Good to see ya back out there!! That's a good bunch of artifacts. You've got a lot of quarts over there, that something we rarely see here. Thanks for the video 👍🏹

Glad to see your still getting out and finding, been wondering if I'd see the beautiful mountain view from the spot where it looks like nothing grows 🤔weird. Sucks the storm ran you off. I've found more than a few points and lots of flakes made of white quartz like the ones you said were sun bleached but they weren't exposed to the sun for very long, atleast recently. They really stand out against the reddish brown dirt here in Northern Virginia, I've spotted some from @30 yards and my vision ain't very good lol. Nice saves, I hope you keep them coming 👍 GL next hunt.

I grew up on signal mountain..just behind Chattanooga and I remember as a kid at a lake I learned to fish in we saw a thick black snake go across the road and when we got to it it started hissin and flattened out just like that..turns out it was a puff adder..my grandmother said they almost went extinct in this region..I wasn't but 8 or 9 but I can remember the hiss it made like it was yesterday..killer finds...my girlfriend found her 1st full point last weekend..ended up takin 14 artifacts home..

I'm sorry to be petty, but that snake species isn't native to this continent. We do have hognose however, which are know to have the behavior you mention

I enjoy your videos, you know your stuff. I found my first projtile point in 1969. And hunted mainly in the south west Virginia area and western North Carolina area. So we hunt the basic areas. Like you, I have my best sights in clear cuts and plowed fields and not much in and around creeks. While in other parts of the country their best is in creeks. I wonder if around the mountains around here the kind of material in the creeks make it harder to distinguish between man made work artifacts and just a natural rock in the creek? What are your thoughts? Is it worth the time hunting creeks in western North Carolina? Thanks, David

Can you tell me the general area of western NC you are hunting? I’m recently moved to Bryson City and having a hard time finding them. Compared to South Georgia it’s really proving to be difficult.

    • @ridgeraider1

Bryson City is over an hour west of me… I’ve never hunted that far west… have you found anything at all?

    • @ulfhdnr

@@ridgeraider1 No, not yet. Tried to walk the Little Tennessee west of BC today but it’s running high and everything underwater. Hopefully it will drop soon and I can get to the gravel bars. Cherokee were right here so there has got to be something. I’ll let you know if I find something.
