Monsters University is like a classic in my house for some reason. I think because we could just turn it on in the background and watch it occasionally. It also gives you an idea of how Mike and Sulley become friends and how Randall is the villain. I understand Sean, but for me it’s a Top 10 at least. Love the videos!
Monsters University is underrated imo
Dude i agree so much, i find MU one of the better ones too, and one of the ones iv rewatched the most
so relatable! but the reason I like it so much is because it hit me at the right time in 2013 it was so scary starting college it’s easily in my top 5
Agreed, I think it is a very underrated movie
It is underrated because it is so basic
and simple as a film but it kind of doesn’t make sense. Monster’s Inc shows Mike and Sulley as childhood friends but Monster’s University shows that they met in college.
I was shocked when you put Toy Story 4 so high, but with your explanation, it just shows how incredible Pixar is to change people's perspectives based on the viewers age.
Yea Toy Story 4 is hot trash
I didn’t enjoy it as much as 1 and 2
Toy Story 4 was great!
Not as great as 1-3, but still...
toy story 4 was such a disappointment
@@strikerbowls791 nah bro. Toy Story 4 was great. It's a fucking kids movie. It's fun. Who cares about plot. It's not as good as the others but it gave a satisfying conclusion.
As someone who is going to college in a few months, rewatching Toy Story 3 really hit my emotions and actually made me cry in the end.
Yea…..Toy Story 3 hits different when you get older 🥲
As someone who is in their senior year, rewatching that movie made me cry because it was so relatable
Definitely deserves to be high
*higher
Damn. Maybe it’s just me but ratatouille is easily top 5 so underrated. That film is literally art
It is art
It's not that it's underrated, it's just that there are so many 10/10 pixar movies that it could end up anywhere from top 5 to top 15. It's around 10/11/12 for me which sickens me that I have it that low 😂
As a person who is almost phobic about rodents I only saw it at the urging from my daughter. I saw it at the young age of 50 and it’s easily in my top-five favorite Pixar movies. Criminally underrated!!
I agree. To me it has the feel of a classic comedy from the 1950s like Harvey, Auntie Mame, or Some Like It Hot. It has a perfect mix of heart, humor, and mild intrigue that made those kinds of films successful and a joy to watch. The animation is stunning, and the score is exquisite. Even the traditionally animated closing credit sequence is worth watching.
Ratatouille is my all time favorite Pixar movie EVER!!! Or just Disney in general!
Am I the only one which likes Cars 2?😭
Yes
No but it’s cause of nostalgia for me
Yeah lol
It’s not great but I have a lot of nostalgia for it. So it’s very watchable to me.
It should've been called Mater the Movie if it was going to be about Mater.

Thanks for making a list. It’s hard for me to remember the order of 26 movies to make a comment.
lightyear is so bad
Coco is my favorite Pixar movie too. I mean I LOVE most of their work, but Coco was the first to make me cry, and the twist that Hector was Miguel’s grandfather, and Ernesto was a fraud that MURDERED Hector absolutely shocked me. Frankly if still blows my mind that Pixar got away with showing a poisoning homicide lol
Coco is the most I have cried with a movie EVER! When Miguel was singing to his grandma 😢
Hector was Miguel’s Great great Grandad
Saw it for the first time last year and fell in love with it. Truly delightful film!
My is luca
I have to go with toy story
I definitely agree that Finding Nemo is top tier Pixar. I remember seeing it as a kid in theaters with my parents. We laughed, we cried, it was full of genuine thrills and suspense. It's like a theme park in movie form!
Nemo was trash.
I wouldn't say nemo is the best but it still pretty good
Bishop Walter’s Let’s agree to disagree
@@liamvineyard2554 it is
I love Onward. It’s my brother and I’s story. We lost our father a few months after this movie came out, and I couldn’t stop crying while watching this movie when it released. I see myself as Barley trying to raise my little brother, while also knowing that I’ll never fill that void left by our father.
Rip your dad ❤
May your father rest in peace.
Out of all the major animation studios, I feel the most positive about Pixar. Even though they aren't pumping out masterpiece after masterpiece like in the 2000s, their films are still far more consistent in quality than any major animation studio.

@@marko9463 I actually liked it quite a bit on first viewing. But I rewatched it a few times and it just disappointed me. I like the action and Elastigirl's arc, but I found the twist villain to be boring and almost none of the humor landed.

Cars 3 slapped
Let’s be honest though a “bad” Pixar film is still better than the vast majority of other films that are considered bad. Even a bad Pixar film is well made in most regards. Every once in awhile they just falter in the storytelling.
True true
Yes outside of 2-3 movies I can rewatch any Pixar movie and have a good watch
This comment right here
I rewatch all of them except turning red. And even turning red isn't that bad just doesn't do it for me. Pixar has a high floor with these movies bc even the "worst" Pixar movies aren't bad
Cars 2 is the only one I have a really hard time watching.

