I think Annie knows what shes doing. Come on. The picky comments don’t help her. Of course she looks this through to see what can be improved/changed. We never see her final attempt, obviously this first try is just that, a try. I’ve been watching all of these vidoes, so impressed! You are easily my favorite athlete, lots of love from Sweden ❤️
Thank you for posting these vids Annie. Watching you execute these painful workouts, and then listening to you talk about your methodology and why you use a heart rate monitor truly illustrates the scientific aspect of elite level training. I watch you, and I see the definition of mental toughness. I appreciate and applaud your focus, discipline, and commitment.
I bet she does second attempt and loses like 30 seconds. We love you, Annie! Thank you for posting the whole workout, you are freaking brave for doing so and putting up with all this shit
Your movements are just fluid. Your technique is beautiful in everything even when you're fatigued, Annie!! And that(unfortunately) is so rare amongst crossfitters. Keep up the good work, you're always crushing it 😉
183 heart beat 🔥6750 lbs total weight 🏋️♀️ Pygmy (etruscan) shrew: 1200 bps/72000bpm 😱 You are a huge inspiration to me! I started crossfit this year and I love it! Love from France 🇫🇷
Answer 1 =183 bpm Answer 2 = 6750 lb or 3061,748 kg Answer 3 = pygmy shrew. I looked it up and it is so so cute and a heart rate of 1200 bps 😱😱😱 I love your weekley uploads. I just started crossfit and have been watching crossfit and the open for a few years. Love that you upload before all the scores are in because I am always curious how the best women will be doing 🥰 keep up the amazing work 😊
So really (Hi lol) Male 64 from Missouri here been watching crossfit for sometime time now and have a good handful of competitors I follow ( You, Sara, Katrin, Kara and of course Tia) have always admired Your stamina and longevity. I think this next year is YOUR year `(DO or DIE) to beat Tia and climb to the top again. I guess what I'm saying is I'm really rooting for you and know here in the off season that your putting in all the effort it's going to take. GOOD LUCK (Wish I could come sometime go to watch YOU compete.)
Hey all, I believe there is something in the rules that says that no one else is allowed to bring the bar back to the athlete. They're allowed to load the weight but can't bring the bar back if it rolls away. Make sure Frederik doesn't touch that bar during a set in attempt #2.
Jake Sebok he had to fix the weights from falling off the bar? They can’t just fall off you know, other than that he did not interfere during her sets of cleanjerks
Tom Bateman yeah see I commented right before I saw him do that and it would’ve been ridiculous to remove my comment defending him. So yeah, that move he did there is probably penalty-worthy, but still this is just her first attempt. A mistake or a few is fine
also 14:51 her judge moved her barbell, which was a weird rule added, maybe he forgot but i doubt she will get docked for it since she still completed all reps to standard. Also the moving the bar thing shouldn't even be a rule so I side against Crossfit on that one.
Yeah... saw that too and felt badly for her. Not her fault though. It will be interesting to see what the referees say. Annie's an incredible athlete - both physically and mentally giving it 100%. Really appreciate that she shared her strategies and thoughts about the workout.
I thought that they could move the bar between her sets coz they have to touch it whilst changing the weights. They aren’t allowed to touch it in her reps. Say If she does 5/10 and the bar bounces away, they can’t get it back. But they can move it when they are changing the weights because they have to. Although the did move it at the end.
Everyone here is either counting heartbeats or arguing about the judge touching the bar and here i am fascinated by how her left leg automatically goes back just a few inches everytime she wants to jump off the box . Like seriously EVERY singal time ! Makes me think you are left handed Annie .
Not trolling but they said on the open announcement that you can get your plates loaded but you have to re tighten the plates and clips yourself after your first lifts in each round. I would double check the rules because fred done it for you in the last round.
Amazing job! I have a question... in that last round of cleans, I know you said your form wasn't perfect. Is catching a power clean with really wide feet like that bad for your knees? It seems like it would be, but I've seen a few people do it
They said in the rules no one can touch your bar when you’re in the middle of a set, I think you’ll have to redo if you don’t want a penalty, amazing time tho!
Annie, what advice would you give to any athlete allowing their head to say no when clearly if you are pushed your body can perform? I often find that I tell myself I need a break, however, if a coach was around shouting "go", I can keep going.
Might want to look at your box jumps too, to me it looked like the hips not fully extended right off the bat. At the very least that box jump you tried to save, as your falling backwards your head and shoulders arent over your hips and knees. I know you will smash the redo. Good luck.
One of the best!!! What sucks though is the judge should’ve just judged and shouldn’t have taken his eyes off her let someone else load...hopefully she doesn’t get penalized
won't this attempt not count? in the announcement last night, they said coaches couldn't touch/re-position the bar on the C&Js after the weight changes. they could change the plates for you, but they couldn't touch the bar after that. last set the judge repositioned the bar
Yeah it looks like it: “Athletes may set up multiple barbells. If one barbell is used, the athlete may receive assistance changing the load on the bar. Receiving any assistance other than adjusting loading is not permitted unless safety is an immediate concern.”
He had to secure the weights? When he touched the bar they were close to the edge. Seriously, other than that he stepped far away from her during her sets. He’s just making sure the bar is good to go
Firstly congrats to your performance so far in the open 💪🏼 Sooo cool your Doing a giveaway with polar 😍😍 The shrew is the mammal with the smallest body size but highest heart rate in mammals with about 1.200 bpm 🙊
For the Polar Ignite, Maximum heart rate of 183! For the Polar Vantage M, 6750lbs for the females and 10,500lbs for the males (gender wasnt specified in annie's question) For the Polar Vantage V, The pygmy shrew at 1,200 beats per second :O
I do not understand what principle is the placement of positions in the leaderboard, you were third, then a strong jump down, which upset me very much...but today I checked again...God heard me:) I'm afraid to jinx, but I can not contain the joy for you, Annie
Honest question: The second pull in the clean, just above the knee and not a little higher, it's to preserve energy or just the way you/her usually do it?
@@ztremblay21 Yeah, around 2:40, she looked out of control at the top of the box jump, so that's a penalty. Also, the standards say "Hips and knees are fully extended, with head and shoulders over the hips." If you slow-mo her reps and compare to image at games-assets.crossfit.com/e0fnd09fd.pdf then I think we're looking at a ton of small penalties. Which is too bad, because we all know Annie is a beast
