    That bowl is beautiful. The blank had a great grain to it. The golden scales just set it off. Great job again Mike!

      @@MikeHolton Not sure whether I missed that in the video. How did you match the size of the tiles to the circumference of the bowl? Did you scale the graphic after outside turning was complete?

    • @MikeHolton
      @MikeHolton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jurgenwartmann6584 No I didn't say, I knew the depth I wanted for the scales 25mm, so I measured the circumference of the bowl and worked out how wide each one would be to fit exactly and not either be too wide or too thin to match the depth. When I knew the size I altered my templates so they were all this size and sent this to the laser, I think it ended up 25mm deep and 20.21mm wide. The great thing with lasers is that you can be as accurate as you like. Hope I explained it well enough. All the best, Mike

    🎉🎉🎉 This is a one-of-a-kind! I watch woodturning to relax and I've not seen anything like this in the three years I've been watching! FYI... if you send your sticker, business card or anything to Pohl Barn, Tuornage Dubois, Ben's Worx, Nick Zammeti, Sprague woodturning and any others, they will feature you & put your sticker on their boards. They're great guys! Should bring you more subscribers! Let's get you to 100,000!

    I really like the wood/leather combination, it's given a great result,lovely piece of art and gives woodturners another great idea to give their imagination a work out,they don't have to copy but can use leather wood combinations in other ways to take their woodturning to another level,thanks Mike for getting us all thinking.
