Can't seem to agree with the phone thing...my manager who is senior vice president in a big brand uses a basic Android phone. It symbolises being down to earth, rather than status.

I think what he said was more about the generality and first impression...obviously you don't judge a book by its cover but most people actually do even unconsciously. Where I live when you got the brand new Iphone you're generally regarded as someone of value(I find it absolutely dumb lmao) even if your parents bought it for you. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's an absolute rule but in certain regions or environments it can be true.

Exactly this. Apple fan boys will rave about "new" features in the iphone and how innovative apple is despite that feature already being on Android for years. They're completely fine for paying for unnecessary dongles and being forced to pay $60+ for a quick charger that has come standard on Android phones for nearly a decade. Apple didn't get this rich by being honest

Most people mainley get iphones just to fit in which debunks them being confident in the first place. Being financially driven only apply's to a few iPhone users and they do tend to make poor financial choices sometimes. Also about android users being less caring when it comes to financial issues and stability isnt true most get it to save money others have it but want something better then their current device which actually drives them towards getting the new device hence financial drive. In my opinion whether you have an android or an iphone doesn't really matter that much and if a person only think's your successful beacuse you have an iPhone then Nontheless they were never worth much in the first place. :D also i aint hating ( edited ) part.

About the phone thing: I see everyone talking about that its not true. I somewhat agree with them. On my opinion, who uses iPhones, are most likely the "Cool guys", or the guys who just go with the flow. I would say, what Jose is trying to say, is somewhat correct. Because a successful individual probably not going to use a Galaxy A10 series phone, because they are cheap, and bad. But I wouldn't say that iPhone users are necessarlily rich, and successful, neither for android users, its more about the certain phone's performance.

I don't really think a phone determines the success you have. Some people are just weak or unsuccessful and they have an iphone. Same with android. For me it doesn't mean a lot but if a study says this it can be true but I don't think of it as a factor of success.

In the first point the study was made in the US, where the iPhones are predominant, and the majority of young people use iPhones, a huge part of them only because the peer pressure and the status they think its giving to them.
Also, saying that just because you are using an android phone there is an increasing chance to become less likely sucessful and confident its really like you were sponsored by Apple or something, and for sure not true and misleading. If you are really into mobile tech these years you well know that top tier android phones are in part with iphones in quality, and when you get a flagship the choice is usually made bye OS preference. The statement that android phones are shit compared to iphones are getting more ridiculous year by year. You can be a confident and sucessful man with an android phone, and also, you can be a miserable poor man with an iphone too.
The only thing the first point really should tell you is that iphones are often fashion accesories or status symbols just because they are expensive, and it is a real thing that somebodys confidence based on the device they are using. Personally, I want my phone to be a high quality tool that help me to get closer to sucess, and not a fashion item. And my confidence is based on other things, not on the type of my phone.
