As a seamstress I wish I could have it all in a cute bin or basket xD but I always try to reuse glass bottles or mint tins to be my little compartments ♡♡♡ my sewing room is starting to get an apothecary vibe =3
One tip: Don't throw away the "bad threads", you can use them to baste what you are sewing instead of pinning, it's much more sturdy and effective! When you're done, just remove the basting threads!I've seen many experienced costuming youtubers use cheap thread to baste and good thread to sew.
These threads are so bad I wouldn't even use them for that. They snap, have bumps in the thread so you can't even get it through the eye of the needle. Utter rubbish.
I love how you use the inside of the lid as well (in the ottoman videos especially), I never would have thought of that! But I sure am going to start doing it!
Maybe it could have been a sweet idea to use the bad thread as the stuffing for the needle holder, although it probably would have taken a lot more time!
If the wool sweater is 80-100% wool you can felt it. Basically washing it on hot a few times. Then you can cut it without fraying, and use it for all sorts of purposes.
I MUST know! Where did you find the wooden box?! I'd love to get my hands on something similar... Edit: I just read the description box... It's there. Now I'm just wondering how big/ tall each compartment is.
Me, me, me!! OMG!! Those buttons are my latest obsession!!!! They are everything I've been looking for for a project I've had in mind!! Where could I find your post for them?!?
You always have the most beautiful and unique pieces!

I feel this deep in my soul! I dream of the day I can have a sewing room and not take up some of the living space

10:54 Too bad you don't knit. Those would look gorgeous on a hand knitted sweater like my mom does.

Its listed on the description box : )
That box is so beautiful and I love all the compartments too! Are you going to paint the detail on the top of it?
Not sure yet. I'm going to think about it for a while first.
the box reminds me of hannah montana’s make up box in the movie lmao

9:29 I saw a bump... Is it what I think it is?
I saw that too...but I could also be projecting because I'm going to be an aunt! 🥳
I also noticed something, but let's not freak out, if she wants us know, she'll let us know.
@@JoTheBlackWolf haha right.. 😁
@@recurvess9569 congratulations!
She could have also regained the weight she lost when she was poorly. Hopefully that means her health is in a better place!
Very informative video, thank you
