Dave, dude, this was a masterful repair and customization. I was excited just to see it looking clean and complete. You took it to a vastly different level with the wiper repair and LED additions. Everything is so precise and professional looking. The lights duplicate the effect real vehicles create with their own lights on. It will photograph brilliantly. Thank you for sharing this total EPICNESS!🙏
Action Force had really cool vehicles, remember standing in the toy shop looking at all the vehicle box art. The Marvel comic was one of my favourites as a kid.
Cool looking toy, restored to a quality standard! And as for those lights.. Non-permanent or not, I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to remove them! They look brilliant!
The Snow Cat was my FIRST GI Joe vehicle back then. So this is a very special thing to me. Really well done. I may try the light upgrade, cause that turned out really nice! Great fix for the wiper blade too. The stickers are top notch. I use the same printer to make my vinyl decals. Except I can't print white. My printer is about $20,000. The one that reprolables uses is the next version up and it runs about $30,000. Very expensive machines, but you can make outstanding vinyl decals with them. I have been for over 20 years.
I’m really impressed with the additional light modifications you made. It’s almost as if the toy was originally designed to have these working LED lights. I would’ve been extremely happy with a complete Snow Cat with all of its accessories and stickers but now this toy has become something far more amazing. You always do a fantastic job on your restorations and sometimes a little extra love and ingenuity can make a great toy that much better! As always, thank you so much for sharing and I always look forward to seeing another one of your videos. Cheers!
Amazing, I love the lights! It’s got me thinking about customising some of my childhood GI Joe vehicles with lights, too. Thanks for the great idea and wonderful channel!
Your work is so brilliant, that I firmly believe that one of these days, you will end up bringing one of your Action Mans to life! The problem is, you'll have to get a talking cricket to take care of him... And I bet finding one of those won't be easy.
If you ever wanted to make some extra money you could make and sell these led kits for the Snowcat and sell them online, the GI Joe customizing groups would buy these up, I know I'd buy a couple.👍 Amazing job in the repair/restore and custom work.😎
Though I played with Joe's in my childhood, I am not a Joe collector currently so I wasn't all that excited about this. However, seeing it all lit up was well worth the watch. It's a great toy as is but you improved it tremendously. If any toy ever screamed "I want lighting" it would be this one.
Its true that the fix may not look like the original but honestly I think it looks better. Gives an illusion of hiding the mechanical components and the white is a good contrast to the clear. Excellent work sir. Side note: I picked up the annual for Fusion with your articles in it. Thanks for turning me onto an excellent read.
Wao! My husband is a G. I. Joe and fan collector ( also, Six Million Dollar Man, Star Wars, etc) and always watch your videos. This one was impressive! We love the results. Best wishes from Puerto Rico at the Caribbean!
Love all you GI Joe work! Great job on this Snowcat! Thank you for sharing. You may already know but just in case. YoJoe is no longer run by the original creators. They are working to reproduce all their work on 3D Joe’s. Just wanted to share for future reference. Some stuff is already disappearing from yojoe.
Wow! The end result is just amazing. I thought the wiper bracket was a lost cause but once again you’ve proved that anything can be fixed! The lights are incredible; comparing this with your earlier customs like the snowspeeder lights it seems like your skills and techniques are getting better all the time. Great job!!
Awesome work! Great inspiration! I got myself a Snowcat in the mail today. Sadly one front wheel axle was broke, so I need to construct a new axle. Will probably drill in a metal rod and glue it.
Great job with the Snowcat Dave. I love it, and wonder if I can make something similar to it, and make it remote control. :) I am definitely thinking about it. :)
Great job with the wiper clip, David! With the steering wheel, I guess you could instead of painting it with a marker, lightly melt the now rough part it with a heat gun or even a lighter.
Dave, all of your hard work and ingenuity certainly paid off big time, with this excellent restoration / modification of this vintage G.I. Joe Snow Cat. The non permanent / intrusive addition of the lighting system is an incredible idea, that really does improve the Snow Cat's appearance. Hasbro really should follow your lead and add such lighting to their modern G.I. Joe vehicles.
Awesome restoration Dave! The wiper clip was brilliant, but then the lights just bring it to a whole new level 😎👍🏼 It always seemed to me that the ‘Cat should have had lights, but Hasbro cheaped out at the last minute 😅
LOL. Pretty much the reaction I had too. Paused the vid. Commented on the (sublime) wiper clip fix... then had to come back to comment again on the LED mod. 🤣
The next time you modify some lego piece's and they discolor try a heat gun on it also works on lite scratches even on clear plastic. also nice job on the lights they look great.
Re: the Lego Axle Pin, you can get it in black (43093) though they are hard to come by and so are pricey (approx £6 each). Love the addition of the lighting.
You rarely improve toys man, but when you do, you do an excelent job and as you say: Why wasn't this a feature in the original? A great video as always.
Hi Dave... Just a heads up to say the Lego pin does come in black but is pretty rare as it only appeared in 2 sets in the 80s, because of this it is usually a couple of pounds for one! You'll probably never need one... but just in case you do I thought I'd mention it.
Not sure what the thinking was other than the wiper being more moveable that way, otherwise putting a hole through the windscreen to make a little arm just seems to be asking for a break. Your solution looks a lot better, more like military grade equipment. ;)
Amazing work. For a future video, can you make a mod to the buzzsaw hordak from motu origins where you can make his eyes light up red. You can probably put the battery inside his chest where his buzzsaw resided in.
The reason ToyHax is sending out labels that read ReproLabels is because that was their original name, back when they ONLY did Transformers decals. Since they expanded into multiple brands they decided to change their name.
Sorry gotta ask this, never seen so much restoration videos, have used some tips too! But just found my Ljn Tiamat, wings broken, no biggie was able to glue those parts back together. Guessing I am the only one with both legs broken off, and not to sure how to fix it. Would love some insight of your knowledge. Thanks
Just terrific! An awesome job on the lights, and I love your windshield wipers repair! I do have a general question for you about how you make your videos. When you do the commentary, do you do that while you're working on the fixes and repairs, or do you dub it in later on? I have always assumed that you did commentary as you're working along, but I just wanted to ask about that! Keep up the great content! You're very much appreciated!
I film and talk as I go. No voice overs added. I prefer it that way, you get to hear my thinking as it goes along. Which is why I sometimes repeat myself 😂
Every time you put lights into a vehicle it seems like it was made to have lights and they just scrapped that idea cuz there's always just the right amount of room for the lights
I'm sure I could. But I like the challenge of making things from scratch like this. I hope it gives other people inspiration to just have a go, and that you don't need expensive equipment to get great results. At least that's my plan.
@@thetworoos I completely agree. Watching Dave knock something together in CAD would be kinda boring. And I also completely understand wanting to do things by hand with just some plastic, a knife, and glue. I’m always ridiculously impressed with what Dave comes up with for solutions to broken parts.

