Oh, those are nice! The only shocks I got of this quality are some Associated for a crawler, it's a nice detail with the o-ring in the preload collar so it won't shake loose. Mostly I try to make do with the CVA's, I actually find them quite good, to my limited knowledge, ha ha! As always, I really enjoyed watching your video, Mikael, have a great weekend when you get there, I know I am getting close! I got my own TT-02B video to work on, hopefully I manage to finish it soon, the usual issue with limited hobby time...
Hi my mate! Yeah, I use a lot of Tamiya’s CVA shocks too. If they are tuned correctly, especially with the right piston and the right springs, they are excellent. Never had any leaks or trouble with them. I got weekend now, apart from a little work I have to do Sunday evening. But I will enjoy some family time until then 🙂 Could be cool with some hobby time too. Maybe a couple of hours late night 😅 I know all about the limitations too … Thanks a lot for watching, Mads. Have a great weekend. Hoping you will get some time for your TT-02B … this weekend or later ☺️
Hiya, Mikael! Oh, those shocks are just gorgeous! With all the other mods, this buggy just wouldn't look right wearing the stock shocks. Gotta be near the end of the mods, now? I think this will be near the ultimate TT-02B you can get! All the best, my mate! :O)
Goddag Mark! Yeah, real beauties. And really nicely set up too. Not too hard. Not too soft. Yeah, no more mods for now. Well, except for some new street shoes. I will probably change the gears/diffs at some point, when they start to break. Hope they can last at least for the first couple of gear ratio and silver/black can motor tests. Will be fun. Right now I don’t have a lot of opportunities to run it though. Either it is rainy or dark evening or I am at work or with the kids or feeling cold. Well, that’s life 😅 thanks a lot for watching my mate. All the best to you too.
Nice shock build bro, Another awesome upgrade for the TT-02B. It looks great 👍,Now it has way more bling than your MS version... So guess next mods are playing around with gearing and motors? Hope you and the family are doing great bro, Enjoy the weekend 🙂
Hi Chris! Thank you for watching my good friend. Yes! I’m finally there where I thought I would be in the spring ! 😅 The car is all good to go now. Just need to edit the final video. And then the tests can begin. But now spring and summer is gone and the roads are wet and dirty. Ohh, well, hoping for a sunny day soon 🙂
Looking very very good my friend, It's almost to pretty to run, Other than diffs & electrics, what else can you do, get the blue chassis? Love it Mate, great job as always!! Stay safe and stay healthy!!!!
Thank you! Yeah, well, this is gonna be a speed test car for gear ratios and motors. So hopefully it’s just gonna go straight without too many crashes. Hope the plastic gears will hold up. Ahh, heard people tell that the blue and white chassis are pretty fragile. I think they are out of production by now too. Stay safe my good friend.
Not a clue :-) but for the TT-02B they seem about right. They could have been a little softer so adjustment options for ride height was broader but for me, it’s all good.

Oil shocks really make a difference 👊🏻👍🏻
Yeah! The stock ones are oil filled too though.
Looking forward to finally seeing this thing run! Great series!
Thank you my friend! Appreciate the feedback
Those looks like a premium shocks, very nice upgrade from stock ones for sure. Awesome video bro, build is coming along!
Thank you my friend! Yeah, really happy with both the quality and looks of the new ones. Almost finished now 🙂

Gold springs are nice looking I wonder what their tension rate is.

Fully upgraded RC Car
Stock 540 silver can motor
Please upgrade the electronics at some point :)
Ha ha, got some plans but right now I just like that everything is shiny and upgraded and it still got the silver can and the plastic gears 😅🙂
What are you going to do with the original shocks?
No idea (yet). But usually over time I sometimes find a use. Always good with spare parts and different shock sets to play around with.
Will these fit on DT-02 chassis?
Yeah, you can always shorten them with an o-ring more inside. You might want to use softer oil for a DT buggy. Especially in the front.
@@NordicRC thank you sir.
I bet that's a $40 US set.
65 € over here 🙂
Sick build I just built my TT-02BR with hop ups and super happy i also made a little vid showing my coolection check it out!
