Oh yeah, they remember you alright, like a serial killer remembers their innocent victims. Unfortunately we live in a time where narcissism isn’t only encouraged, it’s rewarded!🤔🤷‍♂️😤

I was fortunate to connected with a former husband that she triangulated me with for years. The lies, manipulation, and orchestrated chaos is more evil than you could ever imagine. Found out the grooming of new supplies can last years and the harem garage is massive. So disturbing and gross.

They remember you when they are in lack of supply of if they learn something about you that could benefit them. If they see you, if someone talks about you, they inevitably want to assert control, either by smearing your name or by trying to reach out then smearing your name.

In my situation, things could not have been different, I had a lack of awareness, I had to go to see many professionals to get over these people.

Thank you for your help. I married a narcissist 3 years ago, not realizing that that is what I was marrying. I thought he was just spoiled as the youngest and used to being single outside of his charm. He is very clingy and jealous, I never dreamed he would discard me! Now I realize what the future may hold and I can start to prepare. I am just now learning to not play his games, and am starting to get the separation and unreactions down, I am sure he will react eventually. Thank you for your help.

I was under the impression the narcissist lacks object constancy, meaning out of sight out of mind. I know BPD definitely suffer from this

The 1st one I ever encountered tried to come back after 14 years of him givt me the silent treatment and i slammed the door shut. He tried to use my cousin to speak to me and i sent her packing too.

Yes. I received an email after 12 months. It's in the bin unread. I am debating whether I should read and reply out of politeness. Problem is I cannot be bothered but there is a slight feeling of guilt/pity for them. This reinforces why I shouldn't. I do not want the entanglement and complications again

Your observations are spot on! My narc mother pushed us away once too often. I had to get away, so I changed our phone number. Life became so much better after that. She has now passed (or “gone back to the ranch”, as my American friend says) so I sincerely hope that I don’t have to cross paths with her in the next life.

I’m starting to study psychopathy now. The ones that I deal with also have some psychopathy in them.
I fisrt think, that they think, “ out of sight, out of mind “. If they’re trying to get back, it’s for control. They see you as an object, a toaster. Maybe they didn’t get their way on something, then comes their weird personality, then comes the weird fighting, etc.
They’re gonna want control. Control the narrative: if you take them back then they weren’t so bad after all or, they win. And things get to go back to the way they were and when my weirdness comes out, he/she will put up with it better.
They think that they’re master manipulators and this time they’re gonna get you, the toaster, to work right this time. Just an added opinion to this good video which hits it on the nail. See it’s going to depend on which mixture of the cluster B that you have. The Borderlines see in black and white. The saying goes, once they’re done, they’re done! But then you’ve got them with mixtures. Shoot, I’ve witnessed one with all three disorder: borderline psychopath and narcissism, comorbid, not just traits! I think the narcissism in him plus a borderline needing to be soothed made him want to be approved, accepted and told that he was a good person and can do no wrong and the psychopathy in him would say to him, screw people, they’re only good for a con. I’m going to use them. I’m going to look for the advantage. It’s my way or the highway. I loose people left and right and so be it. I’ll get another sucker! lol, seriously. That’s what I can predict.
If a narcissist wants you back, they want to sooth their hurt ego and right a wrong that they did but perceive it to be your fault and, “ win “.
And you’ll also hear that they get worse. That’s because they will be more relaxed around you thinking that because you took them back then you are willing to put up with them. I mean the list can go on. It’s going to depend on their mix, plus traits, there’s also cluster A and C that they can have traits of.

After she dumped me I ignored her. She'd get my attention and then attempt to humiliate me. When we met she sent me pictures of her in her plane. In the course of time after I stopped paying attention to her she flew her plane low over my home, two times she did this. I live in a rural area with no neighbors so it wasn't a dangerous thing to do. Why? I guess she wanted me to know she was watching me. I guess.
