I really envy you. I've watched almost all your videos in the past couple weeks. I would love to do what you do. I'm 52 and married, so my wife isn't totally on board with a full time nomad lifestyle. We have taken one big driving trip. We live in Ohio and drive to Seattle. Stopping in the Badlands, Black Hills, Tetons, and Yellowstone. On the way back swung down through Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. Best trip I've ever taken. Planning an East coast trip this summer, Ohio to Maine and back. Anyway...In the mean time I'll just live vicariously through you. LOL Keep up the good work and Keep Following Your Dreams.
I said it before & I will say it again. Hands down this is my favorite youtube channel. The internet is so full of stressful bullcrap & political bickering. I click on one of your videos and all that stuff is wiped away. Your videos are like a relaxing breath of fresh air. Thank you Brian. Hope to see you around beautiful Gettysburg Pennsylvania some day soon!
BTW and FYI: If for some reason you find yourself outta/low on gas in Death Valley and the stations are closed the Rangers can unlock the pumps and pump gas for you.
And that rock formation looked perfect to relax on too. I need fewer people around too. Don't like places that are too crowded. Yes, the death valley campground did not look as nice... too many people, and in a parking lot. Cool way to "bake" a pizza on your stove top!!!
Looks like peaceful fun. California, has good-places to visit. Spending winter in warmer-places like Arizona sounds appealing. I'm all outdoors and I live in, Utah. A 4x4 van would make a great back-country camping outfit. Fishing and camping is my passion. My wife, who wants to keep working after I retire, says that she doesn't mind me going off for extended-trips. A trip to Alaska keeps popping into my thoughts. I retire in June :)
Got excited for a minute, thinking this was a new video, your subs still wondering about your mixed message with last posting, wondering if it's your kind of sense of humor, end of the road. This video finds you so happy, in your element, whistling, sharing a spot with Jamie. Life is good Brian.
Godspeed to you...you've got me hooked....I've binge watched early videos....& wake up looking for the next episode 👍👍👍 thank you for bringing us alongside of you for the ride... i am living vicariously through you until I can make my escape like you👊
When you first arrived at this location in your last vid, I thought the same thing, I'd much rather camp out in the middle of nowhere (comfortably), versus city beach camping...definitely seems that beach camping is way more stressful (which is sad); finding a decent area, getting hassled to move, worrying about tweakers messing with your rig, just the overall headache of dealing with the interferences that attempt to dampen van life. I'm sure northern Cali beach camping is more apt to be rural on more occasions...ie; above Mendocino & Big Sur...that area is so beautiful...a different flavor of California. I really enjoyed this vid. Weather although chilly looked beautiful! We're getting really windy/wet weather here in SD, so your current location is winning.
I'll stop complaining when gas is over $2.00 here in Texas. :) I've stayed in Death Valley a couple of times. The place I stayed last time, they had construction going on all night/day so it was anything but peaceful.. We ended up leaving early. It sure is pretty there though! Man that pizza!!! Yum!!!
ive been loving watching your dream coming true. thanks for allowing me to come along for the ride. by the way...THOSE SUNGLASSES ARE YOOOOO.DOOOOOOD!!!!
+Green's a Cruiz'n Oh I've heard it all...some don't like my sunglasses, I move my head to much when I talk, TH-cam isn't a real job, and so on. I find it entertaining! Glad you enjoy the videos and can overlook my many faults. 😊👍✌
Adventure man - yeah there are just sad sad people with self loathing lives. Wishing they could do what you do. But never will do anything meaningful in life. Just sit in the dark in their underwear. Criticizing people out there really LIVING.
Lebekuchen you'd be amazed at how well your body heat can warm up a small enclosure like his van! If you had a small room that was van sized, in your house, it would stay warm all the time by you just hanging out in it :)
Brian, I love to cook like you do. I bought a Camp Chef stove/oven for my van, I love it, oven cooks very even, 2 burner stove on top. I got mine on sale @ Home Depot for $165, regularly $210. I highly recommend it!! I think you would love it too. I use it on a picnic table or a folding table I carry with me. Oven will cook very even with a 9"x13" pan ! I love my biscuits and brownies! As always, great video, Peace
1. Mmmm Boboli bread is so good, but what you did to it ! ! ! YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM . 2. Death Valley national park is one of those where you can disperse primitive camp in most (not all) areas there are rules of course but still lots of open space to search. 3. Thanks again for sharing your adventure. :-)
Absolutely fantastic scenery and your video on such the way of life. Camping is perhaps the best choice. I did used to do that for years in the wild when my kids were younger. Later on I started visiting the wild myself alone more and more. I succeeded to film quite a lot of wildlife over the time. I am sorry for in your country you have to pay these taxes you mentioned ... no more free country means no more freedom. It almost becomes the same all over the world ... but I do not believe it will go any further that way. Thanks for sharing. Well done. Paul
It appears in more way than one you two did good heading inland as opposed to riding the coast. Greater content from usual. At least for me, go figure.
I've been watching your channel a long time but this is my first comment. You are an inspiration and I hope to encounter you out on the road someday in my Storm Chaser!
I agree with you, Brian. Though I grew up in Philadelphia, I HATE cities, and I avoid them like the plague! Give me the mountains and the wide-open spaces. After seeing that RV ghetto that they call a campground in Death Valley, I would have headed back to the mountains - even if it was colder up there.
you are really enjoying life! I used your idea of the grill basket(I have the same one and same coleman one burner) camping last fall. It's perfect for the cast iron not getting too hot and made perfect pancakes! I am taking my van to Grayton Beach State Park in Florida in May. Can't wait. I wonder if you are using a GoPro for your videos? I also have a channel shows my van. Great travels. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent footage! Thank you Brian 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Seriously Brian, I love waking up to your vids on a Monday morning! Makes my day start off very peaceful! Keep continuing the adventure, stay safe!
Trevor Blake Thank you 😁

