Many mistakes here: 1: the titanic had a double -hull- bottom (sorry for the mistake). 2: the Britannic immediately became a hospital ship. Spending no time as a passenger liner
No, it was a passenger ship for a little bit of time. But another mistake was that when they said britannic went under a bunch of changes, it showed a picture of the Britannic from the 1930s
Construction was halted when WW1 broke out. Later, the British government payed for it to be completed and fitted as a hospital ship then returned to White Star after the war.
The Britannic only sank for the simple fact that when it hit the underwater mine that it bent the ships superstructure, and the watertight bulkheads weren’t able to close, and the captain wasn’t able to operate the rudder due to this either. If it didn’t bend the superstructure, odds are the ship would’ve been fine and continued service until it was scrapped alongside the Olympic.

@@clf8965 it's like this one newspaper company thought it's gigantic so they publish it as gigantic But white star line stated that it's really and only Britannic
Everybody talks about Violet Jessop, but Arthur John Priest's story is even more impressive, having survived *five* sinkings (Titanic, Asturias, Alcantara, Britannic, and Donegal) while working as a stoker.
The Britannic wreck is diveable, but you'd have to be very experienced. As for the Olympic, much of her interior panelling has a home at the White Swan hotel in Alnwick, Northumberland.
Sadly the only ship you could visit would probably be the britannic because you can dive down to it... maybe titanic but it’s very deep and expensive to get down to... Olympic is gone
0:46 that’s actually inaccurate because the Titanic sunk from the front then electricity went out, but after all the ship’s pressure from sinking, it broke into 2.
The Olympic was one of Titanic's sisters coming to save her, but when the Olympic offered to help with the survivors, the Carpathia responded with a heavy no. They said they didn't want passengers seeing an almost identical ship of Titanic, a ship that had just sunk in front of everybody's eyes.
1st, Britannic never became a passenger ship, she was brought into service after she had her funnels and propellers on 2nd, Britannic sink due to a mine 3rd, Olympic changed course from titanic due to the crew saying that the survivors would be terrified to see another ship that looked like titanic come to save them.
Let me correct a few things here: 1. On the morning of April 15th, 1912, Olympic’s crew didn’t ultimately decide to abandon the rescue operations for her sister, the captain of the Carpathia got on the wireless and told the Olympic to not come. 2. Olympic did not sank, she was ultimately scrapped, like stated in the video. The click-bait on this video is real. 3. There’s overwhelming evidence that suggests that a German minesweeper, U-79, laid a barrier of mines a few weeks prior to Britannic’s arrival. She just happened to strike one of the contact points on the mine, ultimately knocking out any chance of closing the watertight doors between boiler rooms 5 and 6. There’s little evidence that suggests a U-Boat followed Britannic and hit her with a torpedo. Is it really that hard to do research on a known topic before making these videos?
Just so everyone knows, the Olympic actually stopped heading for the Titanic’s position once she was at least 100 miles away, and at that time the Carpathia had declined their request to take on survivors because Captain Arthur Rostron and Bruce Ismay feared that the Olympic would traumatize survivors even more as she looked identical to the Titanic in almost every way. It wasn’t just cause they decided they were too far away and too late.
Guyss if ur watching this check out the unsinkable lady!! Also that video is on brightside too she survive over 3 sinking ship!!thats crazy.she survive titanic ship, olympic ship ,and britanic ship thats so amazing!!.
At the beginning of the video, you said “How Titanic’s Tragic Sister Ships Sank”. Only the Titanic and Britannic sank. The Olympic was scrapped for parts
4:43 That image of olympic is one of the Titanic! You can tell by the windows on A deck, on Titanic, half of the A deck promenade was enclosed, but on the Olympic, the promenade was all opened up! You could literally have used an image of the Olympic but you're too lazy to even search Google Images. Also, at 4:50 - That's the wrong Britannic. The one from 1929.
Olympic didn’t decide to turn back, they were basically told to turn back and not be seen by Carpathia to prevent further panic from the survivors and that all the survivors had been rescued. This however made Olympic’s captain Haddock very depressed for quite some time. There was no evidence Britannic was going to be called Gigantic, that name was what the populace was calling her. White Star never acknowledged such a name. 4:50 why show MV Britannic though, completely different ship. Britannic also never entered commercial service, where are you getting that year and a half?! She was requisitioned before she could enter service. If she entered commercial service in 1914 she would have been painted grey at the time. Also Jessop was actually hit in the head by the propeller and was actually saved by a corpse’s arm, morbidly enough.
I've always been fascinated by the legend of the Titanic sinking and although I don't really do regrets I wish I had been alive in 1912 so i could have spoken to the survivors and asked them about their experiences.
I'd rather be able to see what the Titanic looked like in real life and be able to cosplay the clothes popular then. Definitely wouldn't want to be alive during 1912. But I can understand the allure of the stories from actual survivors and better yet meeting them in person 😊. Though I have been hearing about the Titanic ll being constructed. I wonder how that has been going 🤔.
Just some corrections: The Britannic never carried a paying passenger. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMHS_Britannic. Also, the Olympic was not scrapped right after the Nantucket incident, but one year later after another year of service. She would have served more, but there was a merger between Cunard and White Star. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Olympic#Lightship_collision
I would have loved to have seen the Olympic ship to learn more about her history and who had sailed aboard her , I also think she should have been kept as a monument of history to honour the people who perished in WWI as she had served time in the war before returning as a passenger ship x
The Olympic wasn't late, the carpathia said that they could hold them because Olympic look exactly like titanic so they said the passengers would get panic attacks
Yea the head of white star line, J Bruce Ismay said that carpathia should take the survivors because of how Olympic could cause panic attacks to the survivors
4:50 that's not the Olympic class Britannic. That Britannic was made in the early 30s, while the Britannic you meant was way before. White Star line had more than one Britannic.

