There are no wrong choices when it comes to Angelina songs :) Really enjoyed your reaction, excellent observations. Angelina has said that "Singing is like breathing for me" and " "Music found me at an early age" Those two statements give a clue as to how completely she is in the moment when she sings. By the way, you are going to love "I Put A Spell On You". It is still my favorite Angelina song to watch reactions of.

As a voice teacher, I think you would really enjoy watching Angelina’s four performances for Norway’s Got Talent at age 7-8. There is a video that has all four on one tape or you can watch each one separately. Then jumping back to the present, you definitely need to watch the video that came out in February, My Funny Valentine. She would have just turned 16 in January 2022. Love your reactions and analyses.

The differences between Adele's original and Angelina's cover are subtle but present. When I listen to them back to back it becomes more apparent to me. The biggest difference to me is the timbre of the voice. To me Angelina's voice has more warmth and depth to it. Thanks!

I wholeheartedly endorse "My Funny Valentine (2022)" for a reaction. Not only is that pretty much the latest full release from Angelina, but it takes her back (back?!?) to her jazz roots. This kid was born to sing jazz, and many of us have watched her grow up and broaden her repertoire from jazz standards to pop covers. Every time I hear her sing jazz, there's something in me that says "Yes, this feels right." I'll be interested to hear your take on that. Thanks again for providing insight into the techniques and tools Angelina uses to work her magic.

    • @ryanjacob3338

A lot more controlled falsetto and breathy tones to show her that the emotional uncontrolled breathy vocal here she noted, may have in fact been a timely choice in this one. That one you suggest makes me wonder if it is the best vocal performance I've ever heard when I hear it. So does this one. The variety, control and seemless transitioning between techniques, along with an insanely beautiful voice is madness. Her more subtle lower register covers are more my jam. Like 'million years ago', 'stay' or 'born to die' along with many others around that time, but you get me, as much as those take me on a bit of an otherworldly journey, they aren't quite flexing the vocal gymnastics skills, control, power and talent like these two.

When Angelina really loves a piece of music, she sings it faithfully and only changes certain little things. Sometimes she hears what the song SHOULD sound like (or at least how she thinks it should sound). You'll see what I mean with the songs you mentioned. Angelina is the most interesting vocalist I've ever encountered. She fascinates me. I love watching her sing. And her voice sometimes gives me physical 'shivers'. Not many singers have done that and no child ever has and she's been doing it since she was 7. 😎

The reason they still take it fairly slowly is that she is only 16 years old - This in agreement with Republic Record, the family, and Angelina herself. She is now working on her record. Angelina has already sung in many countries, and all important people in the music industry know who she is. They only need to press the button when the time is right for the next step. No point in "burning out" a 16 year old jewel of a singer and I think many people forget how young she really is since she is so mature for her age!
Angelina’s videos have received over 1 billion views on TH-cam and almost 2,5 billion on facebook.

We don't have to worry about her she is grounded and very well taken care of. She like a filly at Run For The Roses at the gate ready to go, and she will be the triple crown winner. AJ is working some of the most talented Artist is LA:
AJ is in a lane of her own that no one is the universe can enter. AJ epitomizes the word ARTIST. With the type attributes I just mention AJ will be popular to all ages throughout her career because she in composes the versatility to perform any, and all genres. AJ is working with talent like Monte Lipman, head of Republic Records, and Bernard “Harv” Harvey is an American music producer, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California that has produced highly acclaimed work for major recording artists such as Justin Bieber, Sevyn Streeter, Juke Ross, Cherish, Omarion, Gucci Mane and Eminem. Harv was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He was introduced to the musical arts at the young age of nine and began playing the bass by age twelve. Harv attended J.C. Harmon High School where his love for music elevated joining the marching band, jazz band and playing different types of music all around the city. Throughout his life he was taught to play the piano, guitar, drums, trombone, and even the tuba. Yet, Harv is best known for his mastery of the bass. In 2003, Harv’s exceptional talent on the bass became recognized on a merit-based level and landed him a scholarship at Alabama State University where he obtained a degree in Music Technology. He began playing in church and local bands ultimately sharpening his musical ear, which led him to expanding his interest in production. With music flowing in his blood he was enticed with the aspects of production and decided to capitalize on his talents in Atlanta, Georgia working day in and day out on compositions. As Harv began making connections in Atlanta in 2007, he quickly established a friendship with Grammy-winning producer Shondrae Bangladesh Crawford. Harv played bass guitar on a few major placements produced by his friend Bangladesh such as “Lemonade” by Gucci and “A Kiss” by Eminem. In 2010, Harv hit the road playing the bass for Scooter Braun’s artist, Justin Bieber. After catching wind that Harv also produced music, Scooter expressed his interest in signing Harv as a producer to publishing company Sheba Publishing. Harv signed his first publishing deal with Sheba and Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) in 2011 and is continually building his catalog and growing his production company. Harv produced 3 songs on Justin Biebers new album “Changes”. “Available”, “At Least For Now” & “Forever” ft Post Malone and Clever.
They are now going full speed ahead.

