    This is the best compilation of sound clips and specs on YT. I installed the Borla for the sound, the appearance and the quality before some of these other systems were available. I think all of the other systems have a mid-pipe resonator like the stock system to make them quieter and the Borla does not, but with a bigger turbo you might want to go with one of the larger pipe systems. You could probably count the HP gain on my high school wood shop teacher's left hand ✌but I like the sound without the extra muffler in the mid pipe. Cold starts and heavy throttle are loud but it is pretty tame otherwise.

    Love my Dc it’s loud but not annoying loud ❤low drone but I don’t have a downpipe or any other modifications. I’ve heard when you start doing add-ons to it it does get significantly louder but for what I have set up stock. It is been a great add-on. Sounds amazing. The Rev9 exhaust is underrated for its price imo its one of the best sounding exhausts coming under borla and thermal rd sounds great catted or catless and it has little to no drone. I do alot of back road driving and this exhaust has been very beat up but its holding very well even after a year. It has been on my 1.5 and now its on my new 2.0. Also the 4in tips look fantastic.

  • @stealth2.0t
    @stealth2.0t ปีที่แล้ว +5

    In my opinion, all these exhaust systems sound great with the stock downpipe but with a catted or even catless downpipe that can change the sound quality drastically. I had a Borla exhaust three years ago, which I got rid of because with a catless downpipe it is so loud and has so much drone. If in the future a true JDM brand create an exhaust such as greddy or hks that has a nice deep tone at the lower rpm’s but still would allow the turbo sounds come through at high rpms. All of these exhaust have immense raspy sounds at higher rpms that even with adding a vibrant resonator would not it fix.

    My issue with the 27won video is there isn't enough sound clips that aren't muffled to insanity by music/talking. Can't really tell how good it is just from their video. I feel like they would have done the most research on their exhaust considering they are the last ones to come out with one, I also trust their products, but definitely need more clips of that sound. The Thermal was probably the best sounding but. also leaked at some point.
    My current one, the Function Werk is true dual 3" exhaust and the quietest when resonated. Overall, I would pick the Function Werk due to its diameter, look and quietness. There you have it.

Not everyone wants to squeeze out every ounce of power, some people only want better sound and that can be achieved by really inexpensive mufflers, but which one to choose. i dissect, i think between the 5:31 Thermal R&D muffler is nice, still sounds a lil factory but when you floor it it gives off a good sound without the bubbly noise. NOW, 10:51 the DC sports muffler i think is right up my alley for my 2018 6 SPEED MANUAL, it’s a low key sound with an upgraded sound from the factory and once you floor it especially with shifting gears (hallelujah, glory to God) that sound would just let you catch the holy ghost. knowing me ill go more the Thermal R&D since i don’t want to remove the OEM muffler bumper bezel and i want it to remain a factory look for years to come. for you though ill say GO FOR THE DC SPORT CHAD 👌🏾

None of that angry bumble bee sound that makes me laugh with a lot of Hondas I've seen running around. I'm waiting for more videos of the exhaust to be released before I decide. Glad im in a lemon factor vid 😃. Got some important info/ warning for some regarding the rev9 of you are lowered.
    Im lowered & went to Tijuana completely forgetting their speed bumps are like 4 of ours combined. I scraped the bottom of the exhaust which caused it to be in contact with the heat shield that protects the electric steering gear unit on the rack & pinion then burned a hole in the actual heat shield. Which then let heat on to the plastic part of the electric steering gear unit & melted some plastic away . Couple months later I drove by a somewhat flooded part of the street omw back from work( a little less that half up my wheel) & since im lowered water easily got into the open parts of esg & now need to replace my rack & pinion 🥲. I was quoted $3741.13 at a mechanic shop & refuse to visit the dealership since Im fbo tuned on e40 😅. Idk if its just rev9 or all aftermarket exhausts, but Id check out that heat shield if you’re lowered & ever scraped pretty bad. Also, I bought the exhaust back when they were $300 on ebay lmao. So you get what you pay for?

    Random question. I just started modding my 20 Honda Accord 2.0t and have learned a great deal from you. I currently have it Ktuned. My question is this, If i straight pipe the exhaust, will i need to modify or change anything with the ktuner? I know with certain exhausts you have to turn off certain sensors, but wasn't sure if they applied to straight pipes. Thanks for any feedback, i appreciate your time.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re switching to a catless downpipe, then you will have to make some adjustments in the KTUNER settings. Otherwise, a change in the rest of the exhaust would not require any adjustments.
