I gotta say. The Mickey Momo scene would also be played out in "Escape From Cluster Prime." In my opinion, this episode just didn't make senses. Like we don't exactly know how old jenny is. But Jenny tried to explain the teacher. But the part where she said. "Yes hon, But you didn't have diagrams to prove it." Like what? She needed diagrams? But anyways, I love your vids and pls do more My Life As A Teenage Robot episode retrospective.
I think that's something that pretty much everyone can agree on. That Nora gave the same explanation that Jenny gave earlier, and simply because she had diagrams and Jenny didn't, the teacher chooses to believe one's explanation over the other due to the 'visual aid factor'.
The opening song was amazing what are you on? Also the reason that Nora made her a teenager as a way to question authority and make extremely important decisions on the fly through real-time programing I think it's called. If you were to stick an adult mindset into her, she'd follow orders blindly without question, if you stick a child brain in there it'd be like Baby Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.
I think she just wanted to have a daughter, though parenting teenagers is notoriously difficult in many cases, so why she would want a teenage daughter as opposed to one younger is another question.
I think the reason why Jenny was made to be a teenager and not an adult was so that she could learn to live in the world. If she were made as a full-blown adult already, she would have no reason to care about anything other than her job, like a machine. This dehumanizes Jenny completely and just makes her into a weapon. I'll also say that from the lack of kids... she probably wanted to have a bit of that familial bond. We did see she was made after other far less successful robots.
The reason the kids liked Jenny after the bullying is because they saw her weapons and recognized her as a superhero. And constantly putting Jenny in peril for the sake of jokes is exactly what the Christmas episode did too. As far as I'm concerned that is the only right answer to "what is the worst MLAATR episode."
I can give you an excuse: teenagers are the most humane age, because it's just between the age where you're too emotional for responsibility and the age where you stopped giving a heck, so if Noreen is to model her murder machine after humans, its gonna be teenagers
2:35 As the son of a kindergarten teacher, I have no objection to this, you should see my mom when my little cousins come and tell me this isn't an accurate description of how kindergarten teachers see their students
Glad to see you guys keeping this show alive. Watched this when I was little. I got a question though, yall ever gonna make them episodes, its been like 6 years or somthin
The I am the robot scene is meme metirial Gantz and Saar: "But, but, we are the center" The Labor Party: "We are the center" Everyone: "You are the center"
I do agree that this is my least favorite episode, however, I feel like this episode proves that MLaaTR is like pizza, even the not so good ones aren't a complete train wreck and have good aspects to them. I like the beginning of the episode with the Mickey Momo song and the Super Bowl 100 reference is funny. Of course I also like the dodge ball scene and the "I... am... the... ro...bot" song became somewhat iconic, but overall the episode was pretty unnecessary. I mean, did anyone who watched this show seriously think to themselves "we need an episode where Jenny goes to Kindergarten." Even with this episode being a weaker part of the show, it's still better than some of the post-movie Spongebob episodes like the one where Spongebob becomes a garbage hoarder. Don't even get me started on that one. Congrats on 21K.
I personally kinda liked it. Moreso that it managed to be in the weird era where it *could* exist. Like, imagine a show today, where the "hero" was able to smack back against little carps.
I think it's so out of character to use her powers like that, but i also find hilarious because i never tought i would see Jenny fucking murdering children let alone they start to like her after the beatdown xD
I don’t think it’s quite the worst episode of the show (that would be Designing Women, I really hate that episode), but it is a very close second. Just a frustrating episode all around. It has a few great moments like Minky Momo and I Am the Robot, but for the most part it’s just an obnoxious episode
For me, it's one of the favorite episodes! (For its nostalgic value) since it's the only one that I could fully record on VHS back in the day. I used to constantly repeat the part where she defiantly says in her spanish dub: "¿Quieren jugar rudo?, Pues jugaré rudo", and then hits all the children with the ball, haha~ The backgroud music of that whole scene always seemed so cool and catchy to me! :3 Greetings from Guatemala! (In Central-America).

Tbh, i can definitely see the hate on this episode, but I don't think its the worst, nor is it the best. I'd say Last Action Zero one of, if not, the worst episodes. And no, it's not because of the ZONE animation. Brad seems really unlikeable in the start of the episode. Then most of the episode takes place with him, which isn't really fun to watch as he just roams around filing paperwork. Jenny is just getting beat up in the episode. Normally, I do like seeing Jenny in a disadvantage, its really fun to watch her struggle, but this time she feels really underpowered and just helpless, it's just uninteresting. And, if we include the "zone animation" into this, it just made the entire episode feel really uncomfortable watching. It's the only episode i would actively not want to watch.

Though I feel like Jenny would have felt kinda offended seeing this kid doing the robot.
