Love this DIY! So inspirational when people start with a clean slate and let their imagination run! Great video. Thanks for sharing!!!
You are so welcome!
He's a very common sense smart man. A build at its purist, and I love it. It will grow with his ideas, since nothing is set in stone. Also, a very heartwarming lesson in being happy with what you have and being proud of what you can do. I think that's the secret of a wonderful life. It's easier and good when you have the money, but it's more rewarding when you don't.
Happy Holidays from your biggest Texas fan! 💚❤️
Thanks for the support Suzanne. I love Christopher’s spirit
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures me too, and his sincerity.
Don't ever apologize for having to do it on a budget, there's lots of innovative thought there to be proud of! For someone like me who is torn between a van and a small class C / B+, that is the perfect size vehicle! Thanks for the tour. Happy New Year to you both!
Great point!
This is one of my favorite van life videos. Dude is real and built something most of us can accomplish unlike all these other people who start with $300k builds
Yes, top of my list too
Love this build: he's very pragmatic and doing what he can with what he's got. Creative problem solving skills. Thanks for putting this up.
Thanks for the support Ashley
I built my rig the same way. I did have a basic design in mind, but I really just had to start in the front and get that done before deciding on exactly what to do in the back of the rig. Mine isn't perfect, either, but it fits my needs. 👍
Right on!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone.🎄
Thanks!👍
Thanks Phil, Happy Holidays
Another great video! Beautiful Chinook & DIY build. Inspiration to anyone looking to begin there camper lifestyle. Cheers ! Himanoya
Yes, I really loved how relatable this tour can be to so many people renovating RVs and building their own campers
I love that it’s a build that works for him and he did it affordably- right on bro!
Thank you
The attitude of this Young Man is Awesome and worked on his dream van the way 👏 that his budget aloud him to do. He wasn't afraid to take on a challenged job. Thank You Patrick Enjoyed and Blessings "Merry Christmas" 🙏❤️🥰😇🎄 From Pennsylvania,USA
Well said!
Chinook was the best motor home i ever had
They really are great rigs
This guy has his eyes on the prize.
I see other people that spend 3-5 years and thousands$ building a fancy rig and I'm thinking Why? Was it your goal to build a fancy rig, or was it your goal to travel? And, for the money they spent, they could have bought a brand-new commercially made rig. In my eyes those people spent 3-5 years *Not traveling, and *Not realizing their goal.
This guy however, got an efficient build done, cheaply and quickly and is realizing his goal of traveling. Good on 'ya!
I love his project, it so relatable to many
Simple and practical!! Perfect!
Glad you like it!
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures love all your videos brother. Keep it going!!!
@@FADI_TINY I really appreciate all the support
He is such a good explainer...@24:02 cost of this Chinook. Newer complete Chinooks are $35,000+
I really like Chris, such a solid guy and very genuine and sincere
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures I like the way Chris 'drilled it' - he ran thru the whole shebang with you barely saying anything to prompt him
@@ForbinColossus happy you noticed that
What a positive and inspirational young man, good job.
Yes, one of my top favorite interviews
Lots of space and I love that he’s building for comfort 😎
Exactly
Awesome Job.. ant wait to see when it's all finished..
I love this guy's attitude. No shame in the game!
I really do too
Great build. Have a great holiday season Patrick. 😀
Thank you. I love how sincere and real he was about getting out there and just doing it
Awesome build my man
I'm glad you like it
I love this. Very creative young man. My first van is a no build, build. I used what I had, and got things from thrift stores. I looked at Chinook vehicles but nothing was close to me or affordable. Learn as you go and just get out there!
That is awesome!
Patrick - Have a Merry Christmas & a safe and Happy New Year! You post some great stuff!
Thanks, you too Linda
Merry Christmas Patrick
Thank you Janice, Happy Holidays
Such a great budget friendly build! Love the fiberglass ceiling, looks very clean! 😃
Thanks so much! 😊
Awesome I can’t wait till I can do my own soon
Go for it
Great job 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Van lifers say start with simple set up, see if you like it...and redo as you go. Seems you will have many ideas before you decide on a more permanent set up. Enjoy, safe travels.
That's the plan!
He can all ways due more work on terms, and his back splash he mentioned
It’s a great project
I was going to say nice start, but 35000 crazy
Yeah, they have good resale values
Congratulations on your van build! What do you use to hold down the odor in your composting toilet? Enjoy your travels!
I believed he used sawdust
Great build, you did a really good job!!
Thank you so much!
LOOOOOVE it..
Me too
NICE
Thanks
Love this 🌻
I’m really impressed with his presentation
Patrick I got a listing on my Facebook market page for a 1998 Chinook. I'm in R.I. It's in Connecticut. Asking price is $30,000.
Oh wow, good luck
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Merry Christmas.
Maybe Facebook is checking up on me from TH-cam. I wasn't looking for a Chinook.
I have been looking at used Pleasure Way older Sprinter ones. Waiting for the price to come down a little.
Nice find!
Thanks!
OMG that woman positively BUTCHERED that coach! Some people should be banned from hardware and auto parts stores. 😂😂😂
He is putting it together nicely
👍 👍
Happy Holidays Karen
If in doubt seal it up….rofl.
You don’t want leaks or drafts
He sounds just like Shia LaBouf 🤔🤔😂🤣😂
Really?
Great job 🎉
Thank you! 😁
I guess different strokes for different folks. From my perspective this guy took one of the best built rvs of its time and totally destroyed it to the point it has none of the charm of the original Chinook. Premium craftsmanship to a total hack job. On a positive note I love his spirit, and his focus. Ultimately he living life, his way and not on focused on how nice his RV looks. Still, as a woodworker for 50 years and someone who really appreciates craftsmanship I totally cringe when I see how this thing was butchered.
A lot of "used to be"
Just like a renovated house 🏡
Camper looks cool, that hat needs to go! That van would look cool with you wearing a Boston Red Sox Hat!
If you had to chose a team hat for him to wear, what would it be?
Butcher
He is a truck driver.
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures lol
Not a DAMB thing wrong with get r dun and get out to the fishin hole. I love the Chinooks
Thanks for the support
Nice find!
Very!
