  • We've owned goats for a couple of years now and although we still have a lot to learn, we have learned some very important terminology that probably would have been SUPER helpful to know before we made our first purchase. Fortunately for us, we bought our goats from several very knowledgable homesteaders and we've learned a whole bunch from this great people. Check out this video as we give you the 411 on the terms you need to know before you buy goats.

very nice video, good info, grew up with farm animals, and raised them myself for over 30 yrs,30 yrs ago words were different, same meaning,we dehorned them about 1-2 months old,put a x on top of the horn nub, horn would not grow, also if we bought them with horns we removed the horns, they are like hoofs, loss too many getting there horns caught in fenceing, grew up on goats milk,i help delivered alot of newborn goats, and other animals,l,i like your videos alot, cant wait for the next one, thanks for sharing.

Great info!! Did any of your goats have success after your recent mating? I think I may have missed that video. Your goats are great!! That one wants to train to be a cameraman (: Thanks Lance

It sure does. She loves the tripod. We heard from the vet and they are not with babies. So we are going to let them date one more time this year.
