not sure if you guys answer comments, but I am also a college runner and was wondering what you guys thought about forcing yourself to eat more when you know you're running more mileage but aren't hungry? Or say after a workout if you aren't hungry for a bit because running suppresses your appetite, would you eat right after anyways? or wait until youre hungry
We try to answer as much as we can. That’s a great question, what I will say is as a runner especially during big training blocks, being in a caloric deficit is one of the worst positions you can put yourself in. I always prioritize eating more as opposed to eating less. Especially when if your eating more of good simple unprocessed foods
Hey guys when did yall see big jumps in performance in high school? I’m going to be a senior but it’s also my second year of running and I’m hoping for a big improvement . Love your vids!
really solid advice! Im also trying to build up my mileage this summer from 45 miles per week and hopefully run low 60 early September! I adapted the 10 percent rule and it worked for me pretty well. Thx for another amazing video L&L! Can we have another episode for the Olympics later featuring Nico's race?😜
I have two pairs of shoes spikes for racing and Nike zoom structures for all my training. Would you say I should get another pair to add? And what would you recommend if so?
Hey Lex and Leo, I would like to say that I’m a runner just like you guys and you have been continuing to inspire me to improve as much as a I can and I love the videos!
Do Gatorade and other sports drinks help retain water the same way that salt does? Like if I were to mix some gatorade powder and water post run would it have the same effect?
Happy sunday dear ones..i. have olympice fever thanks to you guys. You are athletes of the first order..love my stanford guys much..friendships plus...blessings on this sunday....
This is actually so relatable because when I crave a snack, I now trade it off for apples and fruit instead of the processed snacks I used to eat. And I can say my energy and health has gone up substantially over these past few months🫡
Hey I’m conditioning for cross country and the heat makes it 2 time harder to run. I have asthma and my heart rate and lungs just can’t take it. Do you have any ideas? I tried starting slower after coming back from vacation but the progress is SO SLOW.
im a 8th grade runer and i want to know what the best race shoes i should get for cross contry if you anser this thank you both of you are some of my bigest idels
i always like to eat at least something small before i run in the morning. Maybe a bowl of muesli, or a peanut butter sandwich. I think its better not to run on an empty stomach especially if your doing a workout or longer run
I’m not sure how often you guys reply to comments but if you do I have two questions the point you made about avoiding your phone before bed got me wondering how much screen time you guys average per day? And also do you have any book recommendations for before bed?
Whatever pace works best for you. We certainly don’t run as fast during the summer, but we try to move a bit quicker sometimes. It’s always controlled.
alexio and leo young my glorious kings thank you for blessing us with another amazing video
“ the last pillar and prob the most important one, sleep”
Me watching this at 2:30 in the morning with work in 5 hours
I'm allergic to artificial dyes, and as a runner, I'm really glad I am. Can't have a lot of mainstream trash candy.

So excited to see yall on the same team as rocky Hansen! On running is getting all the cool young talent

I play competitive golf, so there were definitely some similarities. Love the content this summer.

we tend to lose track at times. Don't do what I did last weekend and run during Las Vegas record high temp. It was just 2 miles just no more

I do a "sugar fast" where I drop out candy and junk food for the entire season and gorge myself on fruit instead.

As a freshman runner who is been running 25-ish mpw should I try and build up my mileage to like 30-35?
im a 8th grade runer and i want to know what the best race shoes i should get for cross contry if you anser this thank you both of you are some of my bigest idels
i sent this on my moms laptop
I’d say any track distance spike you enjoy fitted with longer spikes should work fine, I’d pick the On 10k spike
Should I be eating before morning runs or afterwards? I always run first thing, but I'm not sure what's best

Should mileage be taken slow or fast during the summer?

Needed this, do you guys take creatine to help with more water?
i do, i think its helping
@@kiltrokills5527 bec I took creatine for lifting for 3 months and I hit crazy prs but got off of it for track
ngl you reminded me i needed to eat after my run at the start
if you are a cross country runner on the bigger side then how to you focusing on losing weight and still staying healthy?
Just focus on what gives you power, I don’t build upper body so much, but I keep my legs strong so I can be powerful
would love to see a full day of eating
They have a lot of day in the life’s where they show it
Sleep talk juxtapose with a coffee 😂
Do you guys think that taking creatine helps with your training? I have lots of people who tell me it’s good and lots who tell me it’s bad
Mainly football players and sprinters use creatine
Def don't ever want to over saturate with water, can lead to hyponatremia which simply put is low sodium levels in blood, and yeah that's not good
Thanks for the tips
:D New video!!! Awsome as always 💪😁
Do you guys ever have sweets and French fries type of stuff every once in a while?
Yes of course! We just try to keep our diet as clean as possible, and avoid processed foods when possible
Greeting from the xc males
Bro they are the reason I broke my schools long jump record❤