Brian Thank You for sharing your life...
Bruh, I just sat through a 3 minute ad. I really love your channel. LOL!
+Shemaj Ragin Thank you very much, those ads are how I get paid 😁👍✌
That's strange. I can hit the "skip ad" button after 5 seconds.
+Cecilia Petrowsky it's not strange, she did me a favor by watching the whole ad, I don't get paid if you skip the ad 😀👍✌

My favorite: cooking, eating, sipping java, and the scenery.
This land is my land, this land is your land....

great video Brian. I finally got me the perfect van and am starting to get it ready for the road I'll have some videos of it coming up on my channel.
Great video Brian..my favorite TH-cam channel ! And after having met you at the RTR..pleasantly suprised that you're just as genuine in person.
BTW and FYI:
If for some reason you find yourself outta/low on gas in Death Valley and the stations are closed the Rangers can unlock the pumps and pump gas for you.
What a great idea. Would have never thought of turning the grill basket over. Genius!
Great videos.I really enjoy your cooking
Love the tone of voice at 5:30 when you say ".... look at all those people"! Very expressive!
Hey Brian, I got my sticker today. Thank you so much. Love it!
Your vids are an awesome blend of mellow and informative. Gives a true picture of the daily grind involved in being a nomad
thanks Brian!I wish I was bird fly everywhere. see all the beautiful blue sky clean air.God loves us!
You are the wonder cook. I love your kitchen episodes. I look forward to them. Thank you for your efforts.
Epic video as usual, who agrees that Brian is an inspiration?!

I was wondering the same thing.
I don't like the sunglasses but still gives thumbs up. I try to be reasonable (unlike your sunglasses....)
What does a thumbs down accomplish? Less pay?

Wow Brian!!! That gas is outrageous!! Here in Rhode Island it has been around $2.15-$2.25 for the last two years.
Thank you
Lovely ! :-)
cast iron pans are way better than those spensive pans collections lol is amazing the things you can do with thwm
I don't eat pizza that often but that made me crave pizza
love your vids.

Nothing like sun-baking early in the morning in the winter.
$15 to stay in a gravel lot.... damn.

Another great video Brian! Loved the pizza....:) Gas is outrageous in Calif....:( Here in Mo. it's $2.00.
awesome video, makes me want to start cooking my own pizza, except I don't like mushrooms, my wife does.
Don't know if you are still in DV but you can wild camp 2 miles off any dirt road ,example road to Echo Canyon passed Furnace Creek.
Here in central GA this morning I paid 1.939 per gallon after .10c off with Kroger Plus card.
The DV campground looked like a parking lot.