Wow, thanks!
*_LIGHTS!_* Can't help but love lights on miniature models, man.
Those lights just elevate the entire toy to a higher level of play and display-ability. Very nice Dave!!
Action Force had really cool vehicles, remember standing in the toy shop looking at all the vehicle box art. The Marvel comic was one of my favourites as a kid.
That is awesome. All it needs is a spot or bracket to stow frostbites gun.
Absolutely love the Snow Cat & its boxy '80s design; probably my all time fave Joe vehicle - this was great!
I had the Snow Cat, I called Frostbite, "Kenny Loggins" because that's who he looked like.
😄
I never expected this result when I started part one. Absolutely outstanding!
Thanks 👍
I love that you added lights.
Nice work my friend, that's absolutely factory looking now!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
From a great classic Joe vehicle, to a great classic Joe vehicle made _better!_ The lights work really well on this!
Cool looking toy, restored to a quality standard! And as for those lights.. Non-permanent or not, I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to remove them! They look brilliant!
I like the repair to the canopy for the wiper.
The lights absolutely put it over the top! SO AWESOME! Great job!
The lights look awesome. It's like the toy was made for them but budget wouldn't allow for it. Great custom restoration.
I got the Snow Cat for Christmas 1986. Good memories. I love the light kit, well done.
Amazing work . Those lights make this toy pop
This was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid. Well done my friend
I wish my snowcat had lights, that would have rocked!!! Great repair and restoration!
That little fabricated windscreen clip is beautiful! 👏
Oh. What a wonderful removable custom job, too! Wow! Nice one Dave.
Thanks. It was the easier option that trying to repair the clear clip. And should be stronger.

Just happy to see it all in working order. Such a good fix. The lighting looks so good.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love the simple steering wheel Mod Dave. Cool lights.
Thanks 👍 Lego often have just the right parts you need for a fix like this.
Dave never ceases to amaze me with the endless potential of styrene
It's almost as good as Lego!
Really neat restoration. Well done.
Thank you! Cheers!

I'm about to start restoring my snowcat, and I'm very glad I watched these videos first cause the lights are the coolest
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s so awesome! One of my favourite Joe vehicles from back in the day!
Amazing, I love the lights! It’s got me thinking about customising some of my childhood GI Joe vehicles with lights, too. Thanks for the great idea and wonderful channel!
Thanks for all the info on the custom lighting. I have wanted to learn how to do this for my Joe vehicles for years. It looks amazing. 👍🏻
Your work is so brilliant, that I firmly believe that one of these days, you will end up bringing one of your Action Mans to life! The problem is, you'll have to get a talking cricket to take care of him... And I bet finding one of those won't be easy.

