Sent my Elitebook 735 G6 in and I had the same success. HP is awesome with their tech support and repair process.

man I'm glad everyone thinks hp has good tech support, because for me, I cannot reach any tech support, and I cannot even get it repaired through the warranty I have

My experience has been a nightmate. Multiple case numbers, multiple changes to associates. I was also told, that it was not registered, it is. I had called back 3 weeks later and got it registered, and made sure that it was a desktop warranty etc.
I have been getting the run around for the last 3 days

I’ve had both good HP warranty experience and both extraordinarily stupid banging your head against the wall warranty service from HP. All within the same summer on two different laptops. One laptop had 3-4 months of warranty left the other had 9 days left. It seems like theirs a hierarchy or tier to warranty status and how you get treated. Two laptops with the same issue. Battery life was almost half as good as new.
First experience was like 5 minutes, a few questions, it also helps I’m a pc tech enthusiast, so I’m not just a dummy who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, lithium ion batteries age, and when they do, the usable battery size shrinks. The first warranty tech person I talk to, I understood that 100%, in five minutes I had a replacement battery coming my way, they took care of all the shipping it was easy.
I love the experience I had so much with this elite book I got, I recommended it to a friend, keep in mind this is refurbished, but these were still under warranty, she got hers, same thing, battery not as good as new, she called HP warranty, and the HP warranty told them that the battery is not covered under warranty, I double checked her warranty and compared it to mine, it’s exactly the same the only difference is a couple of months.
I have since called HP about three or four times, and I’ve gotten three or four different responses, and they have hung up on me several other times as well as I was about ready to get into the conversation, so I decided to call in from my Google Voice number, where I finally got a human being to talk to. And that’s when I got 2-3 different answers.
First guy wanted me to run a bios diagnostic check, I asked him if the battery diagnostic check does more than just say if it passes or fail. Because I seen battery is 1% away from failing, give you 30 minutes of battery life, and still pass. So I don’t trust those idiot light pass or fail test, let’s just go with rated battery life, battery life is half as good, that’s an easy test. Sure enough that guy was not having it, he refused to tell me at what percent HP batteries are considered fail. And he said nobody knows.
I talk to a second person, this person actually had me run a software-based version of that same test, I asked him if it gives you a percentage, he said no, I ran the test, sure enough it actually gives a percentage, and sure enough the battery is worn out, it was in the 80% range, which anything below 90% lithium ion Age you might as well get a new battery.
He said it wouldn’t give you that information, it did, and since then, they just don’t want to work with you or don’t want to help with you, it’s so crazy, I talk to a person a few months ago and they took care of me really well, this time I’ve talked to three or four different people, all of them wanted to give me a runaround, none of them gave me straight answers, they wouldn’t even send me to a higher up tech who actually knows this stuff.
And I have dealt with Dell warranty, what my recent experience now is actually worse than Dell, even though I think Dell is a nightmare, at least Dell will try to get some progress and work done.
So if you got good HP service, you probably talked to a technician who actually cared, but I bet you if you called five different times you could’ve gotten five different answers.

    Actually thanks for this information.....
I also have an HP Pavilion X360
My notebook display also started to flicker
therefore I've searched and watched so many videos to understand how I repair my pc using a warranty
I'm also having a warranty on my product
In my case, notebook star to flickering suddenly I've thought that it was a problem of operating system
    Are they erase your data?
How do I claim an HP warranty?
This is a very useful video, therefore, thanks again for this...

I called HP technical support, described the issue, and they sent me a repair order number, and within days came the box. (You'll find out whether or not its under warranty when you give them your Serial #) You could also plug in your express service code or service tag into HP's website to figure it out. They do indeed erase the data on the SSD, so backup your data if possible. Thanks for the kind words, and have a fantastic day! :)

Hi! I’m going to send in my laptop to hp warranty in a couple days and I’ve never been through this kind of process, I was wondering how they went about picking up the package? Did you have to wait for someone to pick it up or did you mail it through a postal office ?

    • @TechBizmo
      @TechBizmo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

You usually will mail it through FedEx. That's the choice of shipping service HP uses. So you'll have to drop it off at your local facility.

Probably won’t get a reply, but hp has been a fucking nightmare. I’ve tried contacting support because my printer’s ink won’t dry, and it’s been considered a hardware failure, however in order for me to get a new printer shipped to my house, the guy wanted my full credit card number?? Is this normal?? I don’t even want a new printer at this point. I just want a refund. I have no idea what to do.

So I didn't know anything about the warranty expired. I got my HP laptop as a gift. Recently a couple of months ago my laptop stop working without its charger. It will shut down when I removed its charger so it only works with its chargers. I recently look up different options online to see the problem then I find out that my Manufacturer's warranty has expired. My question is there anything I can do to fix it.
Update: Got the issue fix at Best Buy, I order new battery on Amazon.
Recommendation-go to your local Best Buy, the tech employees will help you fix the issues.

Possibly the battery fell out of the connector, or maybe it just needs a new battery period. I could be wrong but both are a possibility

I have the same problem as you now.I contacted with HP and in my country, the customer technical support are quite rude. Also, the cooperated delivery company are totally bad, they just came and passed by address without calling or ringing the bell. Then they told me that the drivers don't allowed to use phones,so I have to wait for them.I standing in the lounge,in front of the door for 11 hours straight,in winter.I definitely will not let these two companies with my computer ever.

    • @TechBizmo

... don't blame HP my friend if you're the one who doesn't know how to start a claim. If your product is even under warranty. Its really straightforward. Call HP and explain the situation.

The point of the video ain’t just to share how HP does in terms of warranty repairs. It was also to share my story and experiences with the repair. Hence the title of the video.
