This is great review. 👍. Wanted to request you something different. Lot of people like me are interested in knowing about the "Renault Bigster". The bigger version of Renault Duster. Do you have any plans to cover that product? Expected launch ? I think Duster is truly a very good SUV and very successful and we have high hopes for Renault bigster for obvious reasons.
It will disrupt the market with class leading mileage. The price would make a good difference. If price is right and aggressive, then it's a win-win situation for Maruti Suzuki

imo it will not. For a car of this segment it is very under powered. Fully loaded with passengers and luggage it will struggle on highways. Why i wud give 15 lac plus (assuming the price for a variant with all features) for such car. I will personally opt for car which has atleast 140 bhp power. N honestly one who puts 15 lacs plus in car doesn't really care abt fuel prices. That's a fact. And ground reality. enthusiast will never buy this car as it is no fun on highway.

It's good to see 5 gears since every recently launched car has 6 gears. 6 gear changes on city roads is a headache, because there are 6 gears, 3 gear shifts are required when stopping/driving in traffic, where 2 shifts are sufficient.

6 gears is more beneficial for engine & fuel efficiency specially at highways where engine will run at comparatively low RPM at high speeds. However in city drive, there might not be much of a difference.

Rachit, are you sure you found the headroom fine in the rear? I am 5'8" and when i sat in the rear of the HyRyder, i was disappointed with the poor headroom. Is Vitara's dimensions different than that of the HyRyder? Cabin space is what i found most dismal inside HyRyder with cars like Jazz and Baleno appearing far more roomier.

yes, given ho prices are going up it should be good. Consider extra power without turbo petrol or bigger size engine that would have added lot of tax. There are lot of calculations done by Toyota and MS to get the price point right.

Both the Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Hyryder gives really premium look in exterior but what i don't like both the vehicles have very ordinary center console, the center console could be made more higher or taller and give a premium look, centre console is no 1 thing to make the vehicles interior premium both the vehicles failed in that

Looks and all is amazing but 113 bhp for 1.5 litre engine and car of this size seems less also with compromise on boot space. if car had two options, 1.5 litre turbo for power enthusiasts with ample boot space and strong hybrid for mileage enthusiasts… it would have been great.
113 bhp is peak torque. Are you going to use vehicle at full accelerator? Nope. The motor of hybrid version will provide better acceleration even at low speed.