Angelina Jordan is here to inspire us to be the best we can, to appreciate the beauty of life and music. It warms my heart that Angelina's goal is to bring peace and love to the world through her music. I want to pay it forward, and support and promote her so that she will be able to use her platform to sing and heal. You can play an important role!
Today, the greatest challenge to that goal and growing your channel is copyright risk. Since many reactors provide only minimal artist support, some record labels have considered discouraging fans from patronizing these channels. As fans and advocates, we recommend addressing management's concerns by promoting your artists with more than just a video link. We suggest educating your viewers since most don't know how to support you or the artists! Verbally encourage them to like, comment, and subscribe to both yours and the artists' videos and channels, with links you provide. This will benefit both of you.
Nearly 200 reaction channels now thrive from implementing these guidelines. Although there are no guarantees, we hope that by satisfying record label management, you will play a part in the potential relaxation of copyright restrictions. It will also help your channel and Angelina's career.

Good reaction to Angelina, a lot of reactors seem to think that she can do no wrong, and I don’t know why she is a human being, maybe because they think they can get more views that way. The reactors that have gotten over a million views reacting to one of Angelina’s songs have all been very honest, I believe the biggest way to harm Angelina is to fake a reaction, yes she is an exceptional singer, and once her voice has fully matured, the sky is the limit. I know of no other singer that the phrase “ born to sing” fits any better. Singing has been her life’s passion from a very young age, her work ethic on her craft is amazing, after winning Norway’s got talent what this girl accomplished in 4 short years is astounding: sang at the Noble Peace Prize, had a private concert for the Prime Minister and other dignitaries of Norway, opened for Nora Jones (crowd of 35,000 people), sang at Allan Walker’s homecoming after a world tour, helped raise millions for different charities and causes all over the world, sang for the prime minister of Japan, appeared in in a movie, sang for a Volvo commercial, appeared on numerous TV shows in America, Japan, Berlin, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Korea and other countries. She was the opening act for Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration in London , she even sang for the Prince of her country, also sang for former president Obama. This and much more was done between the ages of 8 and 12 during summer vacations from school. She also fit in concerts in Norway. Not surprisingly she’s amassed over 1 Billion views on TH-cam and 2 1/2 billion views on Facebook. Her grandmother Mery Zamani aka Mosarz is a world renowned poet and artist, a child prodigy herself, and instilled in Angelina two things the love of Jazz and her humanitarianism, Mery has for years been doing art exhibits all over the world for different charities and causes.

Excellent choices for your next reactions!
The way today you were attempting to speak about the feelings she brings up .. yup .. I know how that is .. I've been following Angelina since 2014 and the past 3 years I've read thousands of reactions from reactors themselves but from all people really. Never have I experienced so many men cry when someone sings .. and admit it. She embodies a song so totally .. and truly engages her heart so the feelings are the thing.
I have never seen or heard one note from her that is not woven into the truth of the song. No note put on to impress .. no part sang with ego or pride or anything that is not deeply part of the full experience of the song. She respects all artists and does a cover with utmost care and love .. like a profound thank you. She is a wonder. The very first time I saw her sing when she was seven or eight I was so struck by her truth .. her being .. so clearly woven into the music and the story. I looked out for her always .. the little white dresses .. the flowers in her hair always .. the bare feet .. she had my heart completely and I longed .. with hunger .. to hear her again. She is extra-ordinary. (hyphen intended)
Welcome to the Angelina Rabbit Hole .. it is a special place.

