Nice trail fix with new parts delivered. Dirtnation seems like a really great group of people to hang out with. Maybe I'll catch you up in Azusa one of these weekends and say hello. I'm a local. In the meantime I look forward to Fordyce pt3.
The one thing that I experienced in the sierras was that a bad break can add 3 days to your trip easily. I'm going to keep tuning. Freakin love the Sierras Series lol
You may have convinced me getting TG 6 shooters and ruffstuff heims on my T4R. Your ruffstuff video 2 years ago and this install may seal the deal for me. BTW that extra bolt on that shim pack Temo asked about is to help remove the steering arms for knuckle service (TG website). Awesome video! Can’t wait for the next one.
just keep the yotaa axle there and kep doing the trail repair. more content thaat way lol jkjk glad you guys were able to get that fixed there. log vice stand was nice lol
I carry extra front axles, rear axle, high steer arm, shock, leaf spring pack , a trail welder, fluids, battery, belts and about 50 other repair items on the Rubicon.
Hello I'm just trying to find out where I would call to get information on the San Gabriel off-roading o h b stuff cuz I want to see what days you guys are open
I know I don't have the greatest front axle right now (Until the D60HP) but I'm so glad I didn't use a Toyota front axle, I really don't like them! Sorry about your breakage, I know how much it sucks! Been there! But we know you, you always fix it
@jeremyquaney5019 I really like the rear axle setup you have going on. Looks like you have leveled out the coil buckets, extended the axle back a good amount, and triangulated. I want a similar setup of outboarding the shocks, changing the coil buckets, stretching, and keeping the original fuel tank location. What specifically do you have going on back there?
@@TJY2K genright crawler tank 19 gallon allows for a 5" stretch, clayton long arm 5" stretch triangulated rear arms, barnes 4wd coil correction kit, axles are Fusion JK 44s 65" wide, rear shock towers are custom, running 2" wheel spacers, fox remote reservoir shocks, metal cloak springs 4 1/2 lift
@jeremyquaney5019 That's about what I was thinking it had. I do have that fuel tank on my wishlist, lol. I would love a similar setup to that. I currently have TJ rubicon axles, and those are a little narrower but should still work with outboard shocks, I believe. What does your wheelbase measure to?
@@TJY2K 98~ wheel base, in order for you to outboard the shocks with your current axles you'll have to notch the frame in the rear to make room but theres tons of kits out there for that. the extra width with the JK axles made it so i didnt have to notch it. the genright tank was totally worth it.
Why not throw a Trunnion Bearing Eliminator Kit in there when you first are doing the "6 shooter" knuckle upgrade? Be wary though, it will not self align even with excessive castor angle 😮💨
Watching you work on this weird Toyota front axle has made me completely hate these weird Toyota axles! I don't even like my rear and it's never given me a problem! Why do companies do shit so weird?
What’s so weird about it? Pretty standard closed knuckle solid axle. This design predates open knuckle. Up untill the 60’s pretty much everything had this design.
@alexbircheff8124 And they don't use it anymore, I wonder why? 🤔 I mean "weird" to me I'm use to Dana, I'm about to build a 60hp front and Sterling full floater for my my Tacoma S.A.Swap and I know, my friend has a 1944 Willys MB, and I know it can be upgraded and the FJ Cruiser front axle from the 90s is a great axle, and High Pinion to, right? I'm really not a fan of low Pinion front axles, I prefer a nice HP, and I didn't say it was a bad axle, but honestly and I made the mistake as well, GO RIGHT TO TONS! Don't waste time on beefing up a IFS, or small axles (Talking to myself 😆) Go straight to big and overbuilt! It will actually save you money in the long run, I'm sure you know this already, I know Dustin does, and it all depends on what you're wheeling and how far you want to take? I have no trailer, and enjoy driving to and from offroad, and I don't see a trailer in the future? Ain't rich, so me and my 1 eyed shop teacher friend who's building the YJ from hell! Are going to drive our rigs, no trailer, he actually sold it, and my taco is my 1 and only besides my motorcycle, it's all I got, so it's about to get BEEFY as Fk!

You guys are tough. You always get things figured out however that was a really bad break on that trail.
💯

For sure worth the investment 🙏🏻 now that makes sense with that bolt 😂

You can always check recreation.gov for the dates it is open….usually open weekends and some holidays… Monday Labor Day the park will be open
After a night like that I would probably just pop a beer rather than a cup of coffee.
😂 not the worst idea

Definitely but I was just tryna use the parts I could find 🙏🏻

You would most probably also need a press to press inn and out the trunions stubs on the arms, not a trail fix indeed 🤠
I always thought Fordyce had a lot of Winchell's not winch hills
😂🍩
