Kinda an odd question, but which of these do you believe would be best to modify into a scientific tool? Bro I was at work today and I had got my 8 year old the HBX 16889 last year for Xmas only to have my wife tell me the boy was sad cuz he accidentally drove it into a fucking sewer canal.... It was I believe the brushed version but he loved that car/truck so im thinking about buying something similar or the same.. Told her he should throw the controller down too and let the IT clown play with it. 😂😂 Kids these days amirite? The early to mid 90s i had an rc car that was twice the cost, 1/4 the speed and I remember the "quick charger" had alligator clamps to hook directly to a fucking car battery haha.
Ouch! Ya I’d get the “pro” version if you were to replace it with something similar. But yes Pennywise needs a hobby too! Kids! You are right! The only RCs I had in the 90s was cheapos from Kmart or Walmart 🤣
Ha ha, always good to see you presenting a pile of smashed up RC's and telling how good they are! That's proper credibility, dude! I've been shopping RC cars at Amazon (Germany) a couple times, actually never bought a cheapo Chinese from Amazon, but found some really good offers on the expensive brands, rather...

@@DerbyCityRC yea, took me forever to just get a hyper go and didn't even get the model I wanted through ali express cause it was only sold on Amazon exclusively. They should have an option to order without batteries....
@JP-qq2kn that’s weird. I show an option for a single battery version that $299, obviously still ridiculously high, but the link I shared is the two battery version. I assume something is different between regions lol
lol yeah the 1 battery version and the 3 battery version are the same price for me there at $238aud and the 2 battery at $230aud, so is the same price in our upsidedown region
Most of them are about as cheap as it gets if you want something good and pretty fast. For the most part, anything higher end is gonna start around $330, so for the purpose of this video, they are cheap 😃 Really depends on what you’re looking for.
Cheap chinese made crap that breaks and you basically throw the car away. I bought the best hobby grade you can find for 120 and it just isnt as good as a Arrma or Traxxas
Why would you need to throw the cars away? You can get replacement parts! I’ve tested these pretty hard. There’s price ranges and preferences for everyone. If you can spend the money for higher end, yes do it. If not, these are all excellent options.
That was hard to read, but no they aren’t. This is not a child’s toy RC channel. For an actual hobbyist, these are affordable options. It just depends what you’re comparing cheap to.

Actually the coupon in there right now will get you there.
Here’s a review on it. Body is different but that should be it: th-cam.com/video/slBXT6_E_4U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IYsuo2EWRLUBQZ2I
Are there any upgrades for the Hosim Venum x17
I wish! But none that I know of yet. Such a great car but needs a few parts to be stronger lol
The only RCs I had in the 90s was cheapos from Kmart or Walmart 🤣
brother the first to are 160 $
Prices change all the time. They’ll likely be back down.
You’ve seen what we do so being smashed up really doesn’t mean they’re bad over here lol. Just means it’s been used 🤣
?
Have a question?
Wheres the cheap part in this video?
Well that depends on what you’re comparing it to. The toy aisle at Walmart will be cheaper, but these are good cheap hobby grade RCs.
the first is not budget its 240 dollars
Currently on sale for $170, but even at $240, it’s still a budget car compared to others out there.
To bad Amazon won't ship anything with a lipo battery to Nebraska! Sucks...
Whaaaaaaat? Seriously? That must be a Nebraska law?
@@DerbyCityRC yea, I talked to Amazon and they said different states have different permits and they don't wanna pay for them...
Wow that’s crazy. I mean that’s insanely limiting. Can’t get battery powered vacuum cleaners or cameras shipped?
Every state does dumb stuff though lol
@@DerbyCityRC yea, took me forever to just get a hyper go and didn't even get the model I wanted through ali express cause it was only sold on Amazon exclusively. They should have an option to order without batteries....
@OutlawRC I agree man, that’s nuts. Time to move lol
The HBX 16889a pro is $475 through the link....... 😂 wtf?
lol seriously? Where are you located it shows $144.99 for me right now.
Yes please don’t buy it for 475 lol
Yep! Lol. The price in the link is $475.89 for 1 battery. But It's $150 for 2 batteries when I search for it.
@JP-qq2kn that’s weird. I show an option for a single battery version that $299, obviously still ridiculously high, but the link I shared is the two battery version. I assume something is different between regions lol
@DerbyCityRC Yeah, it must be some sort of mix-up.
lol yeah the 1 battery version and the 3 battery version are the same price for me there at $238aud and the 2 battery at $230aud, so is the same price in our upsidedown region
I can’t view all the links cuz of the stupid video of the cars
If I understand correctly, the links are too close together? I spread them apart so should be easier now.
None of these cars are cheap lol
Anything Chinese made is garbage
they or not ceep oll of them or espenseve😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
That was hard to read, but no they aren’t. This is not a child’s toy RC channel. For an actual hobbyist, these are affordable options. It just depends what you’re comparing cheap to.