Absolutely loved your reaction. We know that Angelina began arranging the music and lyrics of her performance since she first appeared on stage at 7 years old. Here are a couple of songs, amongst 160+ covers and 5 originals that you should put in your que.
The first is Angelina's cover of "Stay" (cover of Rhianna's performance ft. Mikki Ekko). I've seen another reaction channel approach this song by playing Rhianna's performance first, followed by Angelina's cover of Rhianna. Angelina's performance appears to be an impromptu jamming session with guitarist and friend, Ivan Mendez. I believe Rhianna is a brilliant singer, but 12 year old Angelina's cover is so vocally rich and organic that she makes "Stay " her own creation. She sings it like the song is her own, and leaves us wanting to hear more from this young girl. So, reaction number 1 is a combo Rhianna then Angelina performance of "Stay" (all links below). It may make your reaction longer than normal, but I assure you it's worth the time invested. We can sing along with Rhianna's performance but when Angelina comes on the radio, all we can do is just listen to and be drawn in by her voice.
The second song features 12 year old Angelina Jordan performing her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die". This was also a casual recording made at home. Something I find amazing is that Angelina jumps right into singing a piece, even when she doesn't know all the lyrics. She often use a smartphone or iPad to refresh herself on what's next, and then effortlessly sing in such a way that it's platinum from the word go. She takes on Lana Del Rey's song and again, makes it her own (Lana was 27 when she first performed the song).
The final song I recommend you react to is actually one of the top 2 performances that lead people into the rabbit hole of Angelina Jordan; the first being "Bohemian Rhapsody". At 9 years and 2 months old, Angelina arranged and performed a black and white studio cover of the jazz classic "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins (1956). Many consider Angelina's black and white studio performance a 'masterpiece cover' of Jay's original song. There are 195 versions of the song including such greats as: Nina Simone; Manfred Man; Pete Townshend; John Fogerty; Annie Lennox; and many more. So the question is, How does Angelina Jordan come closer to the original than the other 194 performers?
Angelina went back to the source, Screamin' Jay Hawkins himself. She arranged the music and lyrics to honor Jay's work as close as possible, albeit by a 9 year old girl. The notes she scribbles down at the beginning of the video are the lyrics you can see her referring to during the performance. The candle she holds before starting to sing has a picture of Jay on it, again, honoring the song's originator. If you haven't seen Jay's performance, I gave a link to him performing on The Arsenio Hall Show. I recommend listening to Jay's performance 'after' your react to Angelina, even if you do it on your own time. After Jay, I jumped right back to Angelina's cover, picking out how she adapted Jay's intent for the song.
Vocal coaches can point out what Angelina's doing with her voice and body, but have no clue as to how this little 9 year old girl can control her body to produce the sound she wants. "I Put a Spell on You" is a 'must see' performance for those following Angelina. I stress that you watch the black and white studio performance listed below. She has performed the song since this age, but she has never replicated the vocal performance she gave here. We're always interested in hearing vocal coaches' thoughts on why this is. Regardless, you won't be sorry to make this amazing performance your next reaction. If I'm wrong, dinner's on me when you're in the neighborhood.
Note: All of the links for Angelina's covers come from her TH-cam channel. Rhianna's performance comes from her channel.

You really need to do “Fly Me to the Moon” when she is in rehearsal with the with the London Symphony strings and big band. She is performing for Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration at his request to open the concert. She was 12 at the time and the arrangement was the one that Jones did for Frank Sinatra and the Count Basie Band. I think her performance was better than Sinatra ever thought about doing ( and I am a Sinatra fan).