Captain Arthur Rostron's idea. He knew definitely what he was doing. Bless that man.
1st, Britannic never became a passenger ship, she was brought into service after she had her funnels and propellers on
2nd, Britannic sink due to a mine
3rd, Olympic changed course from titanic due to the crew saying that the survivors would be terrified to see another ship that looked like titanic come to save them.
3:04 he’s clearly talking about World War I but that is a DC-3 from World War II
Let me correct a few things here:
I'd recommend to them to watch Titanic, HMHS Britannic, And Lusitania
Also the britannic never had passenger service
Just so everyone knows, the Olympic actually stopped heading for the Titanic’s position once she was at least 100 miles away, and at that time the Carpathia had declined their request to take on survivors because Captain Arthur Rostron and Bruce Ismay feared that the Olympic would traumatize survivors even more as she looked identical to the Titanic in almost every way. It wasn’t just cause they decided they were too far away and too late.
Lesson of the story, never ride a ship with Violet Jessop. 😂
That is so mean 😂
@@Cajun_Mama I mean he ain't lying she wouldn't even get in the car with me if she was alive 😂
I think you should ride with her. I mean she could be the person who saved you if you were in trouble.

Did you get that joke about the Titanic?
It took a while to sink in.
He has the story wrong. It was the other ship that sank, not the titanic. It was an insurance fraud because they didn't want to fix the Olympic.

That image of olympic is one of the Titanic!
They probably just watched a TH-cam video and copied then put random pictures

Iceberg: I like your cut g 👋🚢

I’d want to be passenger on the ship

Just some corrections: The Britannic never carried a paying passenger. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMHS_Britannic. Also, the Olympic was not scrapped right after the Nantucket incident, but one year later after another year of service. She would have served more, but there was a merger between Cunard and White Star. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Olympic#Lightship_collision
Also, Olympic had just left Southampton when it struck the Hawke so did not limp across the Atlantic to Belfast.
I just realized that "HMHS Britannic" meant "His majesty's hospital ship Britannic" :D Like if you agree
whatever---it sank
I would have loved to have seen the Olympic ship to learn more about her history and who had sailed aboard her , I also think she should have been kept as a monument of history to honour the people who perished in WWI as she had served time in the war before returning as a passenger ship x
There was a female who I think was aboard all three sisters if I remember she became a nurse on the britannic and survived the accident
