there is hope for mankind with people such as yourselves doing what you have done.

Faizan Rana no it’s not effort. Once you use it once it stays the same. They give you colors to pick from. Once I clicked it the first time it stays the same. It helps keep your identity. I proudly identify as black. If they wanted ONE default colour they could give us blue hands. Then we’d have no choice. Instead if I commented without a profile picture, and use brown hands. Everyone would still know I identify as black. It’s also useful if I were to speak on a different topic that I PERSONALLY relate to. E.g. if I didn’t have a profile picture. They’d still know IM BLACK too. ❤️ I LOVE being black and appreciate black emojis 😂

Amazing! Makes me cry-memories… we built a house when I was a kid, moved out of suburbia, lived in a very old tiny cabin during build. Friends came up, camped, helped, things broke, the whole animal thing happened, it was amazing. Now crying because this is what I would have done with my guy had we met when were were younger

My husband may be the one to repair things around our home, upkeep yard work, see to vehicle maintenance, etc. but I'm the one that allows him the benefit of having something cooked on the table every night, that makes sure all the bills are paid, that keeps the home we live in clean and comfortable, that keeps our kids fed, clean, healthy, educated, kind, responsible, etc, that organizes birthdays and holidays and doctor's appointments and haircuts, and everything in between. Not to mention that I singlehandedly grew and gave birth to said kids in the midst of all of that!
I can promise you, just because the general role of a woman doesn't cover her in sweat and dirt and calluses, it's just as valuable. If not moreso! I can pay someone to fix my roof, you going to pay someone to have your children or run your household? Just something you might consider before the next time you make the sexist insinuation that most women don't "pull their weight"!

I've been a homebuilder for many years and know how complex a home and all its systems really are. These two are amazing, especially when you consider they started with no construction experience, not to mention concrete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, insulation and drywall, solar, well drilling and pumphouse operations. Man and woman can do anything they set their mind to. Good Show.

fantastic. My dad (I'm 72) build our home too...in the 30's...he was a visionaries too. He build inside toilet and bathroom! amazing those times. My mother felt SO lucky!
