That intro always reminds me of Enya's Orinoco Flow - very similar rhythm and chords. Kirstie wrote this with a couple of professional song writers. It's off the PTX The Lucky Ones album, and she had two songs on it - this one and Love Me When I Don't. The song was recorded during the lockdown, so none of them were together for the original audio recordings or the video - audio was recorded in their homes and mixed later, and each of them was recorded separately for the video.
She had more than two songs. Don't forget the audio only ones like it's different now, exit signs, and others (I think even one song with Mitch in the lead is from her, but I could be wrong) Only a little correction, your comment is great. Greetings from Germany
You couldn’t tell this was recorded away from each other. What a masterpiece. Makes sense why they appear on top of each other in the video (when they are all together)
@@margretrosenberg420yes, but as always with PTX members, the groundwork and lyrics is Kirstin. Than, external writers cooperate to get that even better. So, if anyone all PTX members are mentioned it's always the huge groundwork that's already done. And I think, they are all personally I volved in the whole process. Greetings from Germany
This is one of their's that been one of my faves. I love the video and the concept. Have you done Praying yet? It's audio only but it's powerful. Or Anchor...a Mitch generated one that's audio only.
Kirstie wrote this song with Kevin (they also co-wrote Please Santa Please). I think you’ll find that they tend to take the lead if it’s a song they personally wrote. A couple of other songs Kirstie wrote are Water, Naked and Break A Little.
If you want another one where Kirstin sings lead, try "Seasons of Love." This is probably their best rendition: th-cam.com/video/qO01TIVX3SM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6rvdSc5ziFJgkMXW

It does have an Enya flavor! Good catch!

Such a beautiful song and video. Kirstie wrote this, I’m pretty sure. ❤
Correct, in collaboration with Matthew Koma and Dan Book.

I have done prayer and yes I agree the visual and concept was amazing!
Not anchor so I can note this 😊
@@KaireemReactions , not The Prayer...but Praying ( a Keesha cover) it has only a lyric video, no official video.
@@Gwennedd oh okay I can note this down but it’s quicker to go through the Patreon 😊
@@KaireemReactions Sorry, I don't do Patreon. I can't afford it.
@@Gwennedd don’t a problem It’s down to your own discretion 😊. However it starts only from $3 a month
