Despite having his work criticized, I like that Riku's still smiling that Nikol takes after Shulk. Hell, he probably grew up with him and Panacea, so he knows Nikol does take after his old man. Probably worked together on projects, given Riki's own aptitude with making a makeshift ether rifle for Kino out of organic parts
FRR, and Nikol is SOOOOO cute, and seeing Shulk doing dad things makes my heart melt and I wish Fiora was in this cutscene, their interactions would be sooo cute!!

We never actually see them bonding or what it is about each other they like. Combined with the fact 95% of Fiora personality is just being Shulk, love interest, and what links she has to other characters.
So many things here just warm my heart. Nikol's red goggles, them bonding over his equipment, the smile between Riku and shulk. Riku is in on what shulk was trying to do, made the squeaky comment all worth it. Also, I kept getting triggered every time I saw him one handing the monado REX when he has a second hand again. However, this scene basically confirms that months or even yearscould've passed before he was actually able to get the prosthetic. Makes sense that he'd keep to the single handed stance.
According to the Twitter reveal of Shulk, the prosthetic is both weaker and less dexterous (apparently having been cobbled together by Riku), not to mention it probably doesn't feel as natural as a real arm. So he can only properly fight with it with his left arm. You can even notice in a few scenes the prosthetic doesn't articulate as well as his other hand. He can use it generally, sure, but it's probably not remotely good enough to replace his old dominant hand.

Eh, idk, however, why even have it at that point? The most use he gets out of it is reading his book. Isn't having 1 lest appendage to hit a good thing in combat? Considering it kinda just falls limp when he's fighting.

They were presumably killed during the collision, and simply not brought back by Origin. Given that Aionios has been around for at least a few generations at this point, the bigger question is why Shulk and Rex were brought to this point in time, since unlike Melia and Nia, their lifespans aren't nearly long enough to have been around since the start.
It's odd as some of the Colony 9 NPCs are said to be realted to people from the original one. Panacea being Sharla and Ryan daughter is the biggest one but you also have a girl who is the granddaughter of the guy who made curry. So I'm not exactly sure how many people survived the worlds fusing together
There's a dialogue with linka (when you add her to the community Tab) where she says that during the merge and creation of aionios , origin assorbed the majority of the people just as planned, but for some reason some where left in the now merged worlds (shulk , Rex , the queens, panacea , linka , riku and the First liberators). The people left behind in aionis doesnt Age and are probably kept alive by origin, Rex says that its fate and they are there for a reason because they have a role to complete.
@@Unoj151 We don't actually have any proof that they don't age definitely seeing that both Shulk and Rex are physically older then they were in the original fight with Alpha and that only happened 15 years before the DLC took place.
@@4wheal riku Is Alive and well 1000 years later so...plus the only difference between the First fight with alpha and fr are only shulk hairs (and the Battle wounds), they can stop aging but still having stuff like hairs and nails growth. If they do age , then its at a very slow pace compared to normal (in both cases the resoult is the same so doesnt really matter). Otherwise riku and other nopon npc, would be long dead by the time of 3, and linka e panacea wouldnt be 18/19 years old since as you said the fight with alpha Is 15 years before fr and those two are in aionios from long before.

The kids are clones of the original kids. They were made to fight ends wars for the main villains of the game. They were only thought how to fight. They were never thought the concept of parents, like what a mother and father is.

Glimmer and Nichol dont understand the concept of sex or parenthood. They're recreated from data in origin and every reincarnation of them is created at 10 years old. The only thing they share with the real glimmer and nichol pre origin is their dna.

He's using his weapon much like a certain mentor and brother-in-law of his.
Riku built the arm quickly with hodgepodge materials. It's probably weaker and lacking proper nerve endings to feel whatever it's holding.

Technically he is. He's not some sage and he doesn't have any otherworldly powers. He just was close to Melia because of his dad (Riki).