Amazing job in the repair/restore and custom work.😎
Wonderful job, as always! The light kit really elevates this piece. Thanks for posting this.
Excellent windshield fix!!!
Thanks! 👍
Wow... even though I didn't collect GI Joe, Action Man, or MOTU, I still find your related videos to be fascinating and inspiring. Nice upgrade!
Glad you like them!
Though I played with Joe's in my childhood, I am not a Joe collector currently so I wasn't all that excited about this. However, seeing it all lit up was well worth the watch. It's a great toy as is but you improved it tremendously. If any toy ever screamed "I want lighting" it would be this one.
Wow! Very impressive!
brilliant project toy polloi. i dont think i could do that wiring with leds . snow cat look awesome with the leds
Awesome!!! One of my favorite vehicles!
Love the New Order instrumental
Very Nice! One of my favorite vehicles next to the Cobra Wolf.
The lights really elevate this restoration. Would have loved if the Action Force/GI Joe vehicles had all come with lights.
love the idea for the steering wheel! your snow cat is amazing!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful work as always, Dave. I really love the lighting idea and that you designed it to be removable is brilliant. Sorry I missed the premiere.
Its true that the fix may not look like the original but honestly I think it looks better. Gives an illusion of hiding the mechanical components and the white is a good contrast to the clear. Excellent work sir.

Hey Dave🙂
Vehicle looked great in the end.
It really cool chatting with you and watching your video.
Take care
Thanks. I will try and do some more Premieres over the next few weeks. Was nice to chat with everyone as well. Cheers

Sounds good to me🙂
Not sure if I will be up at 3am next time, if I know ahead of time I will sleep in the day before...haha😏
wow i really like that custom so cool love your videos Dave man taught me lots Thanks!!

Amazing work on the restoration and the lights mod. I personally have no interest in GI Joe but your work here is exceptional.
Looks amazing!
The LED Mod is awesome .
Awesome work! Great inspiration! I got myself a Snowcat in the mail today. Sadly one front wheel axle was broke, so I need to construct a new axle. Will probably drill in a metal rod and glue it.
Your work is so clean and well thought out. The lights are an awesome idea! Wish i still had my Snow Cat.
Thanks so much!
That is a beautiful toy! I really like the lights. It really looks like something they could have done.
Thanks. I'm sure they must have had the idea to add them, the space is already there for it all.
I always found Frostbite interesting, because my Junker Storm Shadow has Frostbite's arms
Amazing result!
Beautiful work, mate!
amazing work as usual man. You are a top notch toy restorer
Great job with the Snowcat Dave. I love it, and wonder if I can make something similar to it, and make it remote control. :) I am definitely thinking about it. :)

A very nice result there

I don't even LIKE G.I. Joe! Hahahaha.
Well done!
Love your work and videos! Hope u get an UV box like other restoration channels have, so u can de-yellow the toys with better results and faster.
I totally forgot I had this toy until you. Thanks!
Rad led mod!
Frostbite, and maybe perhaps, Dustmite.
Excellent! 👍
Very nice restoration👍
Thank you very much!

Love the addition of the lighting.
Thanks. I have never seen them before.
This is awesome!
When you cut bpack plastic , instead of using a black marker put a flame on it. It will shine it up and look good as new.
You rarely improve toys man, but when you do, you do an excelent job and as you say: Why wasn't this a feature in the original?
A great video as always.
Id love to make an rc mod for this toy.

Thanks. Not a figure I have, but will see if I can find one. Cheers
Top class
Amazing job Dave, is your background model making experience? Or just try and try again? Your fix it ideas are just incredible!
Nope, I work with computer graphics. I just like to tinker with toys. Thanks
Seems like painting the correct axel pin black would have been easier than modifying the wheel.
Awesome!
Love this channel👍
Thank you 😊

Not one I have looked at. I have Tiamat, but no wings on mine and the legs are fine. If I find another I will take a look.
Wow thanks would love the help, much appreciated, now wish me luck i find fang fortress in one piece....lol
COOL!!
Just terrific! An awesome job on the lights, and I love your windshield wipers repair! I do have a general question for you about how you make your videos. Didn't you have clear plastic?
How do you whiten up the plastic and get rid of the yellowing
Check out some of my older videos on this subject. Cheers

👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ur wiper repair support makes more cent than the clear plastic. Real world the wiper support b made of metal an b covered with plastic or som
I think I remember winding up with this for Christmas, long ago. Typical spoiled kid, I found it terribly, boring!