Some things that are not usually mentioned. There is footage of her with republic records and they are telling her that of all the people they worked with only a few have needed only one take and she was one of them. Some of her brilliant early covers where she is sitting with Ivan the guitarist you see her glancing to one side. I was fascinated to learn from an interview with Ivan how casual these sessions were. They were not practised. They would eat hang about with her family and when she felt like it they would go and discuss songs. If they both had heard it they would try it. Or they would listen to it then try it. These are often first takes she is glancing to the side for the lyrics that she does not know. She gets all that feeling and passion first try on a song she has not really practised. I can only think that she has a very sensitive empathetic reaction to music.
This allows a 10 year old for instance talk about the darker more destructive side of love, of longing,, of heartache. Please listen to I'm Holding Out For You( age 10,sung as a demo for babby fuzz)

You may want to consider doing a back-to-back reaction to BOTH versions of “My Funny Valentine”. Her earlier version is beautiful and SO sweet. The recent version (released this past Valentine’s Day) shows the remarkable maturity of her voice in only a few short years.

Great reaction & love your comments to (15) Angie. You'll notice over time Angie has so
many talents & skills. Exp: she'll use her AP skill when needed, or her back phrasing when
she needs it etc etc. When you do "My funny Valentine' please do a double reaction. For
Angie arranged this song 2 different ways. Here's the links. “My Funny Valentine” from musical Babes in arms- 2/14/16 th-cam.com/video/sZ25H4a2gPI/w-d-xo.html She’s 10 with no mic &
just sitting on chair singing the
full version for Mery her grandma who’s filming her.
Angie does a great interpretation of this difficult song to interpret from 1937 musical
“Babe in arms” (warning Cute factor at the end)
“My funny valentine” covered by Ella & Sinatra th-cam.com/video/ETGLbsGDAI0/w-d-xo.html
2-14-22 Angie’s 16. She arranged this standard Jazz version instead of doing the full version this time. Angie filmed this at the Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. It matches the song & her timeless voice.
(also you'l probably do this one 2, for it is amazing.
Angie hits an F5 but with distortion & even customizes her laryngeal vibrato to a 3 semi tone. etc etc. She also did the arrangement also. ETC ETC)

WOW, what an informative and entertaining review!! She released an IG version of this 6 hours after Adele released it. So she must have felt a real connection to the song and Angelina adores Adele with 7 or 8 covers. When she sang "I was just a child", it sounds funny since she was only 15 on this but remember that Angelina has been on stage since 7 years old touring and singing on stages in Europe, Asia and America. She has had a camera in her face constantly, spent a ridiculous amount of time rehearsing, singing, doing interviews and by now has had a career that would fill many artists lifetime achievements. So when she sings "I was just a child" it probably seems like decades ago to her and when she sings "Go easy on me" she probably feels a lot of pressure since she signed with Republic Records at 14 with high expectations from everyone including RR, her fans and herself.
My favorite video is Angelina at 10 years old on stage with a great band performing the classic "FEELING GOOD". It's an amazing performance by anyone let alone a 10 year old.
    Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/p8kAL-sGJx8/w-d-xo.html

Interesting points that you made in this reaction. I think my takeaway is that Angelina is doing some rather sophisticated things with this song. Yes, I think it was around 48 hours after Angelina's TicTok version and Adele's release. Still, quite a feat to get this filmed and edited in that time frame - That's without regard to the music production. I realized that Angelina has a well-oiled machine (Republic Records and Assoc.) working with her and that is going to be so valuable going forward.

Because she is a true jazz singer, whereas Adele is not, Angelina is able to
bring more penetrating passion whenever she sings a cover of Adele's long
list of heartfelt ballads. When you hear what sounds like sections of the song
in Adele's voice, it is because Angelina is a 'vocal chameleon'. Whereas the
lizard can instantaneously adjust its outer body colors to fit in with all the colors
of its present surroundings, Angelina does it vocally. This has been evident ever
since she first appeared on Norway's Got Talent and sang Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy
Sunday'. Both of their versions sound as if the same singer is doing them. Angelina
has learned her 'breathy', 'whisper-like' releases from Billie Holiday and the 'slurring'
of words and mid-sentence key changes Amy Winehouse was known for. Have never
experienced another singer who was able to do something as intricately complex as
this. Don't have to take a layman's words for this, but do listen to vocal coach Andreas
Grussel 'breakdown' all the intricacies of both artists singing this song. His You Tube
video is titled - 'Is this Better Than Adele ?' explains it far better than I can.