Awesome ranking Sean great picks and great list enjoying the ranking great video buddy
Don't know if this was a recent change, but I like how you jump straight into your rankings right after your intro/bumper.
I feel like I’ve had a special connection with Finding Nemo all my life. I was 5 when I went to see this movie in the theater and it was my childhood comfort movie for years. I memorized all the scenes and got really invested in the journeys of Nemo and Marlin to find each other again. No matter how many times I watched it, the climax and reunion scene always hit me hard. It was the perfect film. The only other Pixar movies that I would describe as perfect or close to perfect are Wall-E, The Incredibles, and Toy Story 2. These movies were pure magic for me, and are easily my favorites of the Pixar catalogue to this day.
Great video as always! I have a suggestion, Time Stamps would be helpful.
I enjoyed this. Didn't expect Finding Nemo to be number one. It is the only movie in my life i could say I knew every single line of dialogue from beginning to end.
Pixar is probably the most amazing studio in the world. Their very worst movies are just a little below average, while their average movies are pretty great.
What's really unique about them, is how nobody can really agree which of their movies is the best. I've watched many of these tier lists, and nobody is even remotely similar (other than toy story 1-3 being ranked high. Everybody loves them). I think it's because they're usually built around a powerful emotional concept (grief, family, moving on, standing up for yourself, etc.) and some of us have had stronger personal experiences around these than others.
It's why someone like me who has struggled with depression and has lost loved ones, connects strongly with movies like Inside Out and Coco (my favorites) while others will love Ratatouille, Up, or Walle (also great). Watching them is too subjective of an experience for anybody to be able to agree on which is best.
On top of that, many of us watched some of these when we were young kids, and the nostalgia factor amplifies everything even more.
I like Cars 2 tbh and it should've been called Mater the movie if it was going to be about Mater.
Same cars 2 is really underrated. I really like the spy theme.
Mater
Coming to a theater near you in 2011
@@bigwinnerxxx5294 i do too but the world they are in makes no sense but if you ignore those stuff then it is cool
I just love Cars 2. It’s one of those movies where it’s so stupid it’s great, kinda like Good Burger or the Princess Bride.

I smell a toy story 4 disagreement lol I enjoyed the movie
@@austincarlson9270 I mainly disagree with how high he ranked Incredibles 2 and how low he ranked ratatouille. It shows how he values action more than actual story which I feel is a very Dad way of viewing things
@@aedanmannion yeah I see this in his reviews sometimes, I'm not sure if your familiar with the loki series he didn't like the 3rd episode which I had as my second favorite episode of the series, he said it was just a filler episode but I thought it was vital for the loki and sylvie bond
@@austincarlson9270 I watched Loki but not his review on it. I agree, Loki wasn’t necessarily action pact so I can see why he would dislike it because he values action a lot. However, I do look for character bonds and story and I also wasn’t a huge fan of Loki as a whole. I think it had a great mysterious set up that was jumbled and lost in the later episodes of the series. I enjoyed parts of the last episode but it felt like a lot of set up. Also Loki was not given enough time on his own and I think Sylvia should’ve been introduced later
@@aedanmannion they should have made the season longer imo, but regardless I was happy with the season given its runtime and how I can't find any way better to write it for the finale
I love Lightyear. Cool, heartfelt story, and great action. Pixar is still delivering all the goods.
The problem with lightyear is that it's too political. And don't think it's OK to be shown to children 😕.
@@josephzaa8038 I love the more adult vibe from Pixar and it makes people think about the message without feeling forced.
The message your referring to is not Disney's job. Especially when they brand their self as a kid friendly company

I think that’s an awesome ranking. It’s hard with ranking Pixar’s movies because they’ve made great movies for such a long time that depending on when someone was born they have a different ranking which is cool that peoples love for Pixar has spanned decades.
You know you've seen a lot of sean chandler videos when you can almost say exactly what he is about to say before the video and know all the clips and songs he is going to use lol.
YES SEAN!! I’ve been saying to people for years that Toy Story 3 is the perfect conclusion to the franchise while Toy Story 4 is the perfect epilogue for Woody, the main character of the series. Such an amazing movie.
Yeah the only thing i didn’t like was they made buzz dumb and it’s so weird like you can definitely feel it if you binged 1,2,3 and then went on to going to watch Toy Story 4
@@kaeaedwin7937 yeah, I also really hated that they made buzz look super dumb
@@kaeaedwin7937 It didn’t bother me much. The only thing that got to me was they focused less on the rest of Andy’s toys aside from Woody, but I still loved the movie. Took me a few rewatches to get to that point though. Bingeing them together actually increased my appreciation for 4.

