Great video, man! Clear, quick, and concise! The only thing I'd recommend is to shout out the wrench sizes. It's not a huge deal, but it can save some people like me a couple of trips to the toolbox, haha
Thank you so much for this video. We found it REALLY helpful. Your explanation was clear and succinct. I'll second Power LD's comments about the negative feedback. I can't understand why anyone would give it a thumbs down! No annoying music either. As newbies to a quad bike, this was just what was needed. Subscribed and thanks again.
New subscriber! I've had my raptor for a while now, and want to work on it more. This is the 2nd helpful video I've come across. True, the parking brake had never worked, but we'll now lol. Thanks for your videos 👍.
Thanks for the information, I have an 03 warrior and it's the same setup. I don't know why you would get 5 thumbs down on this video, it's clear and well put together. Thanks again for the information, I'm new to Yamaha quads so I like to see what people have already done or modded themselves. And totally right about it's not worth riding in the winter without snow lol.
Too funny . I have an '05 Raptor 350 and the parking brake has never worked. I thought the cable was broken and I just never messed with it. I'm going to try this. Thanks.
I have a 2007 Raptor 700R. And was wanting to buy a rear caliper. But a listing i found says without parking brake. But I was wondering did they make a Raptor with out parking brake or u think the guy ment it doesn't come with the parking brake. FYI I asked the seller but he didn't know. Just don't want to buy the wrong part
I have a go kart and the back e brake pads are squeezed together without pulling it what should I do and I had people tell me to adjust it do I do the same thing u did here???
I put a Rekluse clutch in mine which means leaving it in gear does nothing, so having a parking brake is super useful for me. My bolt fell out of my parking brake on my 2019 after several adjustments were done already. A replacement bolt went all the way in and the parking brake still doesn't work. There is still plenty of pad left and the rear brakes work great otherwise. I dunno...
Do you think this would apply to the parking brake on an Arctic Cat 150? I bought a used 2018 the other day for my son and the brake doesn't work and I would like the parking brake in working order. I would assume most ATV parking brakes are about the same concept. I haven't really inspected it closely yet. Good stuff
Anyone know where I can get the bolt and the lock nut? Looks like the bolt is completely missing on my 2017 Yamaha raptor 700r... and I wondered why my parking brake wasn’t working..
Thanks for the video but warning for those with a raptor 350. I have an 05. Last week I adjusted the parking break using the cable tensioner that he mentioned you should hardly use. Well, it made it work for about a week. Since it was only a temporary fix I decided to take the advice in this video. When I loosened the locking nut, something inside the actual parking brake assembly lost tension. No matter what I did after that, the parking brake would not work at all. Luckily I had a parking brake block sitting around ready to install. I had already planned on removing it eventually because I've heard they are a nightmare to deal with. But, I sure will miss being able to warm my quad up by idling it on my slanted driveway unattended. Just a warning for those with 350s. This video does not apply despite the parts looking very similar.
Yes! Just what I needed. I just bought a raptor 700r 60th anniversary and the parking brake doesn't work!!! I used to have a raptor 90 and the parking brake didn't work too! lol
Are the brake pads suppose to be touching the brake disc? bcuz mine is always slightly touching the disc I can hear it rubbing when I push it in neutral
@@Motoposh okay thanks. n ty for replying so fast I subbed 👍 love the videos man wish I could ride on the streets here in fl legally lol passed a cop other day on a busy road and he didn't bother me lol thank God 🙏
Hey nice video keep up the good work Iv got a problem with my 660 I was rideing it and it started to make some noise from back of quad and if notices my 2 back wheels move left to right I'm not sure what's wrong with it
Trust me, i know, here in Switzerland you even have to be able to lock your Parking brake with a KEY if you want your quad to be road legal. Im not kidding, i have 3 keys, 1 for the quad, 1 for the fuelcap, 1 for the PARKING BRAKE :D

Thank you I have a 2013 SSR 170 and your video showed me exactly how to make the adjustment I needed.

Just fixed my parking break on my kfx 450r thank you so much.
I need to adjust my cable. My lever is a bit loose (caliper bolt has already been adjusted) the spring on my caliper has no tension on it either.

Bro thanks so much I always thaught it was broken and I was looking at a way to replace the part but this saved me
My adjustment bolt is stuck. Any suggestions? It doesn't really want to turn in either direction. Yes the lock nut is undone.

Iv got a problem with my 660 I was rideing it and it started to make some noise from back of quad and if notices my 2 back wheels move left to right I'm not sure what's wrong with it
Could be your main swingarm bearing.
Is it awkward that I have a raptor from 05 and my parking brake works perfectly fine...
Wait, there are people out there who use the parking brake?
Trust me, i know, here in Switzerland you even have to be able to lock your Parking brake with a KEY if you want your quad to be road legal.
Im not kidding, i have 3 keys, 1 for the quad, 1 for the fuelcap, 1 for the PARKING BRAKE :D