When she was maybe 10 an interviewer asked her what singing was like for her and she said something like, "It endless, it's amazing." She was clearly struggling for words. Notice how often she closes her eyes, something she does a lot. She is really just in the song. You might want to look at her last original tune, 7th Heaven. Her cover of I'd Rather Go Blind is fun, experimental. Or her magnificent cover of Rihanna's Stay (at 12).

Yes, that was Angelina's Grandmother at the beginning, Meri Zamani, a child prodigy herself as an artist and poet. She was the one that introduced Angelina to Jazz, and recently had a major health problem. Angelina is VERY close to her. I read an article that quoted Angelina as saying "I felt a connection to this song as soon as I heard it", which could be how she was able to post a TikTok video of it just 6 hours after Adele released it, and this video 11 days later. Some have suggested that while Adele was singing of her marriage and then divorce, Angelina is actually singing about her childhood. Whether any of this is true or not, it seems very possible. As for which video to do next, everyone has their favorites, but one of the most requested is her black and white tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins 1956 original "I Put A Spell On You", at 9 years old, with nearly 10 million views. th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html

While both Adele & Angelina have beautiful voices, IMHO Angelina's cover includes something that Adele's original lacks - a deep emotional connection that allows us to strongly FEEL Angelina's music as well. I strongly believe that Angelina has the GOD given gifs of not only a beautiful voice, but also the ability to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls. Angelina never rearranges music just to be different. Rather she interprets the meaning of the song, the lyrics, in a way which she believes heightens the emotional feeling of the song to the listener. She incorporates changes in tempo and puts emphasis on particular phrasing and, thus, she Angelina-izes the song and her version can stand alone.
It's remarkable and where the genius comes from is she finds the message of love in the song (every song) and molds it in a way that regardless of the particular story line of the song she wants the listener to hear and experience love. That's what she does.
To me she is a Messenger of Love and I always get the feeling she is singing FOR US .

Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that a new video shows Angelina singing to legendary drummer Johnathan Moffett. Jonathan Phillip "Sugarfoot" Moffett (born November 17, 1954) is an American drummer, songwriter and producer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Beginning in 1979, Moffett collaborated with the Jackson family, particularly Michael Jackson, over the course of 30 years. More recently, he has worked with other notable artists and producers such as Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones and many others. He was bestowed the moniker of "Sugarfoot" by Michael Jackson due to becoming well known for his frequent use of advanced techniques on the foot pedals.
He met Angelina at Republic Records and she sang for him I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/vaElvR9s5Ao/w-d-xo.html

"I Put a Spell On You" is a very popular suggestion for new Angelina reactors, as Gary Rogers (below) submits in his comment and has "shock" value that fans enjoy watching on the faces of those who go into it with lowered expectations (due to her young age). "My Funny Valentine is her most recent of the 3 (released Feb 14, 2022) and could be used by voice coaches for a weeks-long class. And "Billie Jean" shows how very creative she is by taking such an iconic song and riveting your attention on the story.

I would experience The Show Must Go On by AJ. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, an artist herself, has been a strong influence on her life. “She is my truly mentor,” says Jordan. Jordan published a book illustrated by her grandmother, when she was 9, and they create art together regularly. Her mom, who she says has always supported her dream, and her uncle, with her best interest at heart, are also there to advise her. “Without their guidance and the belief in knowing what I wanted, I would not have made it through some of the tougher times in my career so far,” she adds.

This is so strange: I like Adele for the singer/performer and songwriter she is. Also nice how she embraces her audience and is honest and funny in interviews. Felt sorry for her weight-, voice- and relation struggles. Only thing is that it felt that her music is not completly my taste. But than Angelina sings her songs and suddenly they are so much more interesting and captivating! Even when the lyrics are about life experiences Angelina can't have had so deep! (except maybe of losing people, like her grandfathers)
It means that beside singing beautiful she takes a songtext like an actress, who has to play a roll, for instance in another era! She just understands how to connect to emotions! And she does it with great sense of taste!