I'm not even a parent myself, and finding Nemo is my favorite. I'm sure when I become one in the future, it will undoubtedly still remain. Side note, I agree with practically all of this list with the exception of soul. I think that movie should have been a fair chunk higher up, and I have a soft spot for brave even when I know it's not that good compared to the rest of Pixar's list, but that's really it
I’m glad to see the original Cars at a pretty good spot on your list! The original one and the third are both two of my favorite Pixar movies. I honestly think those two both have some pretty good emotional moments and great humor with a lot of fun!
I actually did enjoy the first one a lot, I rewatched it recently but Im not bothering with the 3rd one because I really didn’t enjoy it in the cinema because I basically slept due to the boringness
Totally agree, the 1st cars movie was great (in my opinion)
I totally agree with your first pick! 'Finding Nemo' was a cute movie when I was a kid, but it hit me harder when I got older. It was about a parent learning to let go of his child in order for him to grow!

I believe Up is basically a perfect film not just the first ten minutes but the way Carl handles his grief and the way russell is used it’s a brilliant movie
For me toy story, Nemo, incredibles, and monsters Inc will always be my favorite 4 Pixar films. Place the others after that in what ever order you want. Those films and stories should be remembered like the classic Disney cartoons because they are in fact classic
Cars is not only my favorite pixar movie but is also up there in my top three favorite movies of all time. It just hits different for me, i was 2 years old when the movie came out and my parents took me to watch it in the cinema and it was sooo incredible, i instantly fell in love with it and it ignited my passion for motorsports, plus, in basically every photo of me from my childhood im wearing some sort of cars merch 😅
Good video!
I’m going to be honest, Pixar has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s always been my favorite film studio, and some of my favorite theater going experiences were going to see their movies. That’s what makes this ranking so hard because there are so many films of there’s that I love that I almost feel like I’m insulting them by having some films outside of my top 10, but this is my true honest ranking of Pixar’s films.

Ratatouille is the most underrated Pixar film ever. It’s one of Pixar’s best.
I wouldn’t say it’s underrated, I think is rightfully respected
For me it's the good dinosaur, the majority hate it and I find it to be an emotional well written story even though it's simple compared to many pixar movies. For me it's a 9/10.

Turning Red is hilarious, yes its not perfect but defo deserved a higher place
Monsters inc is one of my favourite animated movies!
Top 4 favorite pixar non sequels: Finding Nemo, Coco, Wall•E, and Luca.
Reasons:
So for Nemo, I grew up in a divorced family and while neither of my parents are dead I kinda understood what it felt like to be in something you would never you would be in; and how that changes you afterwards.
That said the reason Wall•E is another of my top favorite pixar movies is because as a kid I sort of related to him. Of course anyone can say that but in my case being on the Autism Spectrum I really did relate to him.
Now with Luca the reason as to why I consider it to be one of my top favorites is simple which the art style and the setting. Interesting fact if you ever go to places like Italy or Rome alot of the buildings are still the same as they were in the movies. I know this after taking a trip to Italy and Rome a few years ago.
And finally there's Coco...so this one is one of my favorites for a more personal reason. The movie came out on November 22, 2017 and at the time I had lost three family members: my uncle (my dad's brother in law) on my dad's side and both my grandfather and great grandmother on my mom's. All with in the span of a year and this movie to me felt like the hug that was desperately needed. Interestingly enough about several months ago I bought the soundtrack to this movie around the same time another death on my dad's side occurred which the death of my dad's older brother. This really does hold a special place in my heart.
Happy Father’s Day Sean !

I don't think I have ever disagreed with one if your lists as strongly as I do here. However, it goes to show what range Pixar has in connecting with it's audience. I won't rank everything but here's my top 3 and a few other Honorable mentions:
1 WALL-E
2 Soul
3 Coco
WALL-E is a perfect movie. Period. Soul hit me hard because I was going through an identity crisis at the time. I've seen Coco twice, once shortly after my mother passed away, and the second time shortly after my stepfather passed.
I prefer Monsters University over Inc. Again, I just connect with the story a lot more, I think the humor lands better, and the cast is more likable. Bug's Life is massively underrated. Great humor, great characters, and the story is more relevant now than it was when it came out. Lastly . . . Cars 2 is my favorite of the Cars movies. 3 is technically the best. But I really, really don't like the first one. I have and endless slew of questions about how the Cars world works and the movie isn't good enough to distracted from those questions. Lightning McQueen is incredibly unlikable. The story is one that I've seen countless times, and the only genuinely charming character is Mater. Now go over to 2, and within the first five minutes I realize that they are going in a direction so unbelievably stupid that I was able to shut off my brain, stop asking the existential questions, and just enjoy the ride. For the story they were telling, they did a good job. I like the fact that Mater is genuine and honest and upfront the entire film, despite it being a mistaken identity plot. In the end, he saves the day using knowledge that only he would have, playing to the strengths of a character that seemingly has none.
