    This is my favorite knife. My Chosen One.
    I own a custom hand ground in pure drop point, no hole. Very unique one.
    It is in my opinion the most functionally advanced knife in the industry. The Shark lock system has no equal when it comes to its combined strength and ease of use. It's thickness makes it capable of being a hard user while it's incredible edge can still be used for thinner slicing. This isn't pocket jewelry or a gentleman knife, this is machine built for use.
    Mr. Demkos knives are truly about performance first. Love them so much...
    End rant

      This one with the hole is really bothering me, i saw one of that without hole. Butsadly it doest mention what version is that. Ifyou dont mind what version is the 1 without hole bro.

      @@Lowkeyman5184 the one I got is a handmade custom. Not sure if there are any production models without the hole.

    I want a 4" AD/MG 20, w/the 3V blade, in DLC, and completely blacked out without the hole in the blade; that's the one I want... Awesome folder; I luv the Shark-Lock! Peace, Stiletto :-)

      Hi Stiletto - just purchased that very knife yesterday (AD20 DLC regrind.) I have been buying Cold Steel only for the last 5 years and this is my most expensive knife purchase ever. I am very excited waiting for the postman to bring this knife - have been watching every review whilst I wait. You have an amazing collection and I enjoy your video posts. Cheers from Australia - Ian.

    Hey bearded gear! Watch all your vids now. Great content love the different style, so refreshing to not watch another knife review with just the knife and hands. Where are you from? I’m here in CA near the fires that just happened.

    My AD20 is stupid sharp out of the box. Very surprising. I’m gonna send you a picture on IG you’ll maybe appreciate.

    The sliding lock mechanism is steel it should be marked 17-4PH if you look inside the knife when open. I read on the forums that it’s the same steel some hand gun manufacturers use for uppers/slides

    It looks to be a really `fun‘ knife to own and I get the impression that everyone should have one in their collection. It’s not a beauty queen but that’s not what you buy it for, it’s a utility/worker that’s ready to go to work at a moment’s notice with a lot of fun in the bargain. I’m definitely going to have to get myself a Demko 👍 as usual thanks for the vid Jake 😄✌️

    I've been on the lookout for this knife for 4+ months. They disappear before I can make a purchase. I'm not going to give up looking, but damn is it frustrating.

    Lock is kind of like an axis lock but up/down orientation with external release instead of integrated sideways into the handle. Too bad Cold Steel didn't have a shark model.

    This knife got my attention for years. This knife would be the one to take with me over any other. What is your opinion of this over a Hinderer xm24 and medford's

    • @beardedgear
      @beardedgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t like Medford’s at all lol, and I like this better than the hinderers that I’ve experienced 👍🏻

    Man I would love to own this knife, however at this point in my life I can't in my right mind spend so much on it LOL, maybe someday.

      One day you’ll get one... until then you can try out the demko designs that cold steel makes. Who knows, cold steel will prob make an ad-20 eventually too. I had a few cold steel knives before I got a demko lol

  • @CaPpedDoG
    @CaPpedDoG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh man I want one so much! No one carries them here in Canada though and I don't want to take the chance of importing one because it might be seized by customs 🤬

    • @CaPpedDoG
      @CaPpedDoG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @MM79 As far as I can tell, it is fully legal here. The problem is, there are many, many stories of customs seizing even completely legal knives when entering Canada. Don't think I want to risk it with such an expensive piece :( I did briefly speak with Mr. Demko though and he said he will look into carrying them here! Fingers crossed.

    Think maybe three videos per knife is a tad superfluous? Unboxing, first impressions, review... overkill.

    • @beardedgear
      @beardedgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you don’t like it you’re welcome to just not watch them lol. I take this process because sometimes I discover that I learn new things between the first impressions and the full review, and people seem to enjoy seeing the unboxing. So no, I don’t think it’s overkill. If you do, just watch the full review and skip the others. You’re responsible for what you click on and watch 🤣
