Atomsk was constantly called a meme pick, and even though he didn't go far he played exceptionally all weekend, every one of his matches was a treat to watch and i recommend them to everyone.
It’s easy to know how the matchup is going to play out if all the player does is the same move and uses the same character in every competitions. Anyone can watch their previous matches before the match up themselves vs that said person they watched pervious. No body changes their strategy when they know they found what works to win, so it’s easy to manipulate this. l

The Void V Aaron set was my favorite set of the tourney. Not because it was close, but because you just got to watch Void absolutely dismantle someone.

Analyse void sets, he went crazy at summit. Last we saw he was like 30th on the pgr with a character crisis. He was seeded 13th I think then got 5th only losing to zackray and marss!
As a Dedede main this probably doesn't mean much, but I really do think that King Dedede is underrated in the professional smash scene. It makes my heart happy to see people like Atomsk showing the world what we're made of!

It's always crazy to me when people complain about when top level low tier mains get into big events. Can you honestly say you'd rather see generic joker main get carried for the millionth time, or see a top level player for a character pull off new, interesting tech and strategy you've never seen before?
Sorry but joker players aren’t carried, joker is an extremely difficult character to play and you need a lot of practice to do well, if joker is so easy, why don’t you try him?

The fact that King Dedede is a low tier does not mean that he is a bad character, in fact, no character is because when you face a King Dedede, a King K Roll or Ganondorf, you know that you are making a mistake and they can make you a simple combo but what does it do? a lot of damage to others that they knock out very early, so do not underestimate the worst characters in the game because despite having clear weaknesses they do a lot of damage and knock out early
Taking special note of how stubbornly Atomsk is clinging to center stage. The only times he goes to ledge are when put there by being attacked/thrown or going in for an edgeguard. Otherwise he tries to spend as much time as possible between the platforms.

However, Summit was sort of a “popularity” contest in a way because people like Hungrybox who doesn’t play much Ultimate and also Europe and Australia did not have many big tournaments in order to qualify for Summit which is probably why someone like Gluttony and other top players from Europe and Australia couldn’t get in; plus the many other reasons why they couldn’t make it. That’s my guess anyway

People constantly underestimate Dedede since he's a super heavyweight. Having multiple jumps and insane ledge trapping is what makes him one of if not the best super heavyweight in the game.
This win also has alot to do with wizzy not participating in the pandemic. If you look at all the sets you can see that wizzy and atomsk were by far the worst players at summit
Nah, Dedede is an easy matchp for Mario, Wizzy is just washed and his campy Mario doesn't work anymore because that not the current Mario meta. Damn, he did pretty bad, who the hell uses grounded fireball with Mario and not B-reversed ones
I feel kinda bad for dark wizzy, everyone was so toxic to him. Dark wizzy was playing off though, he was dropping punishes left and right and even his neutral felt desperate and greedy. I hope he grinds and gets back to where he was.

In truth i wish MkLeo used his Joker at the end. I mean he got 3 - 0 the first time he battled Tweek. So i thought we see the Joker but instead he use Pyra and got swept again. MkLeo knows speed kills in this game and Diddy is a fast character especially when he can get combos off. Maybe MkLeo needs too drop those DLC and use something new. I mean every character MkLeo uses is DLC. Joker, Byleth and Pyra/Mythra.

Tweek v Arron was such a good set! The patience, skill, and timing was so well done. After seeing tweeks Diddy against people like Leon, watching the ditto was so entertaining! Highly recommend Poppt do an analysis on it, he'd enjoy it I think
I like how with your analysis videos you also focus on what the person who loses needs to do even though you know they will lose eventually. I think its better than just saying what the winner is doing right.

Can you do a really hype/aggressive match like VoiD vs Riddles, or Marss vs Kola for character you'd bee more familiar with. It'd be interesting to see you do some more rushdown-based reviews as opposed to generally safe plays that you see with some characters like D3 or Pit
Good combo to start the match as dedede: run up, jump, inhale, spit out, jump, up tilted Gordo. It’s a good combo and could sometimes lead to zero to deaths.

Wizzy is overrated, he got high on pgr because of his camping style before everyone figured out the Mario meta. And he doesn't even know how to deal with an easy matchup for Mario
As a Dedede main myself, I'm surprised that he wasn't using f-smash on the ledge-trap. If you space it correctly it covers roll, and breaks shield if they do a neutral getup and shield.

As a Dedede main, I can definitely say he isn't a high tier, but he is in a bit of an odd sweet spot that causes upsets like this. He's just bad enough that it's accepted fact that he's a low tier, but, he's just good enough that underestimating him for being low tier is a REALLY bad idea. That only works for the first stock though, maybe the first set at most, after that anyone would start playing seriously; the other problem with DDD is just how *weird* he is. Most of his attacks are, on paper, quite bad. But, as bad as they are, they're wildly unpredictable. UpB and Gordo move at variable angles that require reacting to on a case by case basis, and in gordo's case, reacting to while STILL paying attention to DDD himself too. Add on top of all that the fact that he is one of the hardest to kill characters in the game, and you have a character that is the living embodiment of "so stupid it just might work"
Riddles' Match vs void was kinda epic would love to see that one (I actually haven't seen it but everyone says, so here's my comment for the algorithm and i do like Riddles lol)

From the main bracket, my favorite to watch was void.
I also just loved seeing leo, tweek and spargo all fighting eachother with the new roster.

As a Dedede main, I can definitely say he isn't a high tier, but he is in a bit of an odd sweet spot that causes upsets like this. He's just bad enough that it's accepted fact that he's a low tier, but, he's just good enough that underestimating him for being low tier is a REALLY bad idea. That only works for the first stock though, maybe the first set at most, after that anyone would start playing seriously; the other problem with DDD is just how *weird* he is. Most of his attacks are, on paper, quite bad. But, as bad as they are, they're wildly unpredictable. UpB and Gordo move at variable angles that require reacting to on a case by case basis, and in gordo's case, reacting to while STILL paying attention to DDD himself too. Add on top of all that the fact that he is one of the hardest to kill characters in the game, and you have a character that is the living embodiment of "so stupid it just might work"
