Yes sir, thats how i was setting it up. My thought was if one side is locked, there really isnt a need for the other side because it wont release. If someone wanted your stuff bad enough, they could in theory twist and tear at it with only one side locked but thats a lot of effort and noise most bad guys dont want to deal with. Thanks for watching.
Hey Mike. I have a set of these locks on the rack of my 2016 fat bob i just bpught but dont have a key. Is there any way to unlock them or somewhere i can get a key?
@@RobertEddy-l7m best bet would be to try a locksmith, some specialize in auto and motorcycle. Or maybe the company that sold them, I think there is a serial number on the latch. Wish you luck.
truth be told, I had plans for loctite until I broke that screw. Then got gun-shy about make it hard at all to come out. I was also wondering if it would be needed with the spring washers + locking washers. I may circle back and check them from time to time to see if they start to back out. First up, is fixing that broken post now.
from your video, I'm guessing you only need to use one lock per detachable item?

@@Mikeityourself I have lost a screw out of them before .
Roger that, im no fool to pass up good advice.
So how easy would it be to remove and steal your seat and ECM? 😂
They got locks for the seat too. Honestly if someone wants it bad enough they are going to take whatever it is, right. Thanks for watching.
Maybe Harley's branded version better all round
oval washers might cover it.
Sounds like a trip to the local Home Depot. Thanks for watching.
